  1. The point is crystal clear here...and that is that some folks think Buick is being cheap by not using LED taillights. I disagree. The point of my comments regarding zete's very expensive CTS, is that if a fella has so many gripes about a vehicle..why purchase it? My '93 Chevrolet pickup has a glovebox light, so it's peculiar to me why a CTS, especially a very expensive CTS wouldn't have one. I understand wanting the reading lamps, the handle thing, etc, and zete's Caddy should have them. I grant you that it looks like GM was being cheap by the absence of those items. But to me those things don't have anything to do with Buick not using LED taillights. As has been shown by Cananopie and others, the concept didn't even have them, so why all of a sudden does the production car have to have them??? It is a double edged sword though...how many times does mercedes or bmw get criticized for being so expensive? And and I guess we can attibute that to them not ever cutting any corners to save $$.
  2. You drive a VERY expensive CTS? So you have a CTS-V?? Probably not, because if you did, you wouldn't worry about reading lamps and handles. You'd be having a blast smoking all the guys that have reading lamps and handles....Dude, if you don't like the CTS, then why did you buy it? I see you made your point about the reading lamps and the handle thing and a glovebox light??? But what about the etc, etc, etc...is there anything substantially wrong with the car? I think you're ASSuming too much by saying that people are going to think Buick "cheapened out" by not having LED taillights.
  3. These are by far the best pictures I've seen of the Outlook. Saturn has a homerun on it's hands. EXCELLENT. Anybody know when AWD will be available?
  4. I know what you mean man, but don't worry. Tires/wheels dramatically change vehicle appearance and we've all fallen in love with the sporty, wide stance of the concept..... Surely not all versions will have big 21 inch wheels, but surely Buick will make them an option. Dont' write it off yet.... z26luvr01, did you take that video yourself? I think it's awesome and if you did do it, thanks for sharing. I was watching it again and thinking, whoever took this video spent a lot of time following that Enclave around. Pretty cool...
  5. My sentiments exactly....
  6. And your point is....?
  7. P.S. Thanks for the article tama. I'm excited and proud to be a General Motors customer. Things are getting better everyday and it's a good time to be a GM fan. It's also nice to read good stuff like this for a change!!!!!
  8. Car and Driver is a real biased piece of crap with zero crediblity. It appears Motor Trend is following suit. That's a real shame. You reading biased articles written by people who think girls with hair under their arms is sophisticated, is going to prove that GM is back? Why not just go to the new car show and look at them side by side yourself? Make your own decisions based upon your observations. That's what I did and I've concluded that all that horsecrap that certain people claim about lexus, bmw, honda, etc being superior to GM products is just that. Horsecrap.
  9. Have they discontinued the 8.1?Dude, I had an '01 Chevy 2500HD, 4x4, short bed, crew cab, with the 8.1. I loved that engine. I really, really loved it. But I used to get 188 miles out of a tank of gas. I hated that. I really, really hated that. In it's defense, I could be unloaded or hauling the empire state building. I still got 188 miles out of a tank. I couldn't imagine that with gas prices where they've been this last year!
  10. And being a 'dodgefan', I guess you don't think the 'mega-cab' Dodge pickup is ridiculously long? You know, there is usually a 'working' purpose behind a 1 ton dually, 4 wheel drive, crew cab, long bed pickup with a smoking hot duramax diesel and a 6 speed Allison tranny....and first on the agenda is not looking pretty. With that said, stuff some decent size tires and wheels under that bad boy and like always, it will make it look completely different and much "better". IMO, it has a lot of super duty in the front end, which is a good thing. Overall it looks like a real bad ass tough truck.
  11. In my very biased opinion you're very wrong about this. This product is going to change more than you can imagine. In time, you'll understand. BTW, just because you're 60+, doesn't mean you can't drive a cool car. Like buickguy, I'm 35 years old and there will be an Enclave in my garage (on my wife's side).
  12. I am wondering if those wheels will be production. I'm not a big fan of the typical giant wheels of today, but the 21's on the concept were fantastic looking. It gave the vehicle a very wide, stable, substantial look. Are those wheels off of something else, or are they new? That friggin' camo works well. You can't see any real lines on that Enclave. Without some well known 'tell-tale' signs, we'd of never known it was an Enclave... The shots of the interior look like they stayed true to the concept. Couldn't see if the stitching was there on the dash, but overall it looked the same....which is great. Hard to figure why so many are worried about taillights.....also hard to figure that if LEDs are considered "nicer" than "regular" bulbs, why GMC would get them instead of BUICK. BUICK is more "high end" than GMC.....
  13. Did I mention this guy is EXACTLY right on these????????
  14. EXACTLY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  15. For those out there that think there isn't a media bias against American cars, read that!! When I read that, is sounds like GM and Ford lost money due to people 'switching' to toyota. That's horse-$h!.
  16. Drove a co-worker's Charger R/T today. Great looking car outside. Great looking inside. Nice room. Fantastic power. . Don't know if it was the tires or what, but I noticed quite a bit of road noise coming in the cabin on the highway.....seemed odd. The interior materials were suprisingly nice. The wife and I rented a Chrysler 300 a couple of years ago and the interior was REALLY cheap on it. I was real disappointed, so it was a nice suprise to see the interior on the Charger seem classy. My buddy said he's getting close to 20 MPG combined city/hwy. Not too shabby for a HEMI, but he only has 1250 miles on the clock. Within the next year or so, I need to buy a large car. I was eyeing the Buick Lucerne, but after today, I'm really going to consider the Charger as well.
  17. Trying to get American truck owners to buy that thing over a Chevrolet/GMC, Ford, or Dodge.....good luck with that. Dude, if you really "like the looks" of that truck then it's easy to understand why you think DCX is going to have a tough time "dealing" with the tundra.
  18. So why are there so many meatheads out there that believe that the camry is so superior to AMERICAN cars? If you ask folks who drive those stupid looking cars why the drive them, they'll tell you because they think the quality is so much better than everything else out there. As far as looks, the camry is just dog ass ugly. :rotflmao:

    Toyota Tundra

I don't want to offend anyone for commenting on the pictures, but the truck looks just as goofy as the current one. Seems to me that toyota is just gonna keep changing the look of this truck until they get the "magical" style down so they can sell some of them. I can't understand why car companies keep putting that stupid looking silver metallic plastic on interior trim. It doesn't look good and it's a high wear location.....the silver wears off in places in about 3-4 years. The exterior is simply a smorgasborg copy of the American trucks. Mainly Dodge and the Ford Super Duty. The interior looks pure toyota to me, which is a bad thing. Competition is good for everybody, but the japanese don't offer much competition with stuff like this.
  20. Yeah, toyota shouldn't worry about high gas prices because gas costs more for American trucks. Wanna-be full size japanese trucks get lousy mileage and you're full of crap. In your dreams. Dodge was the only brand that did anything like that (back in 1994) and they did it by making a revolutionary AMERICAN truck. japanese trucks are never going to be what you think they are here in America. After several years of attempting to make a "full size" toyota can't get it right. The tundra is an ugly joke of a truck. 14% by '08...whatever.....
  21. spank
  22. The Ram is nice looking and the F150 is okay too. The GM trucks will always be better, no question :AH-HA_wink: The joke is the tundra and/or titan
  23. I think it looks fantastic...but a single exhaust coming straight out the back? That's wierd.
