  2. My guess is, it depends on what happens over at Pontiac, and what happens with the next LaCrosse. If Pontiac gets a SWB Zeta sedan for a GP replacement, then Buick will probably just get the LWB version. The next LaCrosse will probably be on EpII which should be AWD capable. Oh, and I voted Invicta. It's just too cool a name to pass up, even though I've warmed to Lucerne after seeing the car.

  6. Is that you next to that thing? Monster trucks rule. I'm still bummed that I got snowed out of Monster Jam this year.

  8. If you haven't done so, check with your guidance counselor. Sometimes the colleges you apply to have their own scholarships, and they send that info right to the guidance offices.
  9. Paul talks about that in Romans 3. I won't quote it because I know you hate it, Bob :AH-HA_wink: Actually, if anyone wants a Cliff's Notes version of the New Testament (if not the entire Bible), check out the book of Romans. It's probably my favorite book in the entire Bible...containing my favorite verse: Romans 8:37 - "No, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him who loved us."
  10. From what I hear, shaving emblems is really easy. All you need is either a hair dryer or, preferrably a heat gun. Whatever you have, point it at the emblem to heat up the glue to the point where the emblem comes right off with a little tug. The glue that sticks to the car can be gotten off with some Goo Gone, as long as it's paint safe. Glad to hear I'm not the only one who lubes the rubber seals. It's a heck of a lot easier than replacing all of that when it gets dry-rotted. Take care of yourself with that injury. Use a heating pad or something at night, and don't, and I mean don't, stop using the joint no matter how much it hurts. Exercise it as much as you can tolerate without crying. Otherwise calcium deposits build up in there and you lose some mobility. I'm going through the same thing with my left shoulder/elbow. The other day I got a little too overzealous on the bench press and tweaked something in my shoulder. Then Saturday came, and between cleaning the Cobalt all day and helping pile up nine trees worth of firewood, I must have aggravated something around my elbow. I think it's just muscle that's torn more than it normally should be. It only hurts when I have to put stress on it.
  11. Your paint shines up very nicely. Is this after the wax job that you injured yourself on?
  12. Next to the '70, the 80s Caminos with the Choo Choo Customs nose are my favorites. Very, very nice. An LS1 would look really good between those fenders
  13. Yeah, well, the maillady and my pastor both complimented my car this weekend, so there. *raspberry*
  14. Well, if the rumors are true and the Monaro does get produced here, I don't see why the Ute can't be built on the same line, with Chevy badges.. My gut says Lutz will make this happen someday. Chevy could have the Elky pick up the volume left by the SSR (a few thousand), and, if it stickers in the low to mid 20s, Chevy would sell every one. My thoughts on the El Camino....have it replace the standard cab Colorado.
  15. If I can draw an analogy, would you say that those men in prison who tie down and rape other men are homosexuals? You could argue that they're either homosexual or just plain starved for sex.
  16. Old GM trucks are so awesome. They just give their owners the feeling that "everything is going to be OK". Keep the pics comin' Camino. I'm liking what I see so far B)
  17. Welcome Tammy. It's nice to meet you.
  18. buickman, Please stay on topic. Thanks.
  19. I'll start by saying that the Bible forbids adultery. Sleeping around with every skirt that passes by is obviously not OK, but the grey area resides in what to do with the person you've agreed to spend your life with. Do you still have to wait till your wedding day? Or is the fact that you've decided to be life partners enough? I can't honestly say.
  20. That's exactly it. If going to a Catholic church gives you what you're looking for in a church, great. If a Protestant-based church is more to your liking, that's great too. The pastor of my church, though it's a Protestant denomination, does practice a few of the Catholic rituals because it recognizes their significance to Christianity. The important thing is the relationship that you have with Christ. Whatever church you attend should help nurture that relationship through fellowship with other people. Don't fall into the trap of relying on denominational doctrines to base your faith upon. Base your faith on what's in the Bible, filter everything that you get out of your church through what you know about the Bible.
  21. @Croc: Again, it depends on the individual church. While growing up Catholic, I've been taught that the following things will cause me to go to Hell, above and beyond what the Bible teaches is wrong: Setting foot in a non-Catholic church (getting married in a non-Catholic church was a marriage not recognized by God) not going to confession eating meat on Fridays during Lent not knowing "the Prayers" I'm not dissing the Catholic church one bit. See my comment about churches being manmade insitutions and inherently flawed above.
  22. And on the other end of the coolness spectrum, is this:
  23. .....and they all stink *da dum crash* :rotflmao:
