  1. well on the sidebar on facebook today i noticed that the moody blues will be in asheville march 21,2010... i think i will have to look into this depending on how much the asheville civic center thinks of their seats... http://www.ticketmaster.com/event/0E0043797DD6693C?artistid=735686&majorcatid=10001&minorcatid=1

  4. A- for me
  5. indeed sir, the syclone or typhoons were nothing to sneeze at. interestingly enough the spelling of syclone came about becuase ford still had cyclone and wouldnt give it up. now i did have the 90 ss454 which had the th400 with a 3.73 rear end. in 91 they ponied up and slid the 700r4 in it but the knucle heads changed the rear to a 4.10... the 1990 had 230hp and by 93 the last year which is most coveted, especially the white ones, had 245 or 265hp. if it hadnt been for gas i would have kept mine. we got it from a family friend for 10000 with 36000 miles on the clock. on trucks they did a build up comparo with a 1990 454 and a 94 lighting. when they did the heads and headers and a few more things to the ss they had it up to 405hp and that was a mild build up.
  6. thanks, hehe i scored it by accident looking around on photobucket.
  7. fast? now hehe not by a long shot. a certain 91 gmc whichever model you choose, would take that turdras lunch and have its way with his mama. now a better would have been if i still had my 90 SS454. 230hp but stumpbusting 400ft/lbs of torque.
  8. so on the way to work today i came up to a stop light. a black jacked up trd doublecab v8 tundra is beside me. now of course i was unfortunatley in the colorado instead of the impala but the dude rolls on me. then he rolls again. well, unabated i took his offer. tis a sad thing to see when a "380 hp" v8 doesnt start pulling away from the I5 colorado until halfway through 2nd gear... he was interested in turning at the next light which i was turning well before otherwise i would have stayed in a little longer, but i made sure to give him the big ole thumbs down shaking head before turning. you would thing that mom and dad would have bought a better truck to send jr off to college in...
  9. behold the power of peer pressure...
  10. well yes, there are "hazzards" of the job too heheheh
  11. not just nurses. nursing students, respiratory techs, lab techs, surgery techs, secretaries, there are a lot of categories heheh p.s. doctors and interns too...
  12. i work at a hospital... nuff said.
  13. ...right... cause its much more economical to ship whole cars that could say, be lost at sea or maybe damaged in transit than to ship the components over here and then assemble them. you think they would be interesting in my ocean front arizona ranch house?
  14. no prob guys. the bitter cold usually doesnt bother me too bad as long as theres a fire which there was. i'll be investing in one of those sleeping mats though. the other guys had the mats, but i was the only one that had a camp pillow . i was gone from the hospital for the whole week last week booyah, and it seems my problem is fixed, the nazi setting has been repealed from surfwatch so C&G is no longer off limits huzzah!! there is a nice place in GA that you would like too Camino, its called lake Tugalo (or tugaloo or bull sluice by the older folks). there was a dam built there in 1917 to provide athens ga hydro power. super strict regulations on the lake. no boat motors above 25hp and the whole lake is chock full of primitive camp sites. http://www.trails.com/tcatalog_trail.aspx?trailid=XFA050-037 http://georgiainfo.galileo.usg.edu/tugalolake.htm http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lake_Tugalo i went there with a buddy and stayed a week in may. saw 3 other people camping. thats it. course once again it was cold but still.
  15. was going to say you might could duplicolor the whole car and still come out cheaper than that.
  16. ive been rather quiet lately here on C&G, mainly because they ramped up surf watch at work so there are only 3 sites we can hit up on downtime. none of which i am entertained by in the least bit. this past weekend however 3 friends and i went on a 2 day backpacking excursion through the grand canyon of the east, Linville Gorge. started out friday around 10 from the trail head and worked our way day via conely cove trail and met up with the linville gorge trail from there. it was a great interesting hike to say the least. temps friday were nuts, barely topped 45, was to drop to the high 20's low 30's that night with winds of 25-35 and 45 mph gusts (luckily we were in the gorge somewhat sheltered). saturday's weather was much more accommodating at around 50-55. all told we did around 10 miles, the trail only being 8 or so but it is amazingly unblazed so there are a lot of side trails leading to campsites to get sidetracked on. it was a great trip, i wouldnt mind doing it again, just might make it a 3 day trip instead of 2. here are some pics, enjoy. sorry for the big pics for those with slow connections.
  17. This car is candy coated with a electric metallic lime green color which you will not find nowhere else. something else he thinks you cant find anywhere else... grammar.
