  1. I'd love to see that happen, since nobody in the clubhouse likes him, and he's too much of a distraction. New York is too much for him. If they could get one or two good young arms for him, I'd be thrilled. However, it looks like Torre's getting the boot instead, to be replaced by Lou Piniella. Not sure how I feel about that yet. Sheffield can go too - he's another cancer in the clubhouse. Abreu can pick up the slack offensively. Gotta hand it to the Tigers. They played the game the way it's supposed to be played. Leyland better get manager of the year. Hey, they had a huge sign for GM beyond the left centerfield wall - I can't get too mad.
  2. "Do not let your hearts be troubled. Trust in God; trust also in me. In my father's house there are many rooms; if it were not so, I would have told you. I am going there to prepare a place for you. And If I go and prepare a place for you, I will come back and take you to be with me that you may also be where I am."
  3. My senses are on overload from my trip to the dealer this morning. '06 Z06 in the showroom (locked) '04 Vette, which I sat in '06 GTO outside, which I sat in and heard running. Sh*t those things sound awesome.
  4. It's invisible to radar. Also, it couls be the quality of the pic, but something looks different on the front turn signals. There looks to be a divider in the middle of them, and the 84-90 lights were one piece in the front.
  5. Alrighty then. My bad. By all means carry on
  6. hat
  7. *AHEM*
  8. Keep your emotions in check, YJ. It's not like these people are close friends or relatives. They're car salesmen looking out for themselves, not you. So it's your duty to look out for yourself, and milk them or all they're worth. Use the incident to your advantage - explain to them how pissed you are, then give a low-ball offer. Also, it could be that it was sold, but the buyer backed out. Either way, it's Advantage: YJ.
  9. I like the way you think, Camino.
  10. I am being wise. That's why I'm not getting all upset. Everyone is reading so much into ONE quote from Bob Lutz: Nowhere in that quote does he say anything about a Commodore or about Pontiac. He's just saying, "Wait 'till Chicago."
  11. I'm not gonna get worked up just yet. There are too many variables that aren't definite yet. - We don't know where it will be built. - We don't know if we're getting a rebadged Commodore or something with more extensive revisions. - We don't even know if it's a Pontiac (though Chicago is typically the Pontiac show) To add some fuel to the discussion, consider all of this: - Oshawa is obviously going to make more than just Camaros. - We know GM was toying with the idea of building the Monaro here for export to Australia. - GM would have to be incredibly stupid not to listen to the complaints re: the GTO styling (though personally I'm a fan of it). What am I getting at? Well, this comes from someone with no connections to the industry, someone who just likes to put puzzle pieces together whether they fit or not. I'm going with the risky choice: that we'll be getting a US-built Pontiac based on the Commodore but won't be a rebadge. Again, no insider info, so don't quote me.
  12. Oh no, you didn't. take that!
  13. No, you've got that backwards. Now drop your pants and run around outside singing "Stars are Blind" by Paris Hilton.
  14. I wish it were like mid-late April through early September all year round. Screw fall, and screw winter.
  15. I wish, because that would mean I'd be in posession of some top notch video camera equipment. But no, all credit goes to CD/BP. I did convert it from MP4 to WMV so the majority could play it.
  16. Hey BV, have you looked at a new Lucerne? Or, perhaps, a shoe?
  17. Well, what else do you want in a car? At first you wanted an Aurora, which makes me believe that luxury is some sort of priority. But then you go down to an Alero, which...... waitaminute. Forget what I was going to post. I think I've found something that might suit your fancy: '98 Eldorado I figure that one's probably too much, but look at that picture. Now I want one  This '96 might be right up your alley.
  18. Fall and winter can go take a hike.
  19. VIEW THE ENCLAVE VIDEO HERE(Windows Media Format) I'll try to add more formats as the need arises. Discus away.
  20. I got through washing and waxing my car this morning to find a ding, slightly smaller than a dime or even a shirt button and not deep at all, on the front of my hood. I've no idea how it got there, but the paint is all there so I doubt it's from road debris. Anyway, it's in a spot on the hood where there's double metal (near the latch/release), so the traditional PDR method of working it out from behind is impossible. Do any of these "glue on suction cup" ding removers (like the Ding King, et. al) actually work, and is it something I can pull off myself without making it worse? Is it even fixable at all without filler and respraying the paint. I'm willing to bring it to a PDR guy if it's possible for it to come out. The last thing I want is for it to look worse than it does now. The average passer-by probably won't notice it, but I do and it looks like an Arrival Blue Metallic Grand Canyon to me. I'm trying to get some pics, but it's not showing up well at all. Thanks in advance. As you can all probably tell, I'm beside myself right now.
  21. Yeah, IIRC, the recently redone Chinese LaCrosse is still on W.
  22. That green one is gorgeous. I've never seen a beige interior that spotless. Yeah, I'd probably say that's mud. If it were road paint it'd more likely be on the rocker and/or the lower door. If you're interested in a hike, there's a '96 in my company's newspaper with 86K for $27xx. clicky here, then go to the last page.
  23. <knightfan> *grins* Heh, I'd say it looks ridiculous enough with the words "Monte Carlo" on it </knightfan> j/k man. She's a beaut. I came pretty darn close to getting a Monte that looked almost like that. It was a yellow '03 SS with the sport appearance package. Why not bring her outside for some glamour shots
  24. I'm not sure if this is what you're looking for, but Howstuffworks.com has a pretty decent explanation of how brakes work: linky
  25. I will concede that the Durango/Aspen might actually be as differentiated as Tahoe/Yukon. Look at the fender flares of the Durango/Aspen, and you'll see that most of the sheetmetal is different, except for the doors. My problem with these two is that, like everything else out of most of DCX, they both look like bricks with tacked on cues that represent the division. For the Dodge, it's the big crosshatch grille. For Chrysler, it's droopy headlights, a big eggcrate grille with the wing on the top, and strakes. At least with the GM twins, the division-specific cues flow nicely with the rest of the design.
