  1. Blazers suffered from inflated MSRP syndrome, but you could probably have gotten a 5spd, V6, 4x4 Blazer for around 20K. Heck, last year even loaded ZR2s were going for less than that. Used, they're pretty decent values because they have no resale. Sorry, but as a former Blazer owner I had to speak up Congrats on the Xterra. Just watch out on turns. Xterras are known for their top heaviness, and I can tell you from experience that the claims are true.

  8. I've always had a soft spot for these, or the Yukon GT sibling. If you could find a '94, I think that was the first year for the Vortec 5700.
  9. Saab might be on the right track. They don't really need a keck of a lot of investment...not much more than they are getting now. here's what I'd like to see for them: - new 9-5 on E2 (though global RWD would be B)) - new 9-3 on E2 with 3dr, 4dr, and 5dr (SportCombi) variants - replace the 9-7x with a Lambda If they eventually take off (pun intended), reward them with a Kappa Sonnet.

  11. Good luck Camino. We're still snowless on Long Island so far. maybe I'll make this Monster Jam thing after all. I'll be thinking of you.
  12. This nornally might be a silly thing to be joyful over, but: Finally, the GM logo back on the seat belt buckles, where it belongs. Maybe the fender badges will take a hike now.
  13. And if you happen to have a spare $86,000, you could head down to your local Powell Motors dealership and pick up one of these: Personally, I think it's a steal.
  14. You have two malamutes, right Camino? You might as well splurge for one of these:
  15. We had one for about a week in Arizona a year and a half ago. It was a welcome change from the Hyundai Accent we left the airport with. It had decent power for a car its size, handled decently (if a little on the top-heavy side), and swallowed up four large suitcases in the trunk without a problem. I tell ya, I was pretty impressed with it then (shhhhh), and that was before they fixed the front and interior, and gave it some more giddy-up under the hood.
  16. About the only thing more fun is getting rock salt all over your car and not being able to do anything about it. And to think last weekend I was riding around town with the windows down and the sunroof open. I'm not looking forward to this. I was supposed to go to Monster Jam tomorrow night at Nassau Coliseum, but the best I can hope for is a cancellation so that I can get a refund/exchange. It's a ~1hr drive for me on a good night.
