  1. Not so much the styling or the FWD, but something that drives and handles like it, in a tidy little package. Hopefully the rumors about a Hummer competitor are true.
  2. Some more sub-3K cars in the DC area: clicky I tried using the "coupe" filter on Autotrader's power search, but a few 4drs slipped through.
  3. Check out this 1994 Eldorado. Very low mileage for a 12yr old car, interior and exterior look exceptional, and you get the Northstar V8 B) Edit: it has a tranny problem, but still a great car that could be worth the money to fix the tranny.
  4. *runs for cover in anticipation of the forthcoming BOF/unibody argument*
  5. Rich people are killing it for the rest of us. When cars like the ZL1 and Hemi Cuda fetch prices like that, it's only natural that their more plebian counterparts have their values (and the values of the parts to fix them)jacked up as well. So, grab your Citation X11s while you still can
  6. AdamCW_GMfan: His offbeat product ideas for GM were always interesting to read. STS_POS: Thanks to him, I now know that his STS is a POS babershah: he always kept the forum on its toes, asking when the LaCrosse was going to come out, and wondering when Buick was going to compete with Lexus. detroitman: he always kept the forum on its toes, asking when the LaCrosse was going to come out, and wondering when Buick was going to compete with Lexus. BUICK2004: he always kept the forum on its toes, asking when the LaCrosse was going to come out, and wondering when Buick was going to compete with Lexus. NAIAS2004: he always kept the forum on its toes, asking when the LaCrosse was going to come out, and wondering when Buick was going to compete with Lexus. blondie: Joining the forum, then leaving because it's run by Americans...that takes class. BaddaBing: GM could build a car that puts out 500hp, gets 50mpg, looks like pure sex on wheels, and purifies the air with its exhaust, and it still wouldn't please him. We all should have that kind of lofty standards.
  7. Just so you know, change the dashes above to equal signs, change "ariel" to "arial", and add a [ /font ] (no spaces) and you get this:
  8. Just so you know, Sixty8, the punishment for wrongly accusing an admin of modifying your signature is two weeks with this in your sig: just kidding. Noone deserves that. Yet.
  9. I baby it, big time. I wouldn't have it any other way. In the seven months I've had it, I don't think I've been past 4500rpm, even though that's the sweet spot for the Ecotec. I never jam on the brake or the accelerator. After every wash I check the pressures and fluids, and I treat the leather with Mother's lanoliin-based PH balanced leather cleaner/conditioner. After every wash, I wipe down the trunk, door jambs, and engine compartment with the wet towel just before I throw in the wash. In the summer I'll also wipe down the cutout for the sunroof. In the nice weather I'll wax twice a month...usually one week I use a cleaner wax and the folllowing week I use pure carnauba. With the winter weather I'm not able to wax as much, so I'm thinking of getting one of those detailing sprays (like the Mother's FX stuff) that I spray on the car as I dry it. I WILL use a claybar on it in the spring.Every couple of months I'll wipe the seals for the doors/trunk/sunroof with armor all to keep them nice ans supple. I occasionally clean the inner fenders with tar/bug remover to get them looking like new. In nice weather I'll swerve around puddles rather than drive them, to slow down the process of dirt collecting behind the rear wheels. Every two or three washes I'll wipe down the dash/console/door panels with the Armor all cleaning wipes (not the same stuff I use on the seals) to pic up the hair/dust. I don't vacuum alot, but I dump the mats out at least once a week. Since I usually clap my shoes together before I get in, I don't get a lot of dirt anyway.
  10. I'd get another Cobalt, without blinking. I'd probably splurge for the 2.4L SS though. Second place goes to the G6 GTP coupe in electric blue.
  11. Can any of you guys guess how I voted? Hint: look at my avatar. :AH-HA_wink:
  12. I'm pretty sure the G6 will be the only retractable hardtop near 30K. It's pretty much in a class of its own.
  13. I bought a GPS for my PDA for a tad over $200. It gives all the goodies of a nav system, plus I can take it out of the car and use it while on foot.
  14. Yeah, GM needs more people like him, not just in the design studios, but also as every mouthpiece for the company, from the CEO all the way down to the salespeople at the dealerships. FWIW, here's my two cents on that thread.
  15. <simpsons quote> "Well what do you know. It's also illegal to put squirrels down your pants for the purposes of gambling." </simpsons quote>
  16. In the house, I mostly drink "tap" water, but I get it via our refrigerator door that chills it and filters it. At work I stick to the cooler, which is stocked via an outside company.

    Roll Call

When registering with AOL instant messenger I had wanted z28_luvr as a screen name to match my email address. It was taken, and their list of suggested alternate names had 'z28luvr01' on it.The rest, as they say, is history.
  18. And when word leaked about the GM-80 FWD Camaro, enthusiasts went nuts. Think about how much worse it'll be this time around, with Camaro enthusiasts not having a Camaro for four years and counting. Yeah, what mustang84 said, GM is not that stupid.
  19. Happy Birthday Croc. There's a cake with a naked NOS in it headed your way, compliments of me.
  20. count me as one of the ocnblu types. I love the G6 coupe. An electric blue GTP with the two-tone leather, 6spd, Monsoon, 'roof, and polished wheels would do it for me.
  21. Sweet car! Another one joins the Cobalt army. Soon our ranks will be strong enough to take over the world. *evil laughter*
  22. Maybe he's from Top Gear?
  23. My faves: 1970.5 Z/28 RS, esp. in red with black stripes 1967-69 Convertible esp. in SS-RS trim all third-gen IROC-Z and Z28 convertibles the first cross-fire Z28s, in black with gold ground effects. 1998-02 SS, in red, pewter, and NBM
  24. I love the Enclave. I'll go so far as to say, outside of the Corvette, it's the most attractive vehicle GM has done in a long, long time.
  25. Don't forget weight :)
