  1. Watching it now. Its pretty good so far! Highlight: Big GM retrospective, including mention of GM's involvement in the first artificial heart. Tim Allen says GM built crap in the late 70's early 80's.
  2. Good news for those interested. I found a back up CD from July 18, 2006! It contains tons and tons of C&G and GM related stuff, including the pre-Lutz STS, G6, some rare pics etc etc! Here is the real G6 we were supposed to get! And something I made for C&G in '06: Pre-Lutz STS! and something I made for C&G: I will post up some more interesting stuff I find later (after 20/20's GM expose lol). Its a good thing Im a digital pack-rat (as well as in real life!).
  3. I kinda like the aggressiveness of the Pre-Lutz stuff. Here is a photochop I did in 2004 (I think), that shows more or less the pre-Lutz GP.
  4. I have all the pre-Lutz images..... ...on my corrupt old hardrive EDIT: the G6 was to look like this: There were more developmental images (as above) even included in the actual post-Lutz G6 brochure. We had actual pictures of the full scale model, that looked almost exactly like this rendering!
  5. Iv skimmed this thread, and just wanted to throw it out there that the Regal is comming very soon. If you watch the Buick LaCrosse E-vent, they show an extended version of the new campaign and commercial, which shows the Regal! go to 2:56-3:57 for the commercial Regal can be seen at 3:20, 3:28-3:31
  6. http://abcnews.go.com/2020/ Fridays at 10 p.m. ET
  7. Its like the Intrepid rejected the donor heart! I really feel for you, 'cause you know I had simular circumstances with my poor Achieva. Oil+coolant = satans sludge. Im hoping that the engine can be saved...and the radiator thrown to the depths of hell.
  8. On an unrelated note, if you type in 1995 oldsmobile achieva in google, you get a pic of my car!
  9. It looks like the leak is at the very front of the motor. Passengers side link is lose
  10. So much variety in the 80's.
  11. I like that generation J-hatchbacks! Check this out! Buick Turbo Hawk J-coupe model that never went into production: Olds Mirage J-coupe model that never went into production:
  12. If anyone is interested, here is a list of other events planned for the Greater Toronto Area!
  13. The CX was the car at the mall. And yes, I did sit inside that one. The seats were soft. ->
  14. Here are some new videos (from GM) from June 22. 2010 Buick LaCrosse eVent A must-watch for LaCrosse fans. New driving footage, and no exhaust ports.
  15. All the press photos show the exhaust cuttouts, but every Allure I have seen did not have them. Im not too sure whats going on. The one shown at the Quebec autoshow in January, a CXL, did not have them either. I had to go back and look through my pics... Neither did the one in Toronto in February: Cost cutting? Oh yeah, BTW...the Allure has amber rear turn signals. They are amber bulbs in white lenses by the reverse lamps. Did not know that. Thought it was interesting in light of the recent NHTSA proposal.
  16. Honest to goodness wheelcovers! This was a CX model. The first time I have seen wheelcovers on an Allure. http://www.egmcartech.com/2009/04/29/2010-...-for-canada-eh/ Thats alot of money for hubcaps.
  17. I'v yet to sit in a 2010 Taurus, so I can't compare. The whole upper dash is cut and sew, and soft to the touch (see the vid where I press down on the dash). Lower areas are plastic, bit its of good quality from my brief experience. Nothing like, say, a Cobalt.
  18. High and narrow would be my verdict too. The details are cool, but only when viewed from certain angles. For instance, the front of the car looks menacing and sleek when seen from above: ...but rather bloated and plain from a lower angle: From the side, and maybe because of the relatively short front overhang, it looks rather fat. The beltline is essentially the sweepspear. The body to greenhouse proportions are very skewed. The body appears very massive compared to the upper area.: My favorite angle is a lower 3/4 shot from behind. Its such a shame that the exhaust outlets have been deleted. They would have broken up some of that rather plain bumper: I get what the designers were going for. A fat-cat big Buick. And if you follow that logic, they succeeded.
  19. Video added...see up top.
  20. Saw the new 2010 CTS Sport Wagon in person for the first time today. It was on display as part of a GM Canada mall tour. I only took a few pics. Watch the video to get a better feel for the car! VIDEO: PICS:
  21. not even true I sat in it just a few minutes ago! GM has a mall tour, and was at Sherway Gardens (big local mall) today. No test drive event, but they had a (base?) silver Allure, red CTS wagon (!!!) and a Traverse. They were just wrapping up, and the cars were locked, but the rep let me take a peek. He said the CTS wagon was being shown for the first time in Toronto, and before 3 days ago, he had never seen one in person. INTERIOR VIDEO: ALLURE AND CTS WAGON VIDEO: Interior is soft touch and very well put together! PICS:
  22. Lots of practice! GM Design full circle!:
  23. Thanks! Its interesting to note they chose to do hidden exhaust instead of the cool chrome ports as shown earlier.
  24. GM is having a test drive event at the annual CHIN International Picnic in Toronto. One of the cars featured is the new 2010 Chevrolet Equinox. I checked it out on Friday (the event wasn't open, so there was no one there, and no driving). VIDEO: PICS:
