  1. not really, back in the day Z28 was king, maybe not in hp numbers but it was the top of the camaro ladder... base, rs, ss, z28 tis the one to go to when one wanted to go fast and turn. rumors have it that a dynoed 302 crossram from the trans am series days put out close to 380hp. who did the dynoing? some guys that raced mustangs so they could see where they needed to go to keep up.
  2. i hate to be the bearer of bad news, but you keep demanding GM to make a RWD impala. Buddy, this is going to be as close as you will probably ever get to one, its not on paper, its not "gonna be coming soon", its here. Embrace it for what it is and what it does. we understand it falls short in the automotive world that is defined by you because in only 4 pages you have said so multiple times. please for the love of everything Holy quit raining on our parade. Pontiac is actually driving excitement again.
  3. the closest outlet we had for a long time was Airsoft Atlanta, now we got a place here in Anderson called battle cat sports. they charge about $30 more than they should for guns so the local guys that dont know any better are kinda getting ripped, they sold a buddy of mine just getting into the game a cyma and told him it was a TM mp5 but i digress, they are opening an indoor/outdoor field in an old warehouse they are renovating. other than that the 10 or so of us usually head out into the woods behind our houses for skirmishes, used to start around 1700 and go til the next day but here recently we are only finding time for 1 day or afternoon games since everyone is out of high school with jobs.
  4. looks pretty appetizing... certainly better than say...
  5. because you are imagining hitler saying "schnappen Sie oh dieses Hot-Dog ist groß!"
  6. et tu brutus?
  7. hehe maybe my friend should look into one to carry his stuff in. ever seen a PSG-1 hanging out in a ford ranger? (raises hand) I has hehe gotta be careful though he sometimes comes here cause hes a closet GM fan
  8. man im im so far in the south its the first part of my states name. we got pork whatever you want (and dont want). have not heard of this pork roll you speak of, do explain.
  9. does it come in the retina detatching green (please)?
  10. and BLUE
  11. I can see that, didnt think about that. if it was true about a damaged name then i know why the 04-06 GTO's failed oh snap! hehe
  12. figured, but i was just saying the sprint is a pontiac thing too, not just gmc.
  13. hehe but wait, hemmings muscle machines had one of these in the issue a few years ago... http://clubs.hemmings.com/clubsites/pontiactn/ohc6.pdf "The new SOHC I6, the brainchild of Pontiac Chief Engineer John De Lorean (who became Pontiac's general manager in 1965), was available in an economical one-barrel carbureted, 165 hp version that was standard equipment on all Pontiac intermediates except GTOs. Optional on all Tempest and LeMans models except station wagons was a Sprint package that included a hopped-up four-barrel version of the 230 in³ OHC six that also included higher compression ratio and hotter cam, resulting in 215 horse power, along with an "all-syncro" floor-mounted three-speed transmission with Hurst shifter, suspension kit, and body striping." wikipedia the last year was 1969 which saw it grow to 250 ci making 230hp and 265 ft/lbs but it wasnt called the lemans sprint anymore was it PCS? i think sprint would work fine even though it could get confused with the gmc moniker.
  14. theres a guy that runs a mechanic shop down the road from my house in this week i have seen his 1) 71 tripple black chevelle 2) sassy grass green 'cuda a 70 maybe 3) and just today my favorite. a 69 hugger orange ss 396 chevelle... man i envy that guy. which one should i take to work today???
  15. just saw a thing on modern marvels about biodiesel conversions from a place called lovecraft biodiesel. they got a website, seemed pretty cool. www.lovecraftbiofuels.com
  16. I think all that stems from the rap stars that flocked to them when they came out... seems like the same thing happened when the h2's launched... now everyone is driving old hoopties with ginormous rims... why? they see it on mtv and bet. "how much you got in that ride?" "$15,000" "Sh$t" "yeah he wouldnt any less than $2,000 for the caprice"
  17. candle
  18. well its not much but i like the isolationism idea that was prevalent in the early and middle part of last century. you know the whole mind your own business stuff and not truble trouble til trouble troubles you. i hate how we end up baby sitting the world and then everyone hates us because we are the global police. a 3rd world country gets recognized officially and then 3 yrs later theres a war and we go get involved... i think we have plenty of things here to occupy our time and energy for a good 10 or 15 yrs. secured border as mentioned before is high on my list. but as far as i am really concerned... december 22, 2012 baby... <boom> hehe
  19. true, he did get blamed for stealing a lot of gores votes. jeez, i salute him for that one. i'd hate to see what would have happened to the car hobby gores presidential watch.
  20. Rar! THEY"LL STILL BE UNSAFE AT ANY SPEEEEEEED! hehehe (what a loser)
  21. hmm... me thinks it was bad decision putting 2 holley 500's on the impala recently... at least its a pleasure car though. the colorado gets 18mpg average, luckily its 15 mins to the hospital. i'm gladd i got rid of the 1990 ss 454 when i did. i prolly couldnt get anything for it now.
  22. makes me think of the pontiac fiero and the chevy corvair... i think both vehicles should be revisited although the fiero might inhibit solstice sales. other than the cult followings i dont think there is a huge public out cry though... stupid ralph nader
  23. do you live in SC too hehe?
  24. people in georgia must have it worse than us then, the 1st shift supervisor that works in my department at the hospital says she has been getting gas in sc before she heads home cause its almost 10-15 cents more in GA... it used to be the other way around for a while
