  2. prolly wont be in the next few years, just burned out on pollyticks and ready for a change of scenery i guess.
  3. so now that all this hullabaloo is over, does that mean C&G's is going back to automotive mode?
  4. sort of along the lines of the "thats a saturn?" commercials i have been showing anyone with interest in a new vehicle everything that is GM. the #1 response to the bu and G8 is wow thats a chevy or thats a pontiac. reminds me of the have you driven a ford lately tune from the 90's. people have overlooked them for so long they just chunk the though out without even glancing at the lots.
  5. 2.08 in anderson, sc
  6. it couldnt be over soon enough for me. sick and tired of approved messages and junk mail. the last 2 times i voted only took 35-40 min. this time around was a different story. 20 min wait just to sign in to vote, another hour and 45 mins waiting to get to the polls.
  7. finally... that had to be one of the dumbest limitations i could think of about the camaro... now for that pesky ls9 option.....
  8. had i their pay you better believe that cts-v would be in my yard. no doubt i would have a bidder's pass every january in arizona to boot. so obama has everyman cars... okay good but vehicles usually reflect income. one of my radiologist bought 2 mercedes because he couldnt decide on whether he liked black or white better. he also has a porsche cayenne or however you spell it. if you make the money buy wat you want. labeling someone because of their vehicle or how many they have? as baseless as the kill toyo drivers thread. i'm not gunning after you satty i dont think we have ever crossed paths on here so dont think i am singling you out i just cant fathom the logic on that one.
  9. not really. my gf drives a 96 toyota corolla. i rag her all the time for it. told her if things work out for us she will be replacing that turd with a new bu or G8 hehe
  10. We got: 2004 Z85 silverado (dad) 2004 LS colorado (mine) 2001 s-10 blazer LT (mom) 1998 s-10 LS (sister) 1996 Buick century (back up) 1994 Z28 (dad) 1969 Impala (mine) possibly a 1968 SS chevelle in the future (dad) sounds kinda common to me.... but that may just be me....
  11. lets hope they do better than last time if they decide to do that hehe 77 and 78 was not kind to the smaller more efficient mustangs
  12. i just wish the v spec would hurry up and get here so they could throw that and the ZR1 together... all the people screaming just wait the v spec is faster and better... its gonna be close.
  13. It's already hot at 11 a.m. as we pull our 2009 Nissan GT-R into the visitor's parking lot at GM's proving grounds in Arizona. The Japanese supercar looks like a spaceship next to the aging, 1960s-era brick buildings that front the massive desert test facility on the outskirts of Phoenix. Although the few GM employees who see the GT-R barely pay it any attention, we suspect they know why it's here. Somewhere deep inside this test facility there's a 2009 Chevrolet Corvette ZR1 getting prepped for a comparison test, and now the competition has arrived. We make a few calls and sign a few release forms before a Cyber Gray ZR1 emerges from the main gate and pulls up next to the GT-R. The driver gets out, hands us the keys and gives a friendly warning, "Go fast carefully." From here on out, it's the King Kong of Corvettes versus the Godzilla of Japan. We'll drive both cars more than 300 miles back to Los Angeles before putting them on a dyno, running our customary round of instrumented tests and wrapping it all up with hot laps on the road course at Streets of Willow. http://www.edmunds.com/insideline/do/Drive...rticleId=134467 video after the jump.
  14. yup my aunt has driven hondas as long as i can remember, the first being an mid 80's prelude. she has since that car gotten a new accord about every 4 years. why did she change? 74 chevelle left a bad impression. her bank supplied her with a company car. 2007 buick lucerne. i'd take it hands down over her accord but she doesnt like it. the main complaint? its too big for her.
  15. +1 there were only 3 ashleys in my whole school when i was there out of 900 people. me and then the 2 girls.
  16. are you selling those things? i seem to recall you mentioning those in another thread somewhere
  17. because they wanted the pedigree and had the expendable cash. face it if everyone had the money and didnt need those two spots in the back they prolly would have gotten the vette, but camaro is a poor man's vet... and a family mans vette for that matter.
  18. 2.39 lowest at my house, average is 2.49
  19. when i still had my 1990. (walk into advanced auto) him:yes sir how can i help you? me: i need a fan belt for a 1990 ss 454 1500 regular cab with air. him: 4x2 or 4x4? me: um.. 2wd... him: ah 4x2... is that a v6 or a v8? i didnt know if i should laugh at him kick his mommy daddy button so he couldnt reproduce or just quickly walk away and say nothing. how hard is it to screw something like that up when you have a computer to look for stuff. but i mean wow a 454 v6? i'd like to see that hehehe.... dweeb.
  20. iron duke tribute car!!! hehehe

  22. clint eastwood (preacher from pale rider)
  23. i dated girls younger than me cause i thought thats how it worked. well then i tried dating girls older than me cause i figured maybe they new what they wanted in life instead of changing into a completely different person when they off to college. in both causes i have found age is a number its the person that makes the difference... except when it comes to that whole statue thing hehe... dont cross that line.
  24. you mean like toyota is doing too? i dont think this is a Big 3 thing, i think all are suffereing with this slump just some are going to survive the atrition longer
