  1. looks like proto66 already has his done (in the sig... haha!)
  2. Ok, got one done at the last minute... Pontiac G6 GTX
  3. LOL, I thought the exact same thing... Chevy's Trailblazer design team called too, they want their back end styling back (TB SS rear end?)
  4. Looks pretty good with the Avalanche front end.
  5. Sounds good! You may want to check out www.pro-touring.com (I spend a decent amount of time over there) and lateral-g.net. These sites get more into suspension and brakes setup. It might interest you in your project.
  6. Brandon, nice '68 in your sig... how far are you on your project? I have mine completely tore down and just got my front subframe and suspension componants powdercoated.
  7. In today's market, 2 seat's does not mean utility (if you know what I'm getting at). Blantently put, the majority of the SUV's today hall family and kids. People are the utility in SUV. Going by the essense of the model, no, the El Camino shouldn't have 4 seats. My only point is a 2 door car with a box bed will not be a big seller in today's US market. You'd be able to buy a extended cab 2WD pickup for no more than this thing would cost and have better hauling and towing capabilities. A new version of a El Camino is simply not practical to most in today's society. As far as your chop, why not just buy an extended cab Colorado?
  8. Because Daddy can have his V8 hemi while Mommy pick up groceries and takes the kids to soccer practice. To make the El Camino a seller in today's market, it would need to seat 4. In other words would need a back seat. After figuring that in with a 6 foot bed you practically have something the length of a limo. At that time price get's up to the point where it would just be cost feasible to buy a full size 2WD truck. There is a very small market for 2 seater vehicles in the US. How many non company owned regular cab pick-ups do you see on the road today?
  9. Nice one Decka!
  10. yeah no kidding, I'll have to start carrying one with me at all times!
  11. Can't beleive it!! First I saw a Yukon factory test vehicle on the Hwy last Thursday and today I was driving getting ready to turn onto the Hwy and here comes a all white '07 Tahoe!! No tape, no camo... just like you'd see it on the showroom. I recognized it from a few hundred feet down the road. These new GMT-900's are distinctive. When I saw the Yukon last week I recognized the tail lights from a distance and it was starting to get dusk when I saw it. So this "it looks like an expedition" bs is just bs in my opinion. Maybe in pics on the internet but they are distinctive out on the road in person.
  12. That'd be cool... or a G6 even.
  13. Well, I was going to skip a week but deceided to whip something up real quick while I had a little free time... The GMC Yukon XL
  14. I usually have a camera with me too, but was in her car. Not that it really matters since we can see the real deal on the front page of this site. The guy ended up pulling off at a rest area. It the g/f wasn't with me I would have followed him and and asked some questions. Oh well, only 3 more months before the NAIAS and will be able to qawk and ask Q's all I want then!
  15. NOS2006... that turned out nice!
  16. Was driving the ol lady up to the airport (detriot metro) and was just crossing the MI/IN border on I-69 and came up behind a white SUV with some black tape in spots around it. No camo/bra's but they did have the "GMC" and "Yukon" logo's taped over. I actually recognized the rear tailights before I got up on it. So it was distinct. Thought it was a Tahoe at first until I passed it and saw the grill. I slowed down to let it pass back by me for another look (the g/f was getting pissed at me doing that LOL!). It looked good goind down the road. Looks visually wider than the current Yukon but is probably just an illusion. Proportions look great on the thing. It had the same alloy wheels that are in the Yukon pics on this website (not the Denali)... Wow, I might be the first one on here to have seen one of these in person???!!!!
  17. Yup, made it from scratch.
  18. LOL... sorry. I had thought about making a twin kidney grill and calling it a "Pontiac Fiero", but since the Fiero was a mid engine that changed my mind on that. Will be very interested in seeing how yours turns out! timblazer... thanks!
  19. Well, sounds like a few will be doing coupes... LOL... and here's mine. Saturn Sky Redline 5.3L coupe
  20. What's this about the F150 tow rating??
  21. Dam stlcadet11... I was starting to do a coupe too!! LOL That's a sharp chop!
  22. Well here's my entry, not as extravagant as I had planned on going but oh well. Haven't had much time this week.
