  1. the side view of the car doesnt make the rake of it that steep to me, no more than my aunts honda accord and that things booty is stuck way out in the air. its the sport version, the angle makes it look good, along with the hood bulge, if a blower were sticking out id say its a little much but its subtle enough and looke like it belongs there. itll have to be there if its got a sc 6.2 in it for the hood clearance just like the zr1
  2. i cant speak for anyone else, but for me... if i am getting ready to make a 5 yr commitment of 25 grand im going to get what i want not something comparable because they were "out". if they want the money they will find it. My colorado came from a dealership in NC, i reside in SC. Even toyo will do the ol swap a roo... my cousins 01 tacoma is from virginia... he lives next door. Have we forgotten how rare a solstice or sky was the first month they were on sale?
  3. video of that thing driving down the street. http://videos.streetfire.net/video/6616642...9d7eca25150.htm
  4. dont sound like a basis to me, more like closing statement... hehe
  5. i too grow tired of the plastic covers but at least they integrated this one and made it useful. face it though, if there were still multi carb setups and flashy air intake systems hoods would be up all the time... alas that ended in the 70's i guess. man thats one tight power plant though... wonder when the crate version will be out heh heh
  6. so it would be a safe bet for the crew cab hybrids to come in around 38K-45K then? if so piss on that i'll just stick with gas...
  7. if ride height is a problem, heat up the springs hehe, thats a quick fix for that problem... however you best know what you are doing in the process cause its new springs for you if you dont. i got z71 on my colorado and would still love another 5" on it cause scrubbing crossmembers sucks. on the subject is there any other auto maker in the process of hybrid fullsize vehichles like to this scale in the works or is gm pretty much doin the pioneer stuff in this segment?
  8. in your face lexus...
  9. we got kevin whitaker chevy in greenville, he always has a lot of vettes, he collects them from what i hear. at the moment he has 11 on the lot 2 of em Z06's. back when the original ZR's were king he had 2 of em on the show room. black and a red one... dad was shopping for a Z28... i think he was lookin at the wrong z's although he could have gotten 3 camaros for one vette. that'll be the sure place to find the new ones when they come out around here. back to subject, the local chevy place in anderson got in a blue ltz thursday... its parked in front of the show room. i slowed down to look at it but as soon as i came into view a dealer started makin their way to my truck. might go have a look at it today. trying my best to get the G parents to pick one of em up to replace their 97 bonne

  14. as soon as i saw the link i was thinking G8 special performance edition. 8 lug wheels and all... sigh...
  15. ... And knowings half the battle... Geee Iiiiiii Joooooooooooe!
  16. yeah, my sister has a 98 s10 and both of hers let go. i am pretty sure i heard about a recall on those cables too cause i mentioned it to my dad. his response " should have never stopped putting chains on there to begin with"
  17. if anything goes wrong on the gm tailgate it would be the cables that support it. my dads 97 had one to break but the other never let go. even my colorado tailgate is stiff as a board. i had the heads, crank, and intake off of my 350 sb along with 180 pounds of me on my tailgate yesterday.
  18. smell my feet
  19. IIII EEEeeeeee! suddenly fred flintstones car is appealing.
  20. 2.54 for 87 here in anderson sc. man, i remember when i could pull into the texaco, pump my 69 impala full of 93 (at 93 cent even) octane, go inside and get a 20 oz sprite and still have almost a dollar in change from a $20... freak you didnt even have to pay first you just pumped and then went inside. my what 10 years will change.
  21. our top story, the suzuki x-head which swept the golf cart olympics in every category was disqualified by olympic officials after performance enhancing steroids were found in its gas tank...
  22. but my point is they want a noisy outdated pushrod over the beamer... nevermind the fact its a vette. earlier the rant was about pushrods and how bad they are... remember?
  23. "you in the red celica! Pull over!!!"
  24. yeah youd never see a bmw owner trade say an 04 545iM in on a pushrod v8 like an 07 corvette coupe.... they just dont do that... and yeat i have a contractor friend thats in the process of doing just that. nevermind its a vette... its a PUSHROD bum bum buuuuuuuuuuum!!!! what does any of this have to do with a transmission anyway?
  25. reminds me of the old "looks fast" celica commercial where the dog comes running acrros the street and smacks the drivers side. also funny.
