  1. This will be my 8th time, heading up Monday morning. Been every year since 1998 except one. Will be interested in seeing the Tahoe and Camaro the most.
  2. Supercharger!!
  3. Boy they really stretched the truth then (top gear). They made it sound like it had the rear end of a 1950's chevy.
  4. I like it, then again I liked the original quit a bit too.
  5. Last I knew, the Vette had IRS.... where do they get leaf springs from???

    Camaro

Yeah but Detroits is a running model, the red one is just a push model hehehe!Anybody else notice that the silver one at detroit has cross drilled rotors and the red one does not?
  7. http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/10779158/ I am really NOT looking forward to China having a vehicle influence in the US.
  8. It looks like he copied Frank Lloyd Wright. It's fine for a house, but not for a vehicle, especially a truck.
  9. Interesting. I do agree, it seems that true city driving tends to get lower milage than what the sticker reads, however, hwy driving seems to be above the sticker in most cases. For example, my Avalanches sticker reads 14 city, 17 hwy. Normal driving in town gets me 13.5 to 14mpg. But I see 18.5-19.5 on the hwy. I averaged my milage at 70 miles one way on the hwy when I first bought the Av and got 19.4mpg running 67mph. Running 70mph or slightly above would probably get me in the high 18's mpg. For reference, I got all the above info using the trucks DIC numbers and averages.

    2007 Chevy HD

Wimpy IFS? Just how many failures has GM had with it?? The Ford's SFA rides, drives and handles like ass if you ask me.
  11. Other than the front end and vents in front of the rear wheel, I'd say it has more '67-'68 styling cues. Interior is deffinatly more '67-'68 than '69.

    CNN... WTF?

That's not funny one bit... Wow!Sorry, I spelled chrysler wrong above. I need to proof read better LOL. Anyway, CNN brought up the Camaro an hour later and noted GM and Chevy that time. At least they corrected themselves. But that was pretty much the only vehicle they focused on.
  13. The TBSS might be more stable but the SRT8 Jeep will outrun it by almost a second quicker in the quarter. I just drove a TBSS last saturday and while it does run decent, it's not shockingly fast. The motor needs to rev and is a bit sluggish when initially hitting the throttle, but after it gets above 3k it wakes up and runs decent.
  14. LMAO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I am kinda curious though why it was removed. I remember either last year or the year before they had a silverado hybrid with the hood open, so you know they have one in the works. I have to wonder sometimes just how many concept cars there actually do what they are supposed to. For example that Ford Super Cheif, I'd like to see it actually be able to convert over from gas to hydorgen with the flip of the switch.
  15. $45K would be great if it was loaded, but it's not, and that is with 2WD.
  16. Those prices do seem high for being "value prices". The $45k LTZ price is 2WD, not 4WD. It says they are all 2WD, so add some options and 4WD and you'll be over the $48k loaded Z71 price. Navigation and bigger wheels is not worth an extra $10k. When MSRP priceing is put almost $10k over invoice, they deffinatly have a lot of room to move to make it a value price. GM still gets the same amount of $$$, it's just the dealers might only make $7k or $8k vs $10k - $12k on a vehicle sold at MSRP.

    CNN... WTF?

I'm setting here watching the CNN this morning and they have a small segment on NAIAS. They start talking about the Camaro and show video of it while on the bottom of the screen in big letters reads "CHRYSTLER INTRODUCES CONCEPT CAMARO".... If this is how accurate they are, I wonder how true most of the news is from them????
  18. wow, the word "Toyota" and "Hybrid" in the same line... anybody want to guess what the 2007 car of the year will be? Couldn't agree more!
  19. Maybe he's just referring to overall sales then? Say, over a 3 year period. In other words, they'd have to sell 165k to make out on it before retooling for a new design or any upgrades??? Zeta as far as I know. A IRS version of it anyway.
  20. 165k to be profitable? Seems like a lot. I assume that's a per year estimate. Doesn't seem like they'd need to sell that many to meet their mark. What's the Solstice estimate? It's gotta be under 100k isn't it? My thoughts are... I can't wait for it to be built!
  21. I like the Maxima but don't care for this one, mostly due to disproportionate wheels and wheel arches. Interior styling looks like something from a new Ford.
  22. Ah finally pics of the interior! Very tastefully done, may be a bit too retro but very nice. Dash and gauges are deffinatly based off the '67-'68 interior. Pretty obvious that there will be a decent amount of small changes if it becomes a production model.
  23. Drive by wire eh? MMmm where have a seen that before???
