  1. You're a man of honor just for thinking that, never mind saying it. This whole episode would be a big warning flag for me. Even if she does break it off with the other guy and stays with you, she does have the capacity to do the very same thing to you (cheat on you with another guy). I'm not saying dump her, but maybe take things veeery slowly and deliberately until she knows she can't live without you and other guys become invisible to her.
  2. You got a new job, Satty? Congratulations
  3. Yours looks a lot better...obviously it's based on the new 'Bu spy pics from yesterday.
  4. I had that when we went to Fresno. I can vouch for it being at least the best pizza I've had outside of the Bronx. It's a HUGE pie, too
  5. Aww C'mon NOS. You've got yours now. Let someone else have a chance. :AH-HA_wink:
  6. Would you mind giving me a few pointers? So far the only "definites" would be Sea World, Six Flags Fiesta Texas, and one of those "Highlights of San Antonio" guded tours. I'll also be looking for some good biking routes/trails, and probably drive down to Corpus Christi for a day. My inital plan is for July 6-12, but I'll gladly extend it.

Where'd they get this stuff from? That looks nothing like the SS concept front, at all. If anything, that grille looks more like the SEMA widebody Cobalt or the SEMA MAXX cross country from a couple of years ago. I'm honestly not a big fan of that grille setup, but that roofline and greenhouse looks to be pure hotness
  8. I'm not really a big fan of Long Island. I could see how it used to be one of the most desirable places to live, but it's not anymore. The main reason: they should have stopped people from moving there back in the 80s. Now, there's too much traffic and the land is too overdeveloped with no room for new roads or a better mass-transit infrastructure. Prices are ridiculously high for housing, and the cable and electric companies have every LIer by the balls and charge accordingly. To make a long story short, I'm 27 years old, make a pretty decent salary as a computer progrmmer, yet getting a house is still not doable financially. It's getting to the point where I need to leave here, even if I liked it, to be able to be self sufficient. The Phoenix metro area is my first choice, since my parents have land in Gold Canyon and will go there when they retire. I know it's another real-estate hotbed, but I like the weather and the social climate. I really feel I'm a southwesterner at heart. San Diego is a very close second. I'll probably be checking out San Antonio this summer for my vacation. I've always been intrigued by Texas.
  9. Every car my dad has owned since 1990, with the exception of our '90 Lumina, has been wrecked, flooded, stolen recovery, or any combination thereof. You can get a pretty good deal on a salvage car if you have the mechanical ability to fix anything that might pop up. For instance, our 97 Skylark, a flooder, has needed all four power window motors replaced, since they were submerged in the flood waters. And it wouldn't start when we got it, because the IP was damaged and was tripping the VATS. That one took a long time to diagnose. But my father's been fixing cars since he could pop a hood open, and he's been a Chevy certified technician since he was a teen. Give him any jalopy ad he'll turn it into something worthwhile. For someone with less experience and fewer tools, a salvage car could be a very costly mistake. Fly is right: you don't need any more headaches. Why buy something you know is going to have more question marks than an average used car? If you want something now and looking for an alternative to buying a car through normal channels, check out police auctions or repo auctions.
  10. Not a bad buy for the 'Bu at all. If it's still there when you're ready to buy, you'll probably get it for even less. LSs are nice looking cars (the best since the Mark VIII) , but Im not too sure of their reliability.
  11. The belt buckle that zigs?
  12. I don't like the white tach. It looks tacky (no pun intended). All the gauges should be one color, either black or white or whatever. Other than that, it's pretty good looking in person.
  13. Let's hear it for the quickest Trans Am, ever:
  14. I don't have any enemies that I'm willing to hold a grudge against. I just have people that I don't see eye to eye with on everything. That goes for C&G and real life.
  15. "Champagne Supernova" is a pretty cool song. The rest of their discography can be flushed down the toilet.
  16. I've always figured those aftermarket XM setups to be rather chintzy. Check out the antenna on that Accord.
  17. Gotta give credit for the Super Duty Firebirds of the mid-70s. They carried the torch for a few years after everyone else dropped their hi-po engines:
  18. I always liked the revised ground effects on the 91-92 Camaros.
  19. I think he's referring to the guy on ESPN. I must ask, Satty, what is your beef with Bryan Adams? I could understand everyone else on your list, but why him? He's no more harmful or abrasive than a cotton ball.
  20. That's their loss. I IROCs, especially the 'verts. I'm an Italian from New York, what can I say?
  21. I need her to be about ten years older.
  22. Congrats, Paulie! As a Longwood graduate, I am now required to hate you. I'll try to go easy on you though :AH-HA_wink: j/k.
  23. 500 for that car sounds good, provided the rest of the car is in good condition. worst case scenario is that you need a new motor, which can probably be had from a good junkyard for around 1K with a warranty. If the engine doesn't knock or anything, the repairs will most likely be concentrated to the top half. If you get it running, the 2.4L is a pretty good engine that will last a while with regular maintenance.
