yeap, another example is C.A.R.S. turnkey camaros and the yenko continuation camaros.i would imagin the dynacorn bodies have a lot to do with this, for better or worse. for $140,000 i think i would try and track down the real deal... (i know thats a low value for them but this isnt B-J 2005) or build one myself. -
the dr.'s kids had new cars. one of my buddy's older brother had a 5.0 mustang coupe. that was the baddest car in the parking lot at the time. no one messed with it. a guy a grade ahead of me got a 69 ss camaro for his birthday his senior year. red on black automatic. took car of it... for about a month. by the time he graduated 6 months later he had hit a group of trash cans and messed up a fender, and also shut the garage door on the hood cause the idiot didnt realize he was too far forward. after that tool left it was between me and an underclassman buddy of mine for the coolest car. my 69 impala or 1990 ss454 and his 1970 buick GS. it had a 350 but the oil pump seized and cooked the motor. swapped in a 455 .60 and that thing was a beast. there was also a 69 opel GT and an indy 500 3rd gen camaro.

B4C is Chevrolet's Special Equipment Options (SEO) code for a "Special Service" police package Camaro. The B4C package has heavier-duty (HD) features over a non-police vehicle as well as some options specific to the installation of police equipment. The Chevrolet Camaro B4C option has been available since 1991 when it was introduced. Some other Chevrolet vehicle models are designated by another SEO code, known as 9C1 for the Caprice, Tahoe, and Nova Police vehicles. HD features include oversized front and rear sway bars; high-output alternator; larger (in years after 1991) four-wheel disc brakes; separate engine, power steering and transmission oil coolers; certified 145 MPH speedometer. Most of the heavier duty option parts come from a combination of parts from both the regular Z28 and the racing and handling package of the special 1LE option list. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/B4C GMMG is along the lines of SLP. its a performance company. they were responsible for the 69 2001 super camaros in honor of fred gibbs. -

and relatively low miles for the model year. i frequently see b4c's with less than 100K miles for sale. seems like a lot but considering most people crap 50K miles on a vehicle in 2-3 yrs it is pretty good. -

dunno, doesnt say. says that they drove a while to make sure that it landed in central MA and consulted wisconsin U's weather balloon trajectory site to figure a rough estimate.

very true. job applications, moving, just about any kind of form filled out. he will be required to announce it. people dont see the situation, they just see the phrase "sex offender" and freak out.

that gy-normous red thing pictured below this was my daily driver throughout high school. lets see. it was/is cold in the winter, hot in the summer. lots of wind and cabin noise. irritable at times, runs on 92 or higher, puny brakes...

unfortunately, the second thing most people these days look for after fuel economy is crash ratings. a car maker isnt out to set themselves up for another exploder/firestone scenario... well... except for toyota's new problem thats come to light. I am sure that if GM could bury the statistics on the fatalities in 2dr s10 blazers, you'd never here a peep about it again. no one wants the reputation of an unsafe vehicle. VW was practically whoring this fact out a yr ago. after all everyone remembers the Pinto fiasco as well.

on somethin other than prostitutes or drugs... check out the boys at MIT are up to this time. The cheapest space camera available to the public. The two students (from MIT, of course) put together a low-budget rig to fly a camera high enough to photograph the curvature of the Earth. Instead of rockets, boosters and expensive control systems, they filled a weather balloon with helium and hung a styrofoam beer cooler underneath to carry a cheap Canon A470 compact camera. Instant hand warmers kept things from freezing up and made sure the batteries stayed warm enough to work. Of course, all this would be pointless if the guys couldn’t find the rig when it landed, so they dropped a prepaid GPS-equipped cellphone inside the box for tracking. Total cost, including duct tape? $148. The balloon and camera made it up high enough to see the black sky curling around our blue planet. The Canon was hacked with the CHDK (Canon Hacker’s Development Kit) open-source firmware, which adds many features to Canon’s cameras. The intervalometer (interval timer) was set to shoot a picture every five seconds, and the 8-GB memory card was enough to hold pictures for the five-hour duration of the flight. The picture you see above was shot from around 93,000 feet, just shy of 18 miles high. To give you an idea of how high that is, when the balloon burst, the beer-cooler took 40 minutes to come back to Earth. What is most astonishing about this launch, named Project Icarus, is that anyone could do it. The budget is so small as to be almost nonexistent (the guys slept in their car the night before the launch to save money), so that even if everything went wrong, a second, third or fourth attempt would be easy. All it took was a grand idea and an afternoon poking around the hardware store.

no point was missed, but verbal warning is now pointed out as well

sure, by all means put hot on the cup, why it wasnt on there is beyond me. up until that point though people understood the coffee was hot. i'm not going to steer the thread off course anymore, im just saying for what its worth most lawsuits that fall into that category are routinely the"victims" fault and they dont want to pony up and take responsibility, then some (not all, i know many good lawyers with the best intentions) smell money and run with it like the "i ate McD's all my life now im fat". what ties this together is the insationable sense of "but its not my fault because _______". this is my generation that seems so unabashed by sheer selfishness that they cannot be at fault because of circumstances out of their hands.

Learn something? like in physical science when they teach you that a state of matter is hotter than another state of matter you see the difference in how the air around it behaves i.e. steam? soup is hot like coffee is hot. steam tells me that hey this is hotter than its surroundings. it only takes once (sometimes more for others) to realize that if something looks hot it possibly is. i didnt ask my parents to sue GM growing up because there wasnt a label on my dads 77 corvette saying "caution seats may be hot if left in direct sunlight". On the other hand, McDonalds being fed up with people complaining about the coffee being cold may have aimed for higher temps to give themselves a buffer zone so complaints would be fewer. my 7th grade history teacher drank hot (i cant believe it has to be differentiated) coffee year round from a thermos. so hot that at 2 in the afternoon you could see it steaming from the back of the class. did they have to make it that hot? no they could have sent it out the door at 120 F and been fine but the fact that someone has to be told "hey dont spill this coffee on yourself cause its hot" is absurd. common sense is the absolute least common thing to be found on this planet right now, much less this country and the law books encourage it. 50 yrs ago it you fell down in a public place you got up looked around and made sure no one saw you out of embarassment. now people look around to see if anyone or camera and think how much is this worth. thats the downfall of it. thank you...
