  1. Do you guys remember the refresh that the Cavalier got for 2003? No way will it be that bad. It'll also be more extensive than the one the Camry got for 2005. And we won't be dropping "Cheers and Gears" in favor of alphanumerics to compete with BMW or Acura. Vipes: New skins for the forums are on my list of things to do, but it'll take some time. Trust me, you guys are going to like this.
  2. Obviosusly, you have my blessing to get the Cobalt. I take it you're not getting the Q now? Truth be told, it may be difficult to tell which one rides better. Welcome to the family
  3. Well it does suck.... yeah, I know, that was terrible.
  4. I think LS-6 = 1970 Chevelle, and LS6 = Z06. I usually refer to both as LS6, though.
  5. Go for it. A couple of years ago (I think for the SS Concept unveil), GM did a 1970 Chevelle with an LS6 from a 2003? Z06. I think John Moss was behind it, but I'm not 100% sure on that. What might actually turn out to be cheaper would be to find an LS1 (cheaper and much more plentiful) and make the LS6 mods to it yourself. Whatever you decide, please keep me/us updated. And don't spare the pics.
  6. Chicks with ticks? Ewww that's disgusting.
  7. Might I suggest these, or maybe these for your new wheel purchase? You can probably make some of the money back by putting your original tires/rims on eBay, or just use 'em for snow tires.
  8. Really? how do you do that? I just joined a bicycling club/ministry at my church, and I shudder at the thought of putting a bike rack of any sort on my Cobalt. here's my list: 1) Looks: I don't really care how many of them are on the road. I tend to lean towards timeless, gimmick-free shapes that will age well. 2) Power: for my daily driver, I just need it to respond the way I need it to when I hit the gas. The ability to occasionally be thrown back in my seat is a huge plus. For my 2nd car, too much is not enough. 3) Handling: After going from an 80s vintage S10 to the Cobalt, precise handling is now a requirement. I don't think I can go back the other way. 4) Stereo: CD player is a must, or no sale. As long as the system has decent bass, I'm OK with it. I love my factory Pioneer system, though. 5) Wheels: hubcaps=no sale. 6) Size: I honestly don't think I can live with anything much bigger than a W-body or Epsilon, or a Colorado from the truck end. Thank my miniature frame for that.
  9. As a concept, this thing is so cool. Anyone catch the altimeter-esque speedo? Love it. In all likelihood it's just a styling mule much like the SS concept was for Chevrolet. I think a production version with normal doors on Zeta lite would be a very nice addition to the Saab lineup.
  10. Arright, 97RegalGS. You leave me no choice:
  11. Better is OK. About as good as you can get after replacing the entire band. 'Civil War' is probably my favorite GNR song.
  12. Renault Encore
  13. Uh, considering that he owns those three GTOs, I don't think he minds how the new one looks.
  14. Thank you, haypops. The witch hunt is OVER. Move on.
  15. That might be the first Will Ferrell movie I actually go see.
  16. Counselor
  17. Those Camaros are HOT. I love the 73. Nice choice of wheels, and I'm a huge sucker for the red-with-black-stripes paint scheme.
  18. That's one of the first things I thought of when I first got my car. Thanks to the copious amounts of glass, the smallish C-pillar, the big mirrors, and the high driving position, it is really easy to see out of with no noticeable blind spots. The 2.2L provides sufficient power, but not enough to get anyone in trouble.
  19. NYC actually has some pretty established bike routes throughout the city. Plus, I think you can take them in bus/fire lanes. The only other major city I'd consider living in, Phoenix, is probably the only city I'd consider having a car in. Traffic isn't terrible, plus biking in broad daylight in PHX is asking for trouble.
  20. Cadillac Catera
  21. Okay, you're on!
  22. Ferris wheel
  23. A bicycle. I wouldn't bother with a car if I lived in a city.
  24. Previous haiku by Sixty8 is not right. One syllable off.
