  1. There were NO 2010 LaCrosses at the B(O)(P) dealership...and it was a fairly large store. >dealer told me that they are already being shipped, and should be in dealers within the next 2 weeks! There were NO 2010 Tauruses at the Ford dealership...and it was a very large store. >sometime in the next month There were NO base Camaros (within the visible part of the lot) at the Chevy dealership...and it was a very large store. >depends on the store...all 3 of my local Chevy stores recieved their first Camaros on July 29th...and I live about 1 hour from Oshawa
  2. YouTube user, and Indy Ram owner klasstruckit61 informs me that this truck was owned by a guy named Cliff. He appearantly had a whole collection of Mopars and used to go to shows all the time.
  3. The radio is now more inline with the Achievas fancier predecessor, the Calais: Complete radio knobs...classy: Door emblems: New rear ashtray: Spray painting the kickplates (it went pretty well, and looks alright. Shiny!): Now, gotta wait for it to dry and see how it looks on the car!
  4. Yeah, I figured as much. Its actually very clean. I bet i could just polish it up actually.
  5. Just got cought up on your thread. Congrats on finding the shifter. It looks amazing. Love what you are doing! Much, much more advanced than my mods lol.
  6. I don't have it infront of me, but its a tall can of spray paint, that is appearantly chrome colored. It was $9 at WalMart. If it doesn't work, I can always get more kickplates and experiment. I wonder if I could use it to paint the engine cover?
  7. Project Achieva update: The leak, whatever it was, has stopped. I had an oil channge done, and the bottom of the transmission is clean, no signs of leakage. All the oil was accounted for also. I was up in Stayner Ontario again, and went back to the scrap yard for some more pickins'. It seems that I forgot the "front/rear/right/left" knobs (that go under the main radio knobs) the first time around. Luckily, the poor Cavalier was still there, so I got them. Also got the kick plates and rear ashtray from a 1996 Buick Skylark. The ashtray replaces the black one I have now (already installed, and looks great), while the kickplates will be painted chrome :AH-HA_wink: (to be done tonight). I also got the HVAC knobs, but they don't really work in the pre-96 dash. May play with them in the 95 Lumina. The Oldsmobile script is from a G-body Cutlass coupe front bumper. The Olds rocket emblems are from the rear clip of a late 70's full size Olds (forgot what exactly). They are now installed on my front inside door panels (ala 60's Oldsmobiles). It also had some amazing interior trim, but was infested with bees! I woulda braved it, but I decided it was too nice to pilage (and risk getting stung). The RAM badge will make a nice keychain for a friend with a '97 Ram short cab/long bed . Pre-clean-up pic: I mainly want to add some brightwork to the Achieva interior. Something Oldsmobiles in the past always had. The buttons/lighter and ashtray make a big difference, and I hope the kickplates come out looking ok. Being a purist, I am keeping all the stock bits. Everything I am doing can be reversed.
  8. While visiting Stayner, Ontario, I happened on this gem. It is a really rare, and extremely low milage 1996 Dodge Ram Indianapolis 500. An elderly gentleman owned it since new, then passed away leaving it for his kids, and then it found its way to a dealer in Stayner. It is kept in a climate controled garage! 18,827 Kilometers (11,698 Miles!!!) and perfect condition. Looks like it just came from the factory!!! They want $17,000 for it. From info I found on the net, approximately 2802 Indy Rams were built! VIDEO: PICS:
  9. Camino, look a this!!!
  10. My car is there, in the middle of the pic lol... 68, look at this! IT RUNS!!!! I have video to prove it! So sexy: My local Camaro Club, CCFBG:
  11. I had the pleasire of attending the 11th annual GM Powertrain St. Catharines Auto Show on Friday. Its an all GM show held at the plant where the L-series engines are built! I got there very late, but managed to get a bunch of pictures. Enjoy! VIDEO: Me walking the grounds, checking out some of the fine machines! Some of the cars leaving the show, and a crazy Chevrolet Beretta. A working, unrestored 1936 McLaughlin Buick! The cars of Camaro Country F-Body Group (CCFBG). 12. Yes, thats the thread. Just awesome work dude! I love projects like this! Creative use of OEM GM-sourced parts. Big thumbs up!
  13. I know exactly what you mean, because my Achieva has that 3-screw visor. I would assume all N, L, and J bodies have it. It would seem plausible that the SC might have the same design. While googling to find you an answer, I stumbled upon your thread at www.sixthsphere.com Seems you already have a bunch of cool mods! I can't believe you re-did your whole interior!!!
  14. Why underwhelmed?
  15. A slight repost, but yeah...just awefull stuff.
  16. The wholesale murder of (in most cases I have seen) working cars, whose biggest flaw is their MPG. Some very dark events these last few days. That Cadillac spray painted gets me very mad.
  17. If they could at least save the Solstice Targa...
  18. Wilmington is closed, and all Kappas have ended production. All future Kappas are cancelled. Sorry.
  19. Heres a really horrible one:
  20. 1996 Roadmaster wagon on its last day: 1988 Jeep Cherokee being killed, and fighting to stay alive: 1992 Caprice Wagon's final burnout: ...and untimely death: 2001 Jeep Grand Cherokee killed:
  21. Horrible to watch those videos. If it were my job to kill engines, I would quit.
  22. You do not have permission to view the images in this category. Do you mean shoehorning in these headlights? I have never really heard of this mod untill now. EDIT: oooh, I get it now...like this:
  23. ? Explain.
  24. And I, for one, welcome our new oldsmoboi overlord! The New C&G is here! Looking forward to the next 100 years!
