  1. You seem to have a real knack for photography. Have you considered it as a possible career move? There's a definite creative side to you, BV, and it seems natural (and at least somewhat fun) to you.
  2. I think our First Lady staceface has one, at least as a demo model. My friend just told me that his sister just bought a orange metallic/tan leather GTP coupe and loves it. Had the coupe been out when I was car shopping last spring, it'd have been a very tough choice between it and the Cobalt.
  3. 22. You're sitting in a traffic jam on the highway. And the highway has six lanes on each side.
  4. Ignoring all the vehicles that are in the pipeline (NG Malibu, Aura, "probably" the Camaro): the Cien a Cobalt convertible a RWD full-sized Buick (at least as big as a Lucerne) a mid-engined car for Pontiac, in the sprit of the original MR-2 a Kappa Saab a Wrangler-like Hummer a Saturn coupe or sedan with a V8
  5. Vibe. Screw Toyota, we don't need them.
  6. sXe!
  7. The problem is, we'd still be waiting for a GTO if GM decided to allocate more time/funds to make one than it did. The whole purpose of GM rebadging the Monaro was to give GMNA a credible RWD performace vehicle as soon as it possibly could. The GTO really deserved a much better reaction than it got. I remember when Lutz first went to Australia to drive the Monaro, enthusiasts en masse were saying "Bring it here, now". Yet, when it got here, it was derieded for looking like a jelly bean, fat Cavalier, Grand Prix, or whatever.
  8. Here's probably the 5,235,786th signature that features the Camaro concept, but I'll bet it's the only one with a cursing Mustang.

    Desktops!

I spent the extra $50 for a high resolution screen (1920x1200) when I ordered this laptop. Why? Because I knew someday I'd be able to do this:
  10. While we're on the subject of cars that got castrated in the 70s and 80s, anyone remember the iconic "Charger" of the mid 80s? Now here's the drag race I've been waiting my whole life to see:
  11. Just in case GM execs happen upon this thread: Stop thinking. Stop studying. Build it.
  12. For the most part, I keep things clean, at least until I get a good read on the person and their ability to take light hearted humor. One thing I tend to stay away from at all costs is sexual humor. With most of the women I've encountered, if they laugh at it, they're only laughing on the surface. It bothers them way more than they let on.
  13. One more thing. Welcome back Camino. You were missed, my friend!
  14. Leave it to GM to do retro right. All four generations of Camaros had their say in this design. And yet, the car doesn't look old, instead, it almost looks futuristic. Oh, and it's gorgeous. Thank you GM. Thank you Bob Lutz. Thank you Scott Settlemire. You've just made my next car purchase that much easier.
  15. That's the best advice I've ever heard, ocn. BV, you could try eBaying your car and ATV, and specify "Local Pickup Only" for the shipping.
  16. Wow, just....wow. This is just awesome. The styling doesn't say "RX competitor" or "similar to an MDX". It says "I'm a Buick, dammit!!!!" There's more style packed into this thing than any Buick since the 1960s. I love it.
  17. :withstupid: Drugs mask the symptoms of a problem. I'd much rather get rid of the problem.
  18. Have you tried the skins out? There's a Pontiac skin that seriously was designed with you in mind :)
  19. Noone in that database comes from my hometown, but quite a few people are from LI: Billy Joel The Baldwins Lindsay Lohan Ashanti Ashley Massaro (WWE diva search winner) Mike Portnoy and John Petrucci from Dream Theater
  20. A couple of notes: - The Impy will get better gas mileage, especially on the highway - As your baby gets older and grows, you may end up appreciating the extra room in the Lucerne. If you plan on more than one kid, the W-bod will start to deel cramped. - See if you can spec a V8 Lucerne such that the equipment level is similar to that of the Impy. I priced out a CXL V8 that I could live with, for $33K and change. - The Lucerne might end up being more expensive to repair. This is a tough choice for me. I love both cars. I don't think you'll be dissatisfied either way.
  21. Didn't the early third-gen Vettes have them so that you could tell what lights were out?
  22. I'm cheaply conservative. I spend almost nothing on clothing, and I hardly ever go out to eat. Last year was a bit of an abberation, as I bought a PDA/GPS, went on vacation, bought a new car (with GMAC's help), bought a complete MCSE traiining kit, and overdid it on Christmas presents. This year I'll bring myself back in line, with a computer upgrade and another vacation being the only planned significant expenses.

    just like BV

If I were you, I'd stay away from 2drs if at all possible. You're young, and to the insurance companies, coupes + young drivers = $$$$$$$$$$ If you're open to getting a truck, you can probably pick up a late 90s S10 for really cheap, and insurance in general isn't terrible on pickups. If you don't want 4x4, getting one with the 2.2L should suffice, and mileage will be pretty good, at least what you're getting now with the Camry/Caravan.
  24. * stands up against the wall, talking with other dateless losers *
  25. NYE: Refilled a prescription for my dog's medicine. Helped my dad tear down an LT1. Got in my car and chased after my other dog that ran away. Finished the install of the GM Brushed Aluminum pedals in the Cobalt. Helped change the oil in my sister's Avalanche (Easiest.Oil.Change.Ever.). Played "Simpsons Hit and Run. Watched "The Exorcism of Emily Rose" NYD: Played Simpsons Hit and Run. Helped my sister move her stuff back into her room after refinishing the floor. Watched "Stealth". 1/2: Got a photo inspection of the Cobalt for my new GEICO policy. Washed/waxed the Cobalt and cleaned the inside. Played Simpsons Hit and Run. Got pissed when it started raining.
