Cadillac hit hard times, falling from its once lofty post above all other brands. To me, it is a time game of continual hard work and making the best. They can't let up and I don't see them doing that anytime soon. Set to debut during Oscar night.. this ad showcases some of the awesomeness that is and will be soon.. at a Cadillac dealer near you. GMC News: Denali Makes Big Money For GMC
Cmicasa the Great replied to William Maley's topic in GMC Trucks
U really are a fool. The Denali brand is actually cross shopped with the Escalade, Range Rovers, LX and bitch ass GLs. The GMT800 Denali was well known to be bought by a higher income demo than any of the named including the 'Slade. Basically because it was less glitzy than all of them. Oh.. and I kno for a fact that Cadillac provides the same.. for many a HEAD of these United States Sorry.. I don't really count the new guy -
Buick News: Spying: Buick Enclave Shows Off Its New Face

My only gripe with the Camaro is the taillights.. as I swear they should have never went away from the quad taillights the C5 debuted with. Other than that.. in the trim I would take it.. SS and above.. its gorgeous in my opinion- 8 replies

GM has Chevy and Cadillac in China as well. Your Corvette inclusion is stupid.. as there is no comparable model at Cadillac, as much as it pisses me off.. to buy as an alternative to Corvette. Porsche is a bonafide Sports-lux brand that has always catered as to those aspirations. Cadillac.. in that regard is an up and comer.. ironically considering their age. In terms of CUVs.. even more so. The XT5 could move a few units I'm sure touching the $80K mark.. if a VSeries model was built with the performance to back it up. I bet they could do it with a TT3.0L hooked into their performance AWD system and more agressive look. It wouln't be a stretch at all... Let's not forget that the Macan too.. is FWD based -
GMC News: Denali Makes Big Money For GMC
Cmicasa the Great replied to William Maley's topic in GMC Trucks
So what U are sayin is that Cadillac finally smartened up and start advertising MSRPs that were lower but when the buyer got to the dealer still ended up being sold on products that much higher in price.. Cause I can tell U that I have yet to see anyone I kno buy a base Cadillac in the last 5 years. Furthermore ATPs on each model along with overall brand suggest something totally different than what U are saying. With exception to the ATS.. every Cadillac being sold right now is selling a rather nice hike on the MSRP due to proper optioning by consumers. -
Altho the 3.6L is a great engine.. even better now (I loved the LLT 2011 Camaro RS and love the LFX 2014 Impala LTZ ) in its latest iteration.. the LGX.. Cadillac and JDN need to go the consistent route.. and play more to the Global side with smaller engines boasting big power. Anyone I kno who has driven the 2.0L or 3.0L turbos have had to be convinced that they were 4cyl or 6cyl and not a rung up respectively... On that.. then I actually agree with Smk for a change. Frankly, Cadillac needs to abandon N/A 4s and 6s now that they have Turbos that are as sublime as any of their competitors. XT5 deserves the base engine as the 2.0L turbo and the 3.0 turbo. 270HP and 390HP respectively

Cadillac is a different story.. but the Chevy Brand does have higher trims already. The HIGH COUNTRY is an example on one particular vehicle. Buick having Avista has NOTHING to do with Cadillac. These brands should operate on their own.. and like the article states.. GMC could be a company on its own in the Fortune 150.. Why can't Buick selling over 1.1 Million units up to Sept 2016???Meaning it probably hit 1.3, 1.4 full year numbers, so why not capitalize on it? -

I swear to God I had the first post in this thread.. it even shows up in my profile.. but for some reason it's not present.. anyway.. I tried to get this across to Smk awhile ago. Gotta wonder why the new Avista brand is coming.... Wait... No U don't. Seriously. Imagine Cadillac getting highest ATPs in its segment... GMC/Denali.. Buick/Avista.. these are the things that will prove to be the reasons why GM is now becoming a Profit maker on the cusp of VW/AUDI/Porsche. GM.. could make even more of of GMC.. that's the other brand that idiots back in 2009 said should go along with Buick.. They could offer, along with Denali.. a "Hummer" Trim. But have 3 specific models that look mysteriously like the H3, H3T and Hx concept.. all based off the Canyon/Colorado -

U kno what? God Damn it U make a lot of sense to me. Definitely cleaner. I'm dying to get my hands on a CT6 Hybrid. If it proves to be a hit.. implementing it in CTS, XT5, and ATS would be a good thing. I still think that the Escalade might benefit from diesel tho

Yeah.. pretty much.. but in truth.. its 640HP/630lbs.. in a car that LOVES ITSELF so much its always dying to show off for a crowd. Cadillac did an awesome job taming her in normal driving.. but waking her up from her slumber is just a simple nudge away -

Looking forward to this. Honestly I love the new Traverse... The Enclave is going to be the same in size but equivalent to an LTZ in lux to start and even more so in Avista trim- 8 replies

Lax. Sport mode definitely effects transmission and throttle. Putting in Comp Mode will disable it tc and sc. Once on Comp Mode one then has 5 more options to go thru -

Driving around in Sport Mode is a recipe for disaster if U are not familiar with the car -
Word is that by 2018 there will be 10 Chevy and GMCs with Diesel. My question is why,.. with the competition offering it avail.. does the ATS, CTS, and XT5 not have a diesel ready to go? Please no one say that the engines's aren't refined enough.. because for one.. their was an actual time that the ATS was pushing a 2.5L. Great engine in a Cruze or Malibu.. but the single pipe ATS makes me cringe when I see it.,

A Car company??? Its a Division.. at best a subsid. Considering the situation... its $2B is pretty nice The new Regal could simply be a Malibu mate like the last. In fact it probably needs to be a bit larger.

NO.. they are not gouging people for the sake of gouging them. U seem to revel in the idea of the Germans raping U raw... I kind of like the idea, for instance, that my Vseries starts off $10K less than the M5 and absolutely looks better and classier has a nicer interior to boot.. has been the epitome of reliability.. and when its called upon to fuck that Kraut Bitch up.. it delivers in spades.

And I say WHY NOT??? Cadillac's biggest issue in the WORLD.. not including Europe which really isn't a money maker for most outside manufactures.. is that it simply isn't present. U.S. and China.. Cadillac is doing well considering its market saturation (models avail).. Buick is doing absolutely awesome in China and quite well here as well.. Chevy is doing great in US and China.. other regions seems to embrace all three. Cadillac products have been for the most part selling themselves. Their sales lag has to do with re-positioning, repricing, weak marketing, and first and foremost.. less product specifically in the CUV classes. I see, since Holden really isn't about manufacturing anymore.. at least not in Oz.. for any manufacturer.. Holden's name be retained for Engine development. I mean there is no real manufacturing of Holden products at this point.. so what are U really gonna sell and to whom? Holden would be the one place where regional name should be retained.. just offer them straight rebadged Chevys.. including the Vette and Camaro

We'll see. I think Barra and Ammann truly see the Opel brand as a liability and drag on profits at this point, if they hadn't already. Again if they are somehow able to leverage GM Korea and GMNA vehicles better quality and convince the European people to buy their Chevy/Buick/Cadillac line-up.. then honestly it would be a win. Who knows tho? It is a gamble either way

Cubical.. please don't take offense.. or think that I was being facetious.. I just.. saw no reason for your comment regarding INTERIORS when it was obvious that HYPER was talking about suspensions.. performance. Furthermore.. I can't be the only one who has become tired with people always referencing the past when it comes to GM. Its almost like clock-work. As many a shitty car that Toyota has had over the years.. VW has produced.. BMW and Benz have created.. RECENTLY.. people still reference a GM folly going back 10.. hell 40 years. I literally got into a convo with a clown about the Cimmaron the other day.. and how that soured his taste on Cadillac. He cited them for making a small car that wasn't on level with the rest of the line up-up in 1983. 1983!!! My GF was born in 1983. She's 34 years old. Not once did he recognize that Mercedes Benz has been building a "Cimmaron" for the last 4 years. In the modern age. Anyway. Take a look at the Cruze, from last gen or this. A Malibu and Impala. Take a look at the Cadillacs.. the Vette. From top to bottom GM is putting out WORLD CLASS interior s these days. The only place I see inconsistency tho.. ironically.. and shamefully.. I guess.. is when GM decides to go head to head with vehicles costing $10Ks more. Yes.. the interior of the Corvette is not as refined as a Ferrari.. but alas.. the price.. and the performance. The CT6 is not as refined as the S-Class inside.. but again.. Of course the mags will point this out yet never take into consideration the reality of why GM maaaay have tried to "hold back here.. to offer a lil more there". As I said before.. in interiors, I truly believe the CT6 with the new upgrades, in particular the Platinum.. the only model I'd buy unless a VSeries appears.. is fully capable, at that point, of being an S-Class beater.. as the interior reeeeeeeeally is.. was.. the one place where the S550 had an edge.

I agree... but I think the biggest issue with any Cadillac interior is consistency. The CT6 is the best example. The Interior.. while certainly an 8.. could have been a 10.. if they had of been consistent with the original show car or at the very least.. the current CTS. Ironically.. the less expensive and smaller CTS has a better overall interior than the CT6. Kinda like the BMW 6Series being a more upscale place, IMO, than the 7Series before the new one bowed. Problem is that the CT6 was the newest, and the CTS was 2 years old when it arrived. I am happy to report, according to GM Authority, that the 2018 CT6 does get interior upgrades.. including the door panels being material (like the CTS) versus hard plastic and in the Platinum.. getting the.. well read below:
