  1. Check the Calendar.
  2. Some fighter pilot geek will buy it, no doubt... ^_^
  3. All that sounds like a proper plan. Should be a good year for Buick in 06. Looking forward to Lambda.
  4. With Lucerne headlights (other pics for comparison):
  5. Heres a quick chop: Guestimated the bumper.
  6. Dont try this at home kids!
  7. Even the front is a bit Caddillac-ish. Check out the way the headlights meet the foglights. Maybe I am stretching on that one though. :)
  8. The critics have spoken!: THE NEW CAMRY! "...grille looks almost Mazda-ish" -proclaims moltar "...still yet again the most boring sedan on the road" -says turbo200 "GM and Ford have nothing to worry about...this new Camry looks like a frumpier, mini-me Avalon" -writes mustang84 lol :)
  9. It was called "Concept Cure". http://www.autoworld.com/news/Chevrolet/Concept_Cure.htm
  10. Check out this amazing new commercial for Opel called "Opel Ode"! http://velocityfilms.whip.co.za/whip_veloc...el%20Ode%20.mov (it may take a minute to download, but its worth it!)
  11. Clockwise: Holden Statesman, Chevrolet Optra5, Chevrolet Malibu Maxx, Opel Tigra.
  12. I will be driving the new R-Class next Sunday (hopefully), but this review makes it sound horrid. Its one of those cars nobody asked for. 15 MPG is really bad! :o A range topping Chrysler Pacifica Touring Signature Series ($33,685) gets a combined 19 MPG.
  13. Your thinking of that other GM messageboard. :CG_all:
  14. Sort of. It changed to Saturn Renaissance when Olds was dropped I believe.
  15. Got as in bought?
  16. Thats what I thought, but all the Soltices had the DRL lamps. A dealer near me just got one in Saturday, and it has the split lamps. Actually, I was just driving home a few minutes ago, and what do I see? That very same car with a plate. Bought already!? I was at the lot looking at it merely 3 days ago. ^_^
  17. I was at the factory yesterday in Oshawa. There are thousands of 06 Monte Carlos built already! They are being shipped out now, so they should start appearing in the next few weeks! They look pretty good in person. If you look quick at the front, you may mistaken it for an Impala though!
  18. I traveled to Oshawa, Ontario yesterday with Polish Kris. We cruised around the W body facilities and GM Canada Headquarters. The place is massive. There are overflow lots filled with Impalas and Monte Carlos as far as the eye can see. The trains pull up, and the cars are loaded for shipping. At one corner, we saw GM employees drive a virtual parade of Impala SS' fresh from the factory, straight to the shipping yard. They floored them pretty good too. We spotted some interesting stuff. There appears to be a running change to the Pontiac Solstice. The split foglights are gone, replaced by turn signal units as seen on the Grand Prix GXP. No big deal as they are shared components. We spotted at least 20 Solstices all over the place, mostly dark green and a few red and dark silver. Sweet cars. We pulled into an employee parking lot that had any and every 06 Gm you could imagine. We parked beside a blue Zo6 Corvette, got out and spotted several STS's, a DTS, new VUE's, Pursuit coupes, Cobalt SS Supercharged, GP GXP, HHR etc etc etc! Then, we spotted some really cool stuff. In one storage yard, there appeared to be the original 1999 Chevy Silverado concept truck! This one: In the same yard, were several smashed cars, one being a brand new STS (sad). There were two Chevy Equinox early build mules. They were unpainted (white), with blacked out badges and exposed tailights. We didnt have a camera, but Kris promised to take some pictures today. I hope he does. All in all, it was a pretty cool trip. No Lucernes unfortunately.
  19. Vince is more honest nowadays. He states clearly when something is a real picture, and when something is an illustration. He runs a good blog actually.

  21. I "clayed" a 5th Gen concept in 2000. Hurry up GM!
  22. Testi Testi...
  23. ashinyobject: Thats it! Thats the car! :o Its been so long since Iv seen it. This concept had a huge impact on me when I was young. I too was dissapointed with the final product though.
  24. :alcoholic: :puke:
  25. In around 1993 or 1994, Chevrolet had a Monte Carlo concept car. It was rounded looking, and foretold the styling of the Gen 2 Lumina/Monte. I have searched all over the net, and can't find a shred of info. Its driving me nuts. The last time I saw it was 10 years ago. Can anyone shed some light on this matter? PS As a bonus, there was a Lumina based El Camino concept around the same time. Anyone know anything?
