  1. yeah, we call those organ donors in the ER
  2. wasnt the concept a little over a cool million? if cost IS the reason that would be why that was a true hardtop... cost "one million dollars (pinky rasied to corner of mouth)" production gets all bread and butter on us. that was one of dodges arguements for a 4dr charger, its hard to sell a 2dr coupe. still dont see why they couldnt have done a 2dr for the srt's the blacked out pillar in the beamer is a nice trick. and agreed, i love to roll all 4 windows on my impala down, except for when there are non secured items in the car they tend to get sucked out by the overwhelming volume being sent through the car... lost math homework that way one morning. im pretty sure toddlers should be strapped in too or face a similar fate as the math...
  3. i think dewalt customs has one out... think they are calling it a sawsall
  4. sure i think the new stuff sucks... you cant do a freaking thing with it unless you got a laptop and a hook up to it. fact is i would much rather drive my 69 sport coupe impala everywhere i went... but i would rather some idiot screw me over by demolishing my cookie cutter colorado than the sweet sexy curves of that chevy fullsize. few new cars turn my head but i dont feel like one stalk of metal from the roof to the body will keep me from staring at all. besides it might just make the 1st gens that much more desirable because they dont. i hate a 2 dr post with everything thats in me, but the fact that we are getting the camaro back is a good enough compromise to me.
  5. yeah runs fine, hasnt skipped a beat. i got some cruddy gas once that threw 30+ codes but that was around 15K miles. im humming around 46K now. just something new to me and hasnt come back up since. ive gotten a couple of possible recall letters from gm about premature valve seat wear and a possible faulty gas cap. i must say that the valve seat wear has me spooked the most so i have been a little more wary the past month.
  6. big honkin V8... check RWD... check b-pillar... Who gives a rip the fact of the matter is everyone cried foul when it was over in 2002... with the exception of ford that is. most people could really care less and most wont know the difference. i cant wait for them to hit the streets... got 7 long years of backorder camaro whoopings to hand out
  7. had an odd message come up on my display last night on my colorado. unlocked the doors and hopped in the drivers seat and the display said "RSA1" or "RFA1" i cant exactly remember which. i started it up and the code went away. turned off the engine and turned the switch but it wouldnt pull it back up. anyone have any idea what it is or has it happened to anyone else?
  8. Amen brother, can i get a witness!?!
  9. (UAW)- "hmmm, this goose lays golden eggs... if i kill it, its probably full of golden eggs!!!"
  10. nope it was just an avalanche thing. i asked a rep at one of the car shows what the difference was between z66 and z71 and she said what you said. z66 is for better ride and handling on the pavement, z71 is for the dirt.
  11. good just making sure i had that right or if i was making stuff up in my mind.
  12. ooh very sneaky sneaky... had i seen this on the street parked i would have thought rice gone wrong... im sure at the turn of the key there would have been the inclination of something afoot
  13. i was under the impression that the Z71 was the RPO number for the suspension. like the Z66 the avalanches have.
  14. didnt they make it law around 96 or so that all cars couldnt start in gear, only park and neutral, and you had to press the brake in to shift from park? seems like there were a bunch of kids getting ran over by running cars and whatnot in driveways.
  15. i wonder if the CEO has the lead based paint delete option... arent these the guys that had the rip off canyonrados last year?
  16. reminds me of the old rivieras how they swooped up past the doors.
  17. must be a subbliminal message that domestics are crap. hyundai the mind taker! ooooooweeeeee oooooooooo
  18. what would lexus sell thats comparable to the regal? just curious. which year was the ps boxes going out?
  19. im 25 and i will say without a doubt, if buick brought back the grand national or a V8 GS al a G8 platform, they would have my dollars hands down. buick used to be known for luxury muscle and i for one am confident that they can do that again given the resources. i'll even settle for a lowly t-type regal if thats feesable.
  20. looks like a ram and a f150s love child to me. looks like a dodge coming at you and a ford going away from you. http://photos4.ebizautos.com/5775/2105000_2_400.jpg http://i9.ebayimg.com/03/i/000/ab/69/8f6a_12.JPG
  21. whats the matter, the prancing horses dont want to play either?
  22. dont forget the Z51 option on the regular vette, it makes it quite a tasty treat for the money. as far as the old ZR-1s go only 448 were made in '95 so those are starting to get collectible status. It wasnt all that bad, they just cost way too much. think about it. last year you could get a Z06 for 65 grand... in 95 a zr1 was 63 base. it was just way too much money for the car back then. the option itself slapped 35 grand on the bottom line. i think that even if this vette breaks the 110 mark it'll still be a bargain as far as whats gone into the machine. the price translates well from 1995 to 2009 in my mind.
  23. it's good to be the king!
  24. good call, they only made what 2 or 3 of those? i read a write up that a mag did on the surviving one i think it was hemmings muscle machines. the owner bought the thing at a police auction cause it was seized from a drug dealer... cant remember how much he paid for it but he got it for a steal compared to the real world value of the car.
  25. you forgot the one about the car seat latches and the 04 tundra... i forgot how the punchline went but it was funny none the less. as far as the severe uses they didnt put into account... there still isnt a tundra HD out yet is there? my freakin colorado has an opening in the frame above the back tire and as rough on it as i am i havent seen any frame or body damage on it. 46k miles and 3 years old.
