  1. I agree... a good concept poorly executed
  2. Yup, they can't keep a enclave on the lot and won't have one until Christmas to put on the lot!
  3. Until a higher number of units is sold, GM will already be taking a hit selling it at $30k. Lot's of R&D to recover.Just hope everyone isn't overly upset when it comes out way toned down from the way it looks now. Like Brian make comments to above, front and rear overhangs changing due to crash tests, smaller wheels, smaller finder flairs. Considerably toned down interior with significantly different and more modern design cues.
  4. Ooops when I emailed him I referred to it as the "Bu", he thought I was talking about Buick. Only 1 Malibu on order. No pre-orders.
  5. I know there's some salesmen on this forum... how many Bu's have ya presold? Any on the lots? I asked my buddy that works at the local Chevy dealer when he'd have them on the lot and he said "all have been presold so far, dont see one for the lot till christmas".

  7. ..."I got to drive it first, not only because “rank has its privileges,” but because I didn't want anyone stuffing it into a barrier before I got to drive. "... LMAO!!!
  8. That looks a 100 times better. Nice wheels, and finally with a little dish to them. Liking the "CTS like" front valance in that it comes down and doesn't return back 2 feet before turning downward. Very nice proportions.

    New Fit Photos

That is a WHOLE lot better looking that the current US version
  10. Mexi-NO!
  11. Saw em this morning on my way to work.... just thought I'd let you guys know! ;-)
  12. A set of decent tires and wheels should only cost a couple hundred bucks, I'm thinkin junk yard or ebay specials. I recently did a similar thing in that I was driving the Avalanche 45 min. each way to work. I picked up a '86 Fiero SE for $1000, put an extra $500 into it and now have a decent looking, good driving car. Granted, a Fiero wouldn't be anybody's first choice for a winter vehicle.
  13. That was my statement, and the reply was "how many did GM recall", so was hoping for hard numbers to figure percentages from.Somebody's gotta have some hard numbers.
  14. Somebody help me with an argument.... How many total vehicles were producted in 2006 from GM.... from Toyota? How many total vehicles were recalled in 2006 from GM.... from Toyota?

  16. Whooo! The future is now boys! The cadillac instrament layout with the nav in corperated is very slick!
  17. Dealers push potential GM buyers away more than the product. And this is a case of it. A car that a person doens't need, so if they can't be respected by the dealer/salesman, then it's no skin off thier back. They can just leave and not buy the car. GM itself needs a group of people that do nothing but keep an eye on the dealers and how they are operating. Also it should be no suprise that sales are lower on Solstice/Sky than when released. Why is this a suprise?? Also, I like the Sky design inside and out, better than the Solstice.
  18. Thanks guys, it drives good now that I have the new tires, shocks and break on it. When I first picked it up it bobbed like a cork and drove so bad I wanted to just drive it into a ditch and leave it. But it came out alright. The car came with a set of 195/70's in front and 185/70 studded... yeah you read that right... tires in the rear. These new one's are 215/70's (wider therefore also taller).
  19. Yup, picked up another one a couple weeks back. '86 V-6 4-sp manual. The motor and tranny had been all rebuilt, but it had a miss in the motor. I went back a week later, took my chances and brought it home. Ended up just being bad wires. It runs good at speed but doesn't idle good right now, the guy put a new timing chain on and I'm fairly sure it's off a tooth. So I may have to dig into that. Other than that I ended up putting on new shocks/struts, new brake pads, new caliper and rebuilt the other 3, turned all rotors, painted the ground effects silver, new tires with matching wheels and detailed it up a bit. Got $1500 into it with all the new parts. Bought it as a daily driver to keep the miles off the Avalanche. Been doing a lot of work with a guy 40 min. away lately. Here's a couple "Before" shots... And here's a couple "After" shots...
  20. Woodward is a blast. I'm blessed to be only 2hrs away from D-Town, unfortunatly I was not able to make it this year (grinding my teeth at I type this) but have full plans to do it again next year.
  21. now THAT would sell, but yet they won't build anything like that?!As far as the Lambda, 2 rebadges is ok, a 3rd is pushing it, but since one is so difference than the other 2 (Enclave) we can let that one slide. But to put a 4th that resembles the other 2 is not the way to go. Yeah I know, this was pushed out due to the Chevy dealers bit**ing about not having anything to sell. First off I do agree that they need something in that range to sell, but it should've been a SWB version (5 seater) to compete with the Ford Edge and keep it's "value" in play. However I do believe the front end will be pretty cool looking though.
  22. You may want to re-investigate your info.... Aura XE 219hp V-6 - 30 mpg hwy 0-60 7.0 Aura Hybrid 164hp+elec - 35 mpg hwy Camry 155hp I-4 - 31 mpg hwy 0-60 9.5 Camry Hybrid 147hp+elec - 34 mpg hwy Accord 175hp I-4 - 31 hwy 0-60 8.5 ....also note that a loaded Aura hybrid is $4k cheaper than a loaded Camry Hybrid. And since the '08 Malibu is to have a 4 cyl option look for a mininum of 32 hwy out of it. Looks to me that the Aura has better perf, and on par mpg for lesser cost.
  23. That would be the "Best-Ever" incentive ever put on a truck
  24. Unfortunatly it's these owners of 10 year old GM products that compare a New Toyota/Honda against thier 10 year old GM/Ford product. Why they don't compare thier 10 yr old domestic against a new domestic is beyond me. Wifey's 8 yr old 217.000 mile Alero is doing great, both powertrain and body. The front of the hood is rusting and the dash vinyl has started pulling away due to setting out in the sun for most of it's life but what can you expect with a 8 year old-217k mile behicle? I have just recently had to replace a broken coil spring, and replaced struts/strut bearings since I was pulling it all out to replace the coil spring. It had a leaky oil pressure sending unit at around 90k miles. That's about it.... Oh yeah, and it' get's a consistant 30-33 mpg's.... 29mpg's on a bad week. Currently a good used G6 will be in our not too distant future.
  25. My guess is most Tacoma buyers bought a new Tundra instead
