  1. No. Cobalt was actually slightly earlier, like a week or so. I got to test ride (not drive) one before the Pursuit hit the dealers.
  2. I would agree if at least it got a different bumper. They could've made a one piece bumper grille that alters the shape to resemble the G6. Isn't that hard is it? Otherwise, it's just a Cobalt with a pig's nose.
  3. A whole bunch of my baby's cousins... but sad to see that they are all rentals. Although a rather pleasant sight (minus the bad cigarette smell) is a bunch of guys that look like the ricer they are driving is in the shop, drives a rental white G6 GT, and complementing about the car. They seem to really like it.
  4. Not that I know of in my area. I see blocky ones more often, particularly from Camries and Civics. Sad but true.
  5. But you know, the Pursuit is hot in Canada, at least compared to the Cobalt. I've yet seen more Pursuits than Cobalts, like a ratio of 5 Pursuits to 1 Cobalt.
  6. Actually it doesn't do it when I start the car. It's when I operate the power locks. Not sure for the window though, will try it out tomorrow.
  7. I see the resemblance to a Cobalt, but the look reminds me of Peugeot more. Still looks nasty though. Looks like something went wrong over at Lordstown.
  8. I noticed this recently. When I operate the power door lock switch, all the lights (dome, reading, dashboard) will all of a sudden dim a little for a second. Interesting is that it doesn't do it when cranking the engine, whereas my Cavalier does, as with many other cars. Is this normal or an electrical problem? I didn't seem to notice this on my Cavalier when operating its power locks.
  9. The codes: 3500: LX9 3500 VVT: LZ4 Both of them are part of the "High Value" engine family, i.e. 60* V6.
  10. Well, at one point you can order Toyota JDM market parts for a Cavalier at GM dealerships, since they have a GM part number. I suppose if you can find the part number it should be possible.

  12. I wonder if they did teardowns for an TSX and a Mazda 6 when they designed the G6. And at some point, I heard they did a Jetta and a Civic when making the Cobalt.

  15. Anyone has an '06 Impala base with the 3.5L? How does the engine feel? I was wondering what if this engine was put into other cars, as so far only the Impala has it. And no, it's not the exact same 3500 in other cars. It has a different RPO code.
  16. Seems like this is a common problem with the newer GM cars. I find it relatively difficult to park my G6, compared to my Cavalier. I suppose it's mostly because it's a larger car, but the rear seems to be "on the high side", and it takes longer for me to make sure there's no car in my blind spot and no one behind. I'm always freaked out that I might hit the cars next to me when backing in. Other cases: - MPH complained about the rear visibility on the G6 coupe in their video Q&A - Gone through MSN autos in the user review section of the Cobalt, people who have one love it, but complains about blind spot visibility. Anybody have the same trouble?
