It's more of an improvement over its predecessor than the current Civic is over its predecessor. That's about as nice as I'm going to get. In both cases the effort required to make the new sheetmetal was hardly worth it.

Put it on Alpha. They already have the SRX on Theta, and Buick has the Encore on Gamma.

And I like that, in making this, that they shied away from the trend of having headlights that go all the way up the fenders. It has a very classic look, but fits right in with the current Chevy showroom. Please make this....now!

I'm going to go out on a limb (very, very far out on a limb) and say that the Tru 140s (the silver one) is a styling exercise for the next Camaro. Don't laugh just yet. Picture it stretched over Alpha and without the front 1/4 glass - it would be an interesting take on a "modern" Camaro. The 130R - yes please!!

I'm not sure what you can afford to shell out at once, but If you can afford to raise that number to, say, $5000-$6500, you can get yourself a perfectly fine used car that won't nickel and dime you to death.Off the top of my head, I can name: 05-07 non SS Cobalt J body (say what you want about them, they're pretty reliable) any early 00s W body with the 3800 1st gen Focus 4.3L S10/Sonoma Silverado/Sierra F-150 Ranger Dakota Ram Taurus/Sable LH Chryslers Even if you have to wait a bit to get that amount, you're better off doing so, and buying it in cash and not having a payment. Lots of flak over an engine that isnt even in production yet. From what I understand, the 2.5 is a ground up redo, not just a punched out 2.4. If it is reasonably powerful and gets good mileage,and it has good NVH characteristics, does it not deserve to be in a Cadillac just because GM offers it in other cars? You could spin it anyway you like: "The 2.5L in the 2013 Malibu is the same engine used in the Cadillac ATS" Oh, and F Mercedes, BMW, Audi, VW, Jaguar, and any other brand that can do no wrong in the eyes of some of the posters in this thread. This is the Cadillac forum, and it's getting tiring having every Cadillac (and Buick) thread become a bitchfest over some perceived, subjective, nebulous metric that somehow proves that GM will never, ever compete with the big European brands, not in eleventybillion years. If you can't offer constructive criticism, feel free to show yourself the door and take your double standards with you.

If you're the kind of person who forgets what trim level your car is whenever you bend down and look between your legs while sitting in the front seats, the Sonic RS is the car for you. J/k. The appearance upgrades are nice. The louder colors really do make this car.

I like these engine choices. It'll be interesting to see the take rate on the turbo 4 vs the V6. We're still waiting on an engine option for the V, so I wouldn't start complaining about the lack of a diesel engine just yet.

I'm sure the decision to use lithiium phosphate batteries was made prior to the Volt fire incident. More poor journalism. The Spark EV doesn't need benefits of lithium metal batteries. It's a smaller car that's not also lugging around a heavy gas engine. Plus, it'll keep the price down, which is the only reason to buy a Spark EV over a Volt in the first place.

Sonic RS, ATS, and Encore are definites. I'd say, for the others, pick two from "Impala concept","truck concept", and "Corvette concept". The wording in the OP suggests that they'll both be Chevies.

$1000 per Volt isn't a bad charge for GM to have to eat, given the apparent seriousness of the problem. I know it's only one Volt that caught fire, but the average person is conditioned to believe that fire=bad, no matter the circumstance. I don't think GM could have handled this any better, short of giving Volt owners a ZR1 as a loaner and including a suprmodel in the passengers' seat. Yes, this issue is a bit of a black eye for the Volt, but GM deserves praise for the way they handled it. They responded swiftly and they showed that they will stand behind the product and the people that bought it.

I woudn't yank anything from Holden. They've proven time and time again that they, better than any other arm of GM, can make a silk purse out of a sow's ear. Look at the job they did on the Cruze hatch vs. the sedan. If anything, I'd give Holden MORE to do,

I cans ee both your points. It's not a big deal as long as there's the ability to upgrade the wheels/tires and nothing else on the base truck. I'd always rather have an OEM wheel upgrade over an aftermarket one. One thing I'm really starting to hate about the new Colorado - that bodyside molding. It really is disgusting, especially when it isn't body color. I like the truck much better without it.

I have carts at Amazon, Bed/Bath/Beyond, and Walmart (ugh) loaded and ready to be checked out before the end of the day. That takes care of everyone. Once it all comes in, I'll take a trip to the local dollar store for some wrapping paper, print my own labels, and that'll be it.

Just leave the damn name alone. If the new Colorado is actually that much better than the current one, the name will gain a positive connotation on its own. They could at least be consistent with their own previous decisions. If they're willing to give this truck a different name here than everywhere else....then change the Cruze back to Cobalt.
