Uuuuh No. U have seemingly about as much business sense as U have sense.. which means none. Going to the TARP money opens up a can of worms that U really should leave closed.. as of today.. FCA paid back $10.6 billion which is about $2 billion less than the $12.5 billion the company borrowed from TARP. Fiat has a thing with stealing $2Billion I think.. What makes it worse is that for all intent.. the U.S. Gov't GAVE Fiat Chrysler, GM stayed under Gov't ownership until THEY bought the Gov't out or the Gov't sold off its shares. Get your facts straight F-Boy (that could mean TWO things ) before U respond.

?? That's not really accurate and I don't see how it is relevant. They paid back part of the loan with loaned funds they weren't using.... there is nothing wrong with that. Can you both just go back to your corners? He most likely doesn't understand simple logic. A Bank loans me money. I use part of the money, and the part I don't.. I return to the bank in a lump some "payback... " I didn't even write that.. My 6 year old nephew did because even he understands the logic behind it Sorry Drew.. I hate sparring with certain less mentally fortunate types but it comes with the territory. If I didn't kno any better I'd swear S T E W spelled Vexner.

. Cadillac is an iconic American brand. Heritage? It has it in spades, but for a brief moment.. 20 years of its 100+ year history is put out mediocre product that did not latch hold of the changing trend towards Sport-Lux.. and Americans never forgave them for it. BMW is the go to Sport Lux, while Mercedes is the Luxury leader. Audi and Lexus win buyers who want something still German, but different or reliable (Lexus). Jag and Cadillac are currently on the fringe. They are the old up and coming that have to prove themselves worth of the new world order.. despite Jag quite possibly inventing the idea of Sport.. and Cadillac quite possibly inventing the idea of Lux

ROFL, let's see. 6.4 Hemi, nearly 500 HP NA, 5.7 Hemi, nearly 400 HP NA and dynos show the same for the Challengers despite the official ratings, 3.6 pentastar super smooth, powerful, and all are reliable. 2.4 world engine vs GM's newer 3.5 in the Malibu? Power and the general feel is the same and the World engines are proven in reliablility too. World class 7 speed ZF Auto shared with high end makers? CHECK and having it since 2011 when 2014 was GM's first use of an 8 speed. Go hump GM in the GM threads please and get off your high horse, don't ou have to defend in some later recall about ignitions that, unlike the others, comes straigh from GM and NOT suppliers..... PS; Wings is running circles around ou on this forum...... Sorry. I missed a whole bunch of this drivel. Got be honest with U.. the Hemi has power, but the cars that it goes into are $h!ty and fat... or is it fat and $h!ty when it comes to driving in anything outside of a straight line.. and even in that it more often than not gets its ass handed to it by a Chevy or Ford overall. 485HP and 475lbs of Bump.. and still cannot manage more than a 1/10th of a sec more leeway in 0-60 versus the 60HP/55lb ft less LS3 powered Camaro.. or even less torque and and 50HP less Mustang, and just equals the Camaro SS in the 1/4... then to top it off, takes longer to brake.. gets worse F/E, and YUP.. throw in a curve.. and see ya later Chally.. don't roll yourself. To the transmissions. Are U really celebrating the fact that Chrysler went to an OE and had them build a sourced transmission for them as opposed to building it themselves??? Americans.. Foregone conclusion in a nutshell. Yeah.. I prefer an Outback steak over one I char-grilled with my own mixture of seasonings, and properly aged meat any day of the week. LMFAO

LFX is superior.. and U need to stop quoting the 305HP number as it is a FWD only application that U are comparing to Pentastars that come close with RWD vehicles. The comparison U should be making is the RWD GM vehicles to the RWD FCAs 323HP Camaro vs 305 HP Challenger, the GM engine with a 6% advantage. . before the new one arrives giving it a solid 10% advantage with Start/Stop.. and AFM I am not reading all your GM humping, but that peak HP number doesn't mean much when an auomatic Camaro coupe runs the same times as the heavier CHallenger, oops, and the Camaro gets worse FE, tell me again how the LFX is superior? GM humping? When me and GM get together we do a helluva lot more than Hump.. I leave her loins wet and sticky everytime... Chrysler? That Skanky ass whore. Been passed around more times than a 9 year old boy, being advertised as virgin at an ancient Roman bath house... As for fuel economy... Again 2 extra cogs will do that for u... Not to mention the less amount of HP. V6 Challenger could get taken down by effin Corolla lol 2 extra cogs? It still gets bettter fe with the same or LESS cogs! ANd they both whored out to the government so watch what you say about a whore...... And what about that continual reeming GM keeps getting over their faulty safety prctices? Maybe they should both wear a condom....... One who humpeth GM hath nothing to say against another maker. U are truly smoking something son son... and it ain't weed. GM whored itself to the Gov't.. Yeah.. it flushed Billions of debt.. got rid of undesirable contracts and legacy costs.. and in the end.. forced the Gov't out before it even got all of its cash back.. Yeah.. GM got screwed on that one.

I still say that the CT6 was a under-promise over-deliver situation for Cadillac. This is not an XTS.. which is an excellent luxo car in its own right. I truly believe that it is a superior car to the current crop of Euro Flagships, including the S-Class, but within the parameters that they will cross-compete. For example.. until avail from Cadillac, an AMG S63 will certainly beat the $h! outta anything from them, but the S400 to S550 will have its hands full with the CT6 within those power/amenities. Having spent plenty of time in the previous S-Class.. and several drives and rides in the current S.. I simply don't see what is so hard for other makers to duplicate, or build superior. I also don't see why people think that it is so unbeatable. The only thing I can think of is that when I was in a certain position in life.. I thought anything with a Benz, BMW, Caddy, Jag, or even Lexus was the $h!.. now.. they are "just" more expensive than regular cars. Styling is the only thing that pushes the envelope in many case.. as much of the tech is available as far down as a Chevy Spark, for all intents.. today's Geo Metro

Underrated or not the idea of its OK to put a 4cylinder in a Euro, but blasphemy to do it in an American Luxo is BULL$h!. Its actually no different than the BS that has been ignored about the Audi A8 coming in FWD config since forever in Europe, but them only offering it in AWD to fool the Car "Enthusiasts" who despite all their worldly car knowledge always are oblivious to this. And no harm, but can U post a link to where the 528i was faster than the CTS2.0??? Casa, I don't like the double standard either, it's all bunk and nonsense. As for posting links, I'm lazy, but I think everyone knows that BMW and Audi especially love to drastically underrate their engines. I think with the 8 Speed, the CTS will be even with the 528i. Most tests had the 528i at about 5.8 to 6 Seconds range while the CTS had a 6.0 to 6.3 seconds 0-60 range. All of it due to gearing. But.... here's the but... the Cadillac is lighter. And I'm just putting it out there; but I really couldn't care about 0.1 second differences myself. I'd get the Caddy every day, all day; every time, all the time. Just so you know. Underrated or not.. the tests I've seen of the 2.0LTurbo vs the 528 have actually put the CTS on top or on par. The one where it doesn't is the 3.6L vs the 535i.. the 550i vs the VSport is a Cadillac victory

The deal is the combination between power, reliability, synergistic smooth, and fuel efficiency. The GM engines are a combo of what BMW puts in to power, Honda puts into reliability, what Toyota puts into fuel economy and, and now what Benz puts into smooth working.. all in one bite. They tend to have all the "proper" qualities. The turbo 4s and 6s are sublime.. and we all kno the SBC is an iconic GOD. Chrysler has the HellCat... , but then again.. FCA doesn't have the same CAFE responsibility... or should I say urgent CAFE responsibility in the same way GM (and Ford) have.

Yeah Yeah Yeah. I have no problem with other brands as long as they aren't being sold in America. This is GM and Ford country.. and the only thing that should be allowed on the roads. Now.. if Sergio is willing to let the whore that is paying the bills right now go to either of these two... or American investors... then I will be waiting with open arms for another Domestic company again

No that is effin PATHETIC.. that a car the size of an Impala.. is similar in weight to a GOD DAMN mid-sizer that is actually smaller than many mid-sizers. Tell Fiat to stop feeding that fat ass Chrysler lasagna with a cannoli chaser

I don't see how you get that. the 200 has considerably better HP WITHOUT DI. the Charger can be had with the same HP and STILL considerably better HP. Even the 2014 200 with the old 6 speed auto gets better MPG, so nice try, but no cigar...... Hell, even the old 5 speed in the Charger provides up to 305 HP and better MPG. And with all the GM ranting you do, ou are FAR worse than me, apparently you must be a GM engineer? I am just making actual valid points, you are the other hand, well, you are helping me out....... Actually.. MOPAR FAN.. the Charger does not come with the 292 horsepower, 260 lb-ft of torque.. even Dodge lists it as such on their website. U can bump it to 300HP.. 300HP... 300HP with the Rallye The Challenger comes with 305 horsepower, 268 lb-ft of torque. But alas.. U missed the part where I was speaking strictly of the Impala.. or Lacrosse.. or XTS.. or SRX. See a pattern??? In the RWD applications the LFX makes between 318-323HP.. So I am missing where this "Pentastar making BETTER HP BS is coming from.." DI or not.. that's FCA's folly, not mine. (where's that wink Smilie?? Oh.. here) In the mean time.. the LGX is on the way in a few months with 335HP or more.. As for me working for GM.. naaaaah.. I work for myself.. and is part of the reason why it took me so long to answer this BS U were kicking.. I was making some doe so I can buy me another Cadillac

Stew I'm starting to think that U are not just a fan of Chrysler.. but an engineer of Chrysler.. U are taking this $h! way to personal. That being said: My HUGE Impala V6 Horsepower: 305/ Torque: 264 and a 6 speed vs the smaller Chrysler 200 with Horsepower: 295/ Torque: 262 with an EFFIN 9 Speed, yet here are the results... I'd say GM's 3.6L is a lil better sorted out.. and I look forward to the one that is coming in less than 6 months The only place U really see a true bump with the Chrysler is when the legs are stretched and the 3.. count em 3... I said 3 extra gears allow it to cruise a lil easier down the road..

That is a stretch. if ALL of the products were being put off for years, you may have a point. The fact is the major products are simply months and tweaks and updates to improve them and their quality makes a LOT more sense than the diatribe you just spewed. IMHO, they are going o have a lo of touble with the new Wrangler. How do you improve cafe, keep the loyalists happy, and keep the price reasonable. Same with the Ram, it needs to get lighter and better FE, but sense sales keep falling for the Aluminum F-150, you have to wonder what is he best way to achieve this and i believe this is the true delay for the Ram. I wonder if the fact the Dart is delayed means that it's survival may be in question because isn't the Chrysler 100 a new compact sedan based on the same platform? LXs just ot a major new refresh with updates as extensive under the skin as out, so 4-5 years seems about right there. Having a refresh, especially one as major as what the LXs just went through for just a ear or 2 makes absolutely no sense, especially when sales are on the rise. Again, you WANT them to fail so you will see issues everywhere. Your total post is wrong, with exception to one part.. the last sentence.. if they aren't ACTUALLY American... Eff 'em...

U are considering getting rid of your GS for a Stingray right?

and this is why I stick mostly to GM threads.. WTF was that.. and WHY the EFF did Olds post a video and try and blind me??? That looks tacky as all get out. Retro?? Yeah, but retro in a way that certain makers have past cars that looked like $h! in the 80s.. and look even $h!tier now. Come on GM.. bring back the minivan via a retro look at the Aztek... or Ford.. can we get a hatchback based on the magnificent Pinto.. Chrysler??? U kno I want a channeled AMC Pacer in a sport coupe. Nissan??? I'm dying for a rework of the B210 Point is..retro for a lot of makers means picking thru a bunch of ugly trash in the first place that was ugly then.. uglier and tackier now. They simply do not have your 1970 Challengers, 1968 Camaros, or 1967 Mustangs like we do. Would U really balk if Cadillac brought a modern interpretation of the 1967 Eldorado??? yes.. because I love the Ciel more than the El Miraj

all of this is inconsequential because the real deal... the truth of the matter... what is being shown here... is that Chrysler, despite the bankruptcy ,is for all intent and purposes are having money issues. They are unable to launch products... new products that are going to take it into the next 10 years without help

No.. this was essentially what I was referencing yesterday, but was too lazy to post the article . Let's be honest.. if this were a certain other company people would be in arms ready to riot. Hell technically the Cruze is still selling damn well, but let GM push it back another year and bloodshed will follow. Not to mention the article clearly states what Sergio is doing.. he is biding time to try and wait for a partner that will enable him to rebadge instead of redesign. GM was the perfect source.. as he could have gotten the K2X platform under the Ram styling. Mary said no.. so now.. I would imagine he is knocking on Mark Field's door. Ford and FCA OR FCA and Nissan/Renault together would make them instantly a single maker larger than GM and VW and on par for Toyota's spot. This would then spawn GM or VW .. or/and Toyota to merge with someone else as well. This is for bragging rights.. its for better positioning and negotiating with suppliers and tax makers.

FCA Drops Warranty from 100k. Follows GM to 60K
Cmicasa the Great replied to Cmicasa the Great's topic in Chrysler
I don't see that much of anyone is rooting against Mopar, you're looking at this too much as people talking negatively about them specifically. What we're doing is pointing out negative facts about the parent company. I think most have agreed that the Mopar brands are the strength of the FCA lineup, and I think even Casa would cheer for them again if they could find their way back under some American ownership, which seems to be his biggest gripe with the Mopar section of things. For better or worse, FCA is in bad shape, and it's not the fault of the Mopar brands, but more accurately despite their success that this has happened. I do think that the Mopar contingent have shown their value, and should FCA as a whole go under I still think that someone will find a way to snatch them up and keep them going. They have profitability, heritage, and a nice line of vehicles when taken as a whole. It may take them getting all the way to the brink, though, before they are given that chance at redemption. Yup... I was more of Mopar fan when Cerberus owned them.. because they were American. I am no fan of Fiat
