GP or Maxima. I've had seat time in both, and they both feel vault-like and well-built. Both cars have time-tested mechanicals. I'd give the GP the edge on performance and the Maxima the edge on refinement. I can't give any feedback on the Volvo, but I'm not a fan of the Altima at all. They age about as well as a Hyundai - that is to say not very well.

I would say roughly Exit 64 on the LIE. Pretty much all of the land west of there is spoken for. Once you get east of there, it's somewhat less developed. That's changing fast, though. The entire North Fork is being gobbled up by developers, and farms are disappearing left and right. There's still quite a few places where you could have some fun on a mountain bike. Cathedral Pines, about 3 miles from my house, is probably the best all-around trails on the Island. There's also Rocky Point Preseve and of course the state parks. You have some pretty varied terrain for road biking, too - flat straightaways, curvy hills, and everything in between. I just signed up for the Montauk Century and start training for it this Saturday. To bad it'll only get up to 37 that day.

Whatever you do, don't think about all the things you want to do to your project car. That'll keep you up all night. This is probably an offbeat suggestion, but have you tried bicycling? Most of you know that I cycle a lot. Find a lightly traveled road (or trail, whatever you prefer), and just go. Think about whatever you want while you're doing it - you'll be wearing yourself out the whole time - but in most cases I come back with a clear head.

This smells like a smokescreen. There is such a need for this program that I can't see them not following through with it: Solstice/Sky/GT + associated coupes and sedans Torana G6 replacement gen-6 Camaro add some exotic materials, and you have a nice Y-body replacement, too. Also, setting up a RWD B-series lineup makes a lot of sense for Caddy. The B would be a true 3-series competitor, and allow the C-series to go against the 5. Assuming the DTS replacement takes over for the STS, Caddy could actually have an alphanumeric lineup that makes sense (B, C, D). Give me Jim Taylor's job for a day.

I have pretty much made a lifetime out of this. Sometimes it seems like I go through each period in my life with blinders on, not always enjoying the present and those who are in it, instead focusing on a particular goal or achievement. There's a stadium full of people who have shaped who I am, and they all deserve a big thank you.

Can you draw them all on fire?

Just to show why GM still hasn't figured out alphanumerics yet: This should be a BLW. On second thought, it's probaly better off a BLS Estate, since the BLoW joke kind of writes itself.

NOS, please come up to the chaulkboard and write "I will not rice my Cobalt" 100 times. There's quite a few yellow Cobalts popping up in my town and at work. I'm really taking a shining to that color. She looks great.

I put "very rare". If anything I'll pull it out of my pocket, look at the display to see who called, and if I need to call them back I'll either pull over or put it on speakerphon and put it in the cupholder. Otherwise they can wait until its safe for me to talk.

That inside looks fantastic. There doesn't look to be a mini-Grand Canyon bisecting the dash. It's almost a shame to have to flip this. I wonder if it's feasible to swap the parts car bash, even though it's cracked, for this one and just dye it the color of your choice.

More light at night means I'll be taking the bike to work at least a couple of times a week once I finish tuning it all up. Take that, Big Oil!!!!

Sorry, but if you're gonna throw one down the middle of the plate like that, it's my duty to hit it out of the park.

Nice find! Aside from the R/F door, the body looks in fantastic shape. What are the specs on the drivetrain in this one? Interesting thought - Would that rear bumper fit on a Camino and clear the tailgate hinges?

Volt will likely never be as cost effective as today's hybrids.

The truth is fine, but calling out and taunting someone is not. You know that. Put your fangs away. -
I wouldn't expect Alex or Wolfie. They're probably going to have their hands full with Eddie. I'm sure he's going to need all the support from his family that he can get. Valerie may even be there, for Wolfie's sake.

I guess this confirns what most of us read between the lines. Get well soon, Eddie. You can beat this. As for the not letting Dave perform at the ceremony, that is just stupid yet totally typical. The recording industry is just a joke, a self-serving machine whose only interest is generating revenue for itself. Could it be that VR got tabbed to play for V H because they have an album and tour coming out this year and need to get the hype machine rolling? I like VR, but do not see any connection between them and VH whatsoever. Dream Theater or Motley Crue, two bands who were heavily influenced by VH, would have been much better choices. I would have loved to see Dave, Sam, and Mike borrow someone's drummer, play together, blow the roof off the place, and dedicate the performance to Eddie (I think all three are mature enough to pull that off).

Obviously, I'm pulling for the Isles, but this pisses me off because this is the last thing they need. Ted Nolan pulled a minor miracle in instilling a culture of discipline and hard work on this team, and then this happens. I haven't seen the footage yet, but from the description it does not sound like a premeditated thing, a la the Todd Bertuzzi sucker punch from a couple of years back. He definitely deserves to be punished, but a ban from the game is too harsh

I'll see your quote, and raise you another: from http://www.godandscience.org

I love Nassau blue. It's arguably the best C5 color. Nice going, zhawk. I'd love to be able to follow your lead and have a Corvette for a daily driver and a toy (you can never have too many ), but alas I don't think I'd be able to lug my bike around in one. Also, I gotta love the fact that you got hitched to a female who shares your interest in cars. A rare find in itself.

This is different - it has a strange Mowtown-ish feel to it. Motown rocks!

Here's an offbeat suggestion: if they'll work, how about a set of multi-spoke rims from a CTS? I'm thinking either the gunmetal finish or the chrome finish.
-
I agree with NOS. The Cragars/Torque Thrusts look better than those. However, you may want to try grafting on a set of 94-96 Impala SS wheels

Bob, that was probably the most insightful post I've ever read with your name attached to it Exactly. Christianity has splintered the way it has because (simplified) people felt the church they were attending somewhow strayed from Biblical principles (or, more likely, their interpretation of Biblical principles). In the long run, it really doesn't matter, because your relationship with God through Jesus is paramount. What denomination you end up shows more about your preferred method of worshipping God and thanking Him for all He has done.

I think the displaced U.S. factory workers might disagree with that statement. - People in foreign countries take pride in the products. The U.S. is full of self loathing people who consider anything domestic as "inferior" and anything imported as "exotic". - Foreign governments take measures to ensure the healt hand profitability of their economies. The U.S. puts its own companies through hell and gives breaks to foreign owned companies who wish to sell here. The country is enabling the rich and the poor to squeeze out the middle. Unless you are a manager or a tradesmen, your job will eventually be done outside of U.S. borders. Our government becomes more and more self-serving with each administration, catering only to those who line its pockets. It is only a matter of time before the peasants revolt and a USSR-like collapse is upon us. The first Presidential candidate that states his charge to be strengthening and protecting the American economy gets my vote.
