  12. gonna go with sixty8 and hit smack in the middle of the 70's when gas was short and gas hogs were plentiful and cheap... wonder what a 302 crossram z28 would fetch when gas was the highway robbery price of $.50 hehe $40K worth of cars back then sold now would probably have you on a first name basis with craig jackson hehe

  14. article i found on the wall street journal about what chevy, ford, and chrysler plan to do when the forcast is down... http://online.wsj.com/article/SB1205932520...p_us_whats_news "Most auto makers have been forecasting industry sales of 15.5 million to 15.7 million cars and light trucks this year, down from nearly 17 million two years ago. But turmoil on Wall Street has raised concerns that vehicle sales could come in even lower. A new forecast by J.D. Power & Associates earlier this week put industry-wide sales of light-duty cars and trucks this year at 14.95 million, the lowest level since 1994." be sure to watch the video clip to for some "advice" on what they should be doing by two... professionals?
  15. theres a guy that has a sti wrx his reads "sti y try" on of the local dj's in greenville bought his wife a new car and got a plate that read "heluvsme" then remembered he would be driving it some hehe. wanted to get one for my impala that said "got 2 4s" but backed out cause like olds guy said anonymity has its perks... no advertisements in my case. how bout "E. LEGAL"
  16. i can see "things were a lot simpler then". freak the worst thing i could think of was oversleeping on saturday and missing all the good cartoons when i was growing up hehe now there was a really good write up by one of the editors of hemmings muscle machines that generated a lot of letters. the guy was debating why old cars were in suck hot demand by the baby boomers. is it nostalgia? are they better in some way than cars now? how? creature comforts? A/C? the older cars are certainly something you can back out of the garage and work on. when you pop the hood people around are like sweet... pop a late model hood and be eveloped by the shiny plastic... thingy... oddly enough a 50 something guy wrote in bashing the people his age for "hocking their money" on the old relics when newer cars (like his sts-v) were some much better on fuel and performance and comforts. i just turned 26 but my pride and joy is 13 years older than me. there is no car i would give my 69 impala up for. can that be called nostalgic even though i wasnt even thought of when the car was new? i guess so, i grew up in the back seat of the car until it was parked in 88. thats my input.
  17. good to hear, was begining to think i was losing my mind.
  18. is it really that costly? i thought it would be a breeze with all the two tone silverados and sierras running all over the place about 4 yrs ago

  22. mmmm wildcat.... my great aunt had a 64 super wildcat 4sp red and white... what a car. i still got the original dual 4 barrel intake carbs with the breather at the house... that was a beast of a car. would make a nice limited run performance buick.
