  2. This is an easy one for me...my 1985 S10 Blazer. Custom painted Diamond Blue metallc, with a TBI 350 in it. The old Colt I had could stay in the junkyard where it was brought shortly after we sold it. Speaking for my father, I'll bet he'd like back his '62 and '65 Corvettes, along with his '68 RS/SS Camaro, '86 IROC, '85 Cutlass Supreme, and '84 Cutlass Calais.
  3. Absolutely! I'm 5'4" and found the HHR to be quite cavernous. Unless she needs the extra cargo carrying capacity of the Yukon, or the towing capability, by all means make the switch.
  4. thanks to camaroz28.com: clicky
  5. I don't think they can, because the batteries would drain after a while. Now, a hybrid with DoD/AFM, that would be something to see.I'm printing this article out and giving it to my dad. He is actually considering leasing a hybrid to ease his gas costs (he drives 130mi a day).
  6. I don't think anyone has hit on this yet, but don't forget about the dropping of the Bonneville, for what it's worth. Bonneville's death took with it a significant number of "older" Pontiac buyers. I'm not bashing the car, but at its price point it was out of the reach of most younger buyers.
  7. You know you're addicted to C&G when: - You see a teal Aurora and immediately think, "That one looks just like Flybrian's". - You see a unique car on the road and immediately commit it to memory so you can include it in the latest "Car Spotting" thread. - You read a bad review of a GM car in Car and Driver and think to yourself, "Man, I gotta get FOG to tear this guy a new one" - Every time you see a 240SX for sale, you feel the urge to tell blackviper about it. - You know who "The Mullet Wearing Post Whore" is. - When you plan vacations or road trips, one of the things that comes to mind is what C&G members live around that area. - When you see a Q45 or a Datsun Maxima and you say to yourself "Dammit, Sixty8, why'd you have to sell out like that?" :AH-HA_wink: - You try to convince your friends, relatives, or significant others to join C&G.
  8. Most of all, congrats on the house. I hope it comes through for you. I'm glad you've revisited the Cobalt idea. After the 'I think I'm going to get a Prius' comment my dad (A '70 LS6 Chevelle owner) made last night, I shudder at the thought of another person driving another advertisement for Japan, Inc. Sorry if I sound biased, but that comment from a lifelong Chevy guy really threw me for a loop. As soon as you drive the Cobalt, I'm pretty sure you'll find something else to get rid of when the time comes to buy the Camaro. How do your parents like their Cobalt?
  9. YJ, what you describe is exactly what I go through. Being the third, or fifth, or seventh wheel in a group of friends has worn thin with me. I avoid dealing with the issue by trying to keep myself occupied with some kind of physical or mental activity, but even that can't always hide the fact that constant, unconditional love from a woman is something absent from my life.
  10. If there really is a Kappa Chevy Stingray in the works, I'd say halt all work on that and instead get this Saab to market ASAP.
  11. The entire cast of Will and Grace
  12. Usually topics like these are allowed to exist because members for the most part keep the discussion civil and mature. I hope this one eventually gets there or else we'll have to flash the BTW, Lauren, I got your "tard hatch" comment.
  13. A K&N filter plus a less restrictive exhaust system (which you've done), should be good for an easy 10-15hp. Finding a hotter cam and a head with larger valves may be a bit of a stretch Upgrading the injector(s) will help a lot especially after you've enabled the engine to breathe more freely. You might also find a PROM to plug into your ECM that tells the stock injector to spray more fuel. Good luck on that though, as there probably isn't much of that available for that engine.
  14. I like Jazz, both classic jazz and some of the smooth stuff. Not in the car though. I prefer it as background music at work. It does have a relaxing quality to it.
  15. I it in that Electric blue color.
  16. Aww c'mon, Josh. You know you badly want to strut your stuff lookin' like this:
  17. So you'd turn down a Z06? Nah, didn't think so
  18. I hope you don't get fat, otherwise you could get some pretty nasty puncture wounds with those.

I think that's why I like it (not the Corolla part). It gives us 2.2 guys an affordable opportunity to get 95% of the SS look without doing all the mods required to swap the bumpers. Believe it or not the SS and non-SS bumpers have different mounting points and some mods need to be made to both the body and the bumper. Plus, at $800 + paint, it's relatively cheap for a body kit.
  20. We have some really great writing talent filling up the "Member Articles" section. Be sure to check some of it out, and feel free to discuss. Also, if you'd like to contribute an article, feel free to do so. One of our friendly staff members will give you all the help you need.

Tama, don't take offense. Sometimes things just "slip through the cracks". Especially articles, since the section doesn't seem to be very well frequented (unless note of a new article is made on the front page somehow). I really like this article, along with just about everything else you've written. Good work, and keep the good stuff coming.

No way. Now this Cobalt, aside from the eyelids, is very appealing: That body kit's actually now available from GM Accessories. I'm at least somewhat interested in it.
  23. I'm not saying a word. I'll just let trinacriabob see this and "school" you a bit.
  24. For 4-5K, you could get a decent used car. A 99-00 Grand Am is defiitely within your reach, and so is the non-supercharged GP. Also, check into an Alero or Intrigue. Resale is terrible on those, so you could get a reallly nice one for cheap.
  25. If I knew a girl was attached, I don't think I'd even begin the "picking up" process. I'm respectful of other people's relationships. Besides, any girl who would leave another man for me, has it in her to leave me for another man.
