  1. Exactly, turbo. I specifically mentioned MY2007 because it represents the first fruits of the Wagoner/Lutz combination.
  2. Damn, I think that's the first time I've heard anyone say GM needs more people in management. Like I said before: To all the Wagoner bashers, when the Camaro lights the world on fire, and the Enclave, next CTS, new Saturns, and just about everything else that comes out from 2007-2010 help to restore GMs image and perhaps return it to profitability, I just hope you give credit where credit is due.
  3. Good for you. Obviously you have my approval You might want to check the papers and the internet for some lightly used ones. I've seen a few low-mileage specimens with mid-teens asking prices.
  4. The vast majority of them are, but I think GM uses chains, at least they do on the Ecotec and Northstar. Not sure about the HFV6s, though.
  5. I agree. According to your previous posts, it is stating that one of the reasons for the transition to Japanese cars is the (supposedly) more widespread availablility of automatics from the Japanese. My quote proves this wrong by showing that automatics were widely available from the big 3 since before 1950, when Japan sold hardly any cars in the US at all (comparatively speaking). What are they referring to then. "Modern times" is a very vague term, but I think anything post WWII could classify as being "modern times". If you're gong to play with fire.....
  6. I realize that Playboy's articles aren't exactly their main selling point, but when I see a glaring factual inaccuracy I need to step in. From http://ask.yahoo.com/20011022.html:
  7. I get the feeling that the movie will be the final sendoff for the show. I agree with Fly, Cspec, and Cadillacfan. The show does have its moments every now and then, but in general the writing really does show a lack of new ideas. I absolutely hate how they ust use Homer for sight gags and nonsensical comments. In "the golden years" he was still an idiot, but everything that came out of his mouth was funny because you really believed that's what he thought. Nowadays everything he says is so calculated and forced. Probably a lesser talked about loss was that of the Phil Hartman-voiced characters. Troy McClure and Lionel Hutz always had me in hysterics. I've seriously thought about writing a full script for a 1/2 hour Simpsons episode and mailing it to Fox somehow. I wouldn't want any money for it, I'd just want to see the show be as funny as it once was. I still feel that there has yet to be a show that can touch "golden age" Simpsons, not even Family Guy.
  8. BV knows how I feel about the G6 coupe, so I won't bother to say it. However, the GA was a pretty nice car after they gave it the Alero doors. I never was a fan of the aluminum-siding look on the SE, and the GT looked good in black (it minimized the cladded "look"). My biggest problem with the GA was the shape of the dashboard. What possibly could have been on te minds of the guys who designed it?
  9. You know, the money I spent to tint the windows on the Cobalt looks like a wiser investment every day :AH-HA_wink: I wouldn't rag on Honda bikes too much. Especially Goldwings and the Goldwing-powered Vaulkyre. They're very reliable and extremely well balanced. Plus, Honda was a bike manufacturer long berfore it started making cars.
  10. This is one of those "I don't really care" things. Obviously English is easier for an ign'ant American like myself, but if the radio uses symbols and I can't figure out what it means, I'll consult the owner's manual.
  11. I don't like it at all. They ruined the flowing shape of the G6 coupe with these tacky add-ons. The grille makes no sense. I agree with whoever said that they tried too hard to make it aggressive. The original SEMA G6 sedan grille would have been a much better alternative. Did I mention that the red chrome is horrible. If there is some hope, the original SEMA Bonneville GXP had very similar performance mods (to the SC3800), and the production version ended up being pretty different. Maybe the same thing wil happen with this turkey. If not, I'd rather have a regular GTP, and the part number for the exhaust system and the K&N filter.

  13. Agreed, Toni. This is a disappointment if this is the G6 GXP. The grille is ugly. The spoiler does not flow well with the lines of the car. The red trim is nasty. I'll take a standard GTP and do the GXP engine mods myself.
  14. Let's not turn this into an OHC-OHV debate. We've been down that road too many times in the recent past. Give it a rest for a while. I'm still very interested to know where they got the extra 30hp from. 3V heads? Direct injection? New 6spd auto that no longer requires the engine to be "dialed back"?
  15. Buick has the Enclave, the next LaCrosse, and a rebadged next-gen Holden Statesman confirmed by Lutz. Add that to the Lucerne, which is doing rather well for itself, and take away the Terraza and Rainier, and Buick has a pretty strong lineup...probably the best since the GNX days (puts on flame suit in anticipation of Sixty8).
  16. Three months of 100+...where do I sign? I can't wait for the day when I can take my winter coats, hats, gloves, boots, scarves, snow shovels, snowblower, and ice scraper, and start a nice bonfire.

    hahahaha

There's no such thing as too many Corvettes
  18. Happy Birthday, friend. I got ya a shirt (pic):
  19. Here we see this 1958 Cadillac auditioning for the lead vehicle in The Dukes of Hazzard{/u]. Though it was a valiant effort, the producers ultimately decided to go with something a bit lighter and more athletic.
  20. Sounds nice. I wonder if they got the three valve heads to work on the 3900.
  21. The Riviera is a G-body, right? I don't see why it wouldn't fit. Remember, the Bonne also has the battery under the rear seat, and it got the 4.6L Northstar.
  22. No fresheners for me. I clean the leather every car with Mother's Reflections cleaner/conditioner. That's all the smell I need...reminds me of the way it smelled when I picked it up. It's the smell of accomplishment, and of satisfaction as a result of that accomplishment.
  23. The AWD and GT were slugs. You need to rev the hell out of the 1.8 to get anything out of it. And the AWD was only put on the 1.3, further sapping an already weak engine. I really wish they'd just drop the Vibe altogether and replace it with something Delta/Ecotec based.
  24. Kids, kids, kids. You can both get me a beer. j/k Variance Welcome to the family, Lou.
  25. You mean you don't see yourself having the Space Needle fall point first into your eyeball, like that old episode of Itchy and Scratchy?
