  1. just a small snippet i saw in my motor trend yesterday about lexus' "new" hybrid that will debut at 09 auto show from motor trends website: Toyota will present two dedicated hybrid models at the 2009 North American International Auto Show in Detroit; one a Toyota and the other a Lexus. It's no surprise the Toyota will be the Mark III Prius. It's the Lexus that will be the shocker: a lifestyle wagonlike vehicle based on the Prius platform and drivetrain. Meanwhile, the Toyota A-BAT is just a concept for now, but the truck is being evaluated as a potential addition to extend the architecture and powertrain plans for the next-generation Prius platform. http://www.motortrend.com/future/future_ve...e_lexus_hybrid/ just put an L on it i guess
  2. i heard someone saying that there were certain games the slimline had trouble playing but i think thats just rumors.
  3. toesuf94 sorry typing interupted and thought processes didnt connect when i picked back up
  4. body
  5. my friend brace yourself... it sounds like you may have the dreaded disc read error starting up on your ps2. the reader just may need fine tuning, it cant focus to the disk. you can kinda fix it for the short term. i had the same prob with mine, i had midnight club 3 and midnight club 3 remix came out so i bought it. both the same games except remix had 10 or so more cars. my ps2 would play one but not the other, then vice versa. http://www.metacafe.com/watch/302048/fixin...sk_read_errors/ heres a video of how to do it.
  6. were you lookin for the 62 chevy toes posted about? i was lookin for it myself but i cant begin to navigate that crappy place.
  7. make matters worse i got a friend who works with a guy, 77 camaro for sale. princley sum of 1 grand, runs has a 305. said he might take as little as 600 for it. its a good thing the 77 has those ooogly front bumpers, if it was a 78-81 i'd be on that deal.
  8. thanks for that info i looked up some pics cause i was watching the video from audioslaves show me how to live and thats when i decided to put it in there, the quote is what the dj says of course. I got vanishing point and dirty mary crazy larry for Christmas this year from my dad. bullet is next to complete the car chase trilogy. as for farting, theres a station from my area that had a guy on one morning that could fart on command, he did fart songs out. hilarious.
  9. my cousin had a 2002 civic, she backed into my 69 impala corner of her rear bumper to corner of my rear bumper... total anialation. rubber was no match for my steel hehe i just scraped off the green paint and she just... well got a new rear bumper. she got rearended later on in the car and the frame broke, insurance company wanted to weld it back together instead of totaling it but my aunt wouldnt have anything to do with that plan.
  10. listing in the local classified ad for a 1986 el camino choo choo and a 1989 iroc camaro, first $5000 takes em both. interestingly enough its good to see the prices on cars coming back down. watching barrett jackson in pebble beach i saw several good cars go fo good money. 1970 ss 454 monte carlo in astro blue with a black vinyl top for $20K several good cruisers could be had for under 20 on the first days. in fact an old cutlass went for 8500 with only 3500 miles on it. black with a tan top. tan interior. http://www.barrett-jackson.com/application...h/w_search.aspx
  11. have to admit though i like the ad slogan... but thats really all
  12. yeah, its where all the people who have nothing better to do sit and argue irrelavently with people they dont know. isnt the internet great?
  13. all chevrolet in my house, except for my grandpas buick century we got when he passed away. currently theres a 2001 blazer, 98 s10, 94 z28, and a 2004 silverado Z85, then my 04 colorado and 69 impala. last non chevy before the buick was an 81 sunbird. we tend to stay in the generals army.
  14. what that is? i got a bloodhound gang cd and one of the songs is about a bumper sticker on a subaru in a wawa parking lot, continues to say do you even know what a wawa is
  15. it probably doesnt go far to say some people may look down upon it for being labeled a muscle car in times like these with gas prices and all because of what muscle cars historically are perceived as... you know how the eco squad went nuts on the hummer dealerships and all... Muscle car has almost lost its meaning the way it gets slapped on everything. it may just be time to retire that and come up with something new. what that term would be i have no idea, thats GM's PR departments job, thats what they get paid for... supposedly. even pony car seems a tad bit dated no?

    Ragin'

studies have shown that a person constantly exposed to something may react to it less and less over time... obviously she is used to being in that situation a lot so it doesnt phase her... still gonna be funny when she does it to a 3500 hd and dont time it right.
  17. speaking of crazy guns and not to hijack the thread but there was a sweet gun on tv the other night on outdoor life called the taurus judge, shoots 45 long colt and .410 shot shells. http://www.taurususa.com/video/taurus-theJudge-video.cfm saw it on personal defense tv. there was also a sweet new sniper setup on future weapons from chey tac http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vvvuxhD3z5E can hit targets at 2530 yards.
  18. friend sent me a link to that at jalopnick, how does or is that supposed to work.
  19. i love to read the posts of people with the low member numbers and relatively low post numbers... its refreshing because usually, what they say means something instead of just saying something to be heard... actually... i guess i'm... just saying something... to be heard... carry on.
  20. i must not have had mine as loud as yours cause i didnt he same thing but my limit is the 21khz
  21. they got all kinds of fun stuff like that at knob creek in kentucky. should check that out
  22. hmm.... $1?
  23. some of my first words were probably nascar related cuase it was waht was on the tv every weekend. watching the races on espn classics makes me wonder where the sport has gone in the past 5 years. instead of catering to the fan base its one giant commercial. advertising and marketing has replaced the values of the sport. jimmy bob and joe bob cant go because the tickets are too high or the track that once was home to 2 or 3 races is either down to one or even overlooked now to go out west. several key tracks from just 10 years ago are distant memories for some fans, id even go so far to say that some probably dont know where north wilkesburo is. all in the name of the almighty dollar. i havent seen a single race this year... quite frankly i could go so far as to say i could care less. they have taken the race clear out of the competition because instead of going out there and tuning the cars themselves they cry to the powers that be that they are at a disadvantage. Now we have the car of tomorrow... nascars fate is sealed. its doing good now mind you but give it 5 or 10 years. i remeber seeing races with only 3 cars on the lead lap. i remember superspeedways without restrictor plates. i remember seeing oldsmobiles on the track beside pontiacs. you cant bump and bang on the guy beside you are the guy blocking you because thats rough driving. thank you nascar, thank you for making the "sport" just a bunch of cars going around in circles. by the way when was the last time they actually took a car off the lot and made it into a race car anyway.
  24. pos is a term that can be applied to anything... not just chinese japanese whatever. we had a McCulloch chainsaw it wouldnt reliably start to save its life... its a POS made in mexico, its replacement? a Husqvarna that is most deffinately not a pos it starts everytime and now has 6 years under its belt. me and a buddy are constantly hacking at each others rides. hes a ford guy im chevy... ford is POS ot me, Chevy is POS to him. it boils down to opinions are like buttholes, everyones got one and half of them stink. even with a gun pointed at someone you rarely if ever will change someones point of view.
