I really like the outside, but not to giddy about that interior.

That is one nice clean lookin car!! NO!!!! NO IT DOES NOT!!!! That's been the problem for over a decade
-
I agree with this statement, while it does like very nice, it's a bit too Korean in design (let me guess, Daewoo designed it?).

Ah, this was the first I saw it. They had a pick of that dude holding the sign in the most recent MT mag.

I think this should go on the front page of the site!.... Fans Against Racing Toyotas http://www.fansagainstracingtoyotas.com/ "Sunday August 20, 2006 This man Bill Bagwell (the founder of fansagainestracingtoyotas.com) was at the NASCAR race in Michigan he was holding this sign up at the pre-race television show Race day on Speed TV. He had been among the fans holding signs for over a hour. Their were many signs some positive about NASCAR drivers and teams and some not so positive. During a break the producer came over and told Bill he could no longer hold his Toyota sign up. Bill told him that this race was still being held in the USA and that he had freedom of speech. The producer said he agreed with Bill but NASCAR was yelling into his headphones that he had to get Bill's sign down. The producer told Bill if you show that sign one more time you will be arrested. Bill protested but realized that he was out numbered when the security guards started to surround him so he did as he was told and he no longer held his sign up. What is NASCAR afraid of? Do the Frances now do as Toyota tells them? We thought they were in charge of NASCAR or is who ever has the newest money the one who calls the shots? During this TV show in their have been all kind of signs held up. The women standing next to Bill had a negative sign about Carl Edwards she was not told to put her sign down. Fans always hold up controversial signs. Signs that question different drivers sexual preferences, signs that talk about drivers not being good or drivers being great. Was Bills sign so threatening that NASCAR was willing to violate Bills 1st amendment rights?"

Just saw a black LTZ sitting here in town... Wow, it looked awsome! I think the color alone made a difference on this truck.

My same thoughts exactly... expensive minivan replacement, but are minivans in disquise for the most part.

Yes, this is a very nice looking interior. MOSTLY due to the aspect of materials, color and accents. The basic design of the interior is average with any other average car on the market though, kinda has me wondering what the base malibu interior will look like in cloth and when everything is all one shade of gray. Can't wait to see the final prodection version!

Sorry, I this isn't really "GM news" but didn't know where else to put it. My Bro-in-law works as a web designer and is working on the new GM High Perf. Div. website. GM HPD is holding a meeting on Monday in regards to the new site. What they are asking for is info from GM gearheads like us to give some input on what they'd like to see on the new site. I need to turn these suggestions in to him by tommorow morning (Friday 11/10/06). My main thoughts are that I would like to see a section of the site dedicated to photo's and writeup's on each of their factory tuner cars that they've produced through the last few years... for example, that Orange GTO, the green RWD Monte Carlo from the late '90's, SEMA specials, etc. Please post your thoughts and I will forward this to him in the morning or late tonight. Thanks Buddy P

I'm still not sure why everybody refers to Gordon as "gay"? He always has the hottest chicks. Here's something to ponder on... has anybody ever seen Tony Stewart with a chick?

Perfect example with the ATV, honda has the limited slip while Polaris ATV's have a true full locking front differential when it senses slip from the rear wheels. I'm sure Polaris has some demo video's on their website at www.polarisindustries.com

First off the newer 5.7 HEMI dropped it's rating to 330hp, and the comparable GM engine would be the 6.0 (345 hp). The 6.0 package also includes a trans cooler and 9.5" HD rear end. Go with an extended cab and add the 6.0 package and the price should be the same or similar. My brother-in-law has a 2500 RAM with a 5.7 and aftermarket exhaust, while I know it's more powerful that my 5.3 Avalanche, after driving the "HEMI" it didn't feel any quicker by "seat of the pants". Although I know it would pull a load better.

It'd deffinatly waaaay overdone. Dont' like it.

Ah, saw Mark at the Woodward dreamcruise this year with his newest build, a white '69 Camaro with a LS7, coil over front, 4 link rear and all those other goodies. What is it that you do for work? Obviously car related. I'm building a Pro-Touring '68 Camaro right now.

That's exactly what it is, and that last I heard, it has been green lighted.

Hyper6, sounds like the roadster that Troy Trapenier built?? If it is AWD you can throw that 2900lb mark out the window. That too is the only way I could see 2.5, and even that is iffy. The McLaren F1 supercar has similar power and weight and ran 0-60 in 3.2 sec with a 1/4 mile time of 11.1. I just don't see how an additional 150hp on the vette can make it drop in the 10 second bracket in the 1/4 completely stock. However if it is AWD, the one "suprise" at 140 may be the front drivetrain disengages to allow for 2wd over that speed, kinda like the Nissan Skyline does. However the Nissan does it at 80mph, and 140 sound kinda high to have something like that occur. If I can get ahold of my souce I will be able to give some more accurate info.

NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!Also, I knew about the "427" Silverado earlier this year. I posted about it but nobody really responded about it.

Just in time for the Malibu hybrid to come out, now people will see lower initial fuel ratings while they still have the Civic and prius' Old milage numbers in thier heads
-
http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20061017/ap_on_bi_ge/fuel_economy "Next year's list will likely show a decline in gas-mileage numbers. The EPA is revising the way it estimates how far a vehicle will travel on a gallon of gas to take into account high-speed driving, use of air conditioning and rapid acceleration. Under the proposed testing changes, fuel economy stickers would show most 2008 models getting 10 percent to 20 percent less gas mileage in city driving and 5 percent to 15 percent less in highway use. Hybrid buyers will find a greater sticker shock. Hybrid ratings for city driving are expected to drop an average of 20 percent to 30 percent."

JUST RETURNED FROM GM CANADA DEALER ONLY CAR SHOW
BuddyP replied to CadillacCTS's topic in Chevrolet
Wow, well we all saw the Malibu spy shots and video off Edmonds, is the production version really that much more intreging than what we saw? I know camo'd cars are why blander and plain vs production but you can usually get some general idea of what it would look like. I'm sure anxious to see it now! -
Ok, if I did my math right, Toyota's sales actually fell during Sept. vs August '06. They had 240,178 for Aug. and 222,950 for Sept. That's actually a 7% drop in sales vs last month.... right? So Toyota must have had a bad month in Sept. '05?

Awsome!!! I think it's great that GM is taking it in their own hands to provide hydrogen sources, now they have 2 things they can profit from.... and in time oil companies will with they did the same.
