August 2017: General Motors Co.
Cmicasa the Great replied to William Maley's topic in Sales Figure Ticker
Then U really haven't been in a Buick lately.. nor Chevy.. because quite frankly outside of the Mid trim level E-Class and above.. almost every Buick now goes head to head with Mercedes of a similar size if the BADGES WERE REMOVED.. some even still compete with a comparable sized Benz. The new Enclave and LaX for instance.. perhaps even the Envision. The Cascada is a very nice place to be.. and my only complaint about it is that it is a Vert only. The New Regal.. forgadaboutit... super premium.. U are simply too hung up on names to give it a second look.. but U really should get over that BS.. when we are talking about Benz these day.. we are essentially talking about a Chevy, Buick, Ford, Toyota, Lincoln, Cadillac, Lexus, Hyundai.... competitor. Seriously bro.. get on the horn with your Benz superiors.. tell they they watered down the brand the same way that Caddy did in the 90s.. and it gonna be a long road, as well, to get back to where they were in consumer's minds. Interesting.. Cadillac is on the UP.. while Benz.. is going down- 191 replies

Hold on.. I'm never one to defend a Japanese car, but have U ever driven an NSX.. in particular this NSX pictured? I did.. a few times back in my younger days back to back with the 300ZX, RX7, Supra Turbo, and my C4 LT1.. and let me tell U.. the car was no slouch. In the end scenario the engine kicked in up in the rev and was very well balanced even against my torque havin Vette and the Rotary RX7- 65 replies

Cadillac God bless them has intelligently given us VSports and Platinums as designations of vehicles that reeeeeeally shouldn't hold a purist performance designation of "V-Series." If U noticed.. I never ask for an XT5-V.. or an Escalade-V.. I call them to create an XT5-VSport etc. That name should be the one that is attached to every Cadillac. The use of the VSeries name would actually piss me off. The idea of performance being the whole of 25 AMG models means to me one thing.. Mercedes has WHORED out the AMG name to a point of pointlessness. Fuck Benz. Even BMW is better than that with the use of the "///M" offerings. An AMG GLA??? I might as well have your mom shit between two slices of bread and tell U its a brown lobster roll. Speaking of WHORING.. See Below Looking at the dimensions.. I have to say that the XT5 plays in the bath of both the GLC and GLE.. is Benz rapes its customers on price.. and U seem to love it.. just make sure they use Astroglide.. so they don't rip and tear. XT5 190″ L x 75″ W x 66″ H GLC 183-186″ L x 74″ W x 63-65″ H GLE 189-190″ L x 76″ W x 71″ H- 65 replies

August 2017: Audi of America
Cmicasa the Great replied to William Maley's topic in Sales Figure Ticker
Great point.. and GM/JDN would be wise to remember that GM has other brands for such volume. Mercedes, BMW, and Audi for that matter are handling the same duties that Cadillac/Buick/Denali.. and yes Chevy are. I can not for the life of me see why people like Smk can't see it. To suggest that even Chevy.. selling $80K Camaros based off Cadillacs and $120K supercars is just a mainstream brand is ridiculous. Buick's Envision, LaX, Cascada, and Enclave are legitimate luxo cars. Denali speaks for itself.. as being really the modern "LaSalle" brand at GM. And I actually like that fact that every stop light I pull up to doesn't feature CTSs around me.- 13 replies

Its been proven time and time again that PERFORMANCE is not just 0-60 times. The ATS even in bare 2.5L trim when it was avail was out-handling German offerings in its class with bigger motors. U really have zero grasp on what true performance is. When Cadillac had nothing but V8s in almost every vehicle I wasn't so lost in their sauce that I proclaimed them performance.. but U seem to be so smitten with Mercedes that U simply have no clue as to what the word means. As to the XT5 comment.. dude get a grip.. the XT5 is priced almost identical to the GLC.. and normally doesn't carry the discounts that Benz has lobbed on its buyers nor the cheap financing/leases He doesn't get it. in fact.. even in the 80s Cadillac was waaaaaaay more luxo than Benz. Benz didn't get its luxo chops back until the early 2000s.. at the same time GM started to bleed money to its unions.- 65 replies

Well that's pretty much the same thing. I have never seen the need for the Spark. The Sonic is a more reputable name so yeah.. Spark merges into Sonic for all intents.. but really just the development costs. I agree with the confusion. The TRAX should have been called the Sonic TRX, giving Chevy a Corolla/MAtrix type sales advantage, with 12K sales in August combined. The Bolt is probably has a strong conquest BTW.. or returning Volt owners who want to go a step further. It outsold the Model 3- 28:1 @smk4565 GM said the Lax/XTS/Impala platform is in danger due to Hamtramck being down overall this year.. the CT6 and Volt were also apart of that POSSIBILITY but they quickly pointed out that they were safe. The deal is that Hamtramck needs to build more unique products. An Omega based Impala and LAX would fit that bill.. the XTS is down for obvious reasons being the same size as the CT6 and same price as the CTS. Its an unnecessary vehicle bottom line. Impala is down because GM decided to drop fleet sales massively and quiet as its kept.. make a Malibu that is almost identical in interior volume as the larger Impala.. they are essentially the same car in terms of usable size and look a lot alike as well. The greatest thing GM could do is build an IMPALA with a 2.0L, 3.6L, and a 6.2L on RWD/AWD allowing for more amortization of Omega not to mention taking the Impala back to its roots. Chevy needs a large car. CUVs are not the answer to everyone's desires. GM would be wise not to do what they did in 1996 killing off the Roadmaster, Fleetwood, Olds Custom, and Impala/Caprice BTW.. last month GM pulled up an additional 1.6% making 18.6% Market share- 191 replies

Its a point that most arguing about Cadillac's supposed failure never seem to realize.. despite actually seeing the numbers in their effin face. IT IS CADILLAC'S FAULT for not simply rebadging the other GM line-up and pushing it out for the sake of quantity.. but it also gives us Caddy lovers and buyers the best developed sport/luxos on the market. I'm all for Alpha based CUVs and Omega based ones as well.. but would after driving an XT5 gotta say that the C1xx platform is ever bit as competent as the Q3, Q5, GLA, GLC and X3 in terms of drivability.. an Alpha or Omega would kill the X5 , GLE, and GLS in dynamics.Bet Considering the spike in gas.. and the inevitable move to EVs.. U gotta wonder if the CUV craze is gonna be like the SUV one of the late 90s.. where people eventually realized that driving a fuel efficient car was more economical than driving a fuel efficient SUV- 65 replies

LMFAO.. at your down vote with no comeback. Prove me wrong. Give me a reason other than lack of models why Audi outsells Caddy by 4800 vehicles other than the fact that they have 12 models versus Caddy's 6. WHile U're at it.. comeback on the fact that GM.. has Buick and even Denali for that matter.. How about also get back to me on Chevy.. CHEVY.. having the Impala that sells upwards of $45K.. the SS (for limited time) selling up to $55K.. the Camaro selling at upwards of $80K.. the Corvette selling upwards of $120K, Tahoe and Suburbans in the $85K.. hell U can get Equinox in the $40K range. If that isn't Audi prices I dunno what is. Don't be fooled by the names slick. GM got luxury on lock.. the Cadillac name is reviving and is icing on the cake in the coming years AT today's rates by about $1000 bucks. Get a grip slim.. Buick/Cadillac handles Audi and U just hate to see an American company in a good position over your Fatherland's cars.- 13 replies

NO.. the only thing U said that makes sense is the Sonic/Spark merger.., something I've been sayin since the Spark came out. Leave the Cruze alone. Its a sister car to the Volt. The Impala needs to stay exactly where it is just on an RWD/AWD platform basically being an AWD capable/optional "SS." Malibu sales are fine.. and it should stay exactly in the position it is, with optional AWD as well.- 191 replies

So are U implying that the majority of Audis sold in China are A6, A7 and A8? As to Cadillac models I agree.. but trying to compare the sales of Cadillac to Audi considering the model mix is as skewed as it is comparing Cadillac sales to Jag- 13 replies

Tends to happen when U build a bunch to accommodate a nationwide roll out.. go figure.. and the Texas thing happened just when gas prices started going down.. now gas is heading to $3 a gallon. Suddenly EV sale will go up again.. perhaps sub-compacts as well. People are as short-sighted as U are German lovin sell-out I pray everyday would pack up and move the fuck outta my country., Technically they are already the same car underneath.. along with the Trax and Encore..- 191 replies

Audi is outselling Cadillac ONLY.. and I mean ONLY for the reasons sitting up their in black and white for U to see. If U don't see that Audi has DOUBLE the about of nameplates that Caddy has then U are just plain effin BLIND.. or biased. If U don't see that Audi has 3 SUVs vs Caddy having 2 then your vision is worst than I thought. What makes it worse is that even with that.. AUDI only sold 4800 more units than Caddy.. with DOUBLE the line-up. BTW.. Cadillac also has Buick as a fellow GM luxo brand that helps in this argument as they handle a great deal of the lower-end that Audi has in its line-up What's Buick sell a month in China??? GM is HUGE and had been before Hitler ever started VW.- 13 replies

U Don't believe the marketing hype.. of any brand. I kno what GMC is believe me..and its hype works. Hummer vehicles as GMCs would be solid GOLD as long as they employed diesel or EV/Hybrid drive trains to kill the tree-huggers idiotic and biased bullshit.. as the same POS "green bitches" that dogged out GM for the Hummer brand under the guise of fuel economy had no problem supporting that fuck of an appliance maker known as Toyota when they were making the FJ Cruiser which had shitty fuel economy
-
What's not to get??? BUICK.. IS NOT A TRUCK COMPANY. Even with a crossover and a another one on the way.. it is not. Cadillac is not a TRUCK company... despite an SUV and it's variations and a Crossover. GMC is a TRUCK COMPANY.. and GM taking it TRULY PROFESSIONAL GRADE is the most intelligent thing I've heard of in years for the brand. The Hummer Brand was essentially what GMC should have been in a way to even more differentiate it from Chevy. Denali being the upper-level near lux version of GMC and the Hummer line being the off-road part of the Division. OR take the opportunity for GMC to actually differentiate itself even further from Chevy. Certainly U would keep the more moderate vehicles as they appeal to the mainstream buyers.. but why not merge the H2, H3, H3T, and that gorgeous Hx (H4) into the line-up of GMC calling them all the Denali trim level. Just replace the HUMMER insignia with GMC. They could still sell those vehicles looking exactly like they did when Hummer was closed.. meaning.. the Wrangler, a vehicle that has looked the same since 1941, is cool, and the H3T in new clothes would easily triumph it. Hell.. it did in it's old clothes.

@dfelt Just speaking to the idea of people doing anything less than driving 2 seaters let alone buying larger vehicles for more needy ass kids in a world where we already are on the fringe of overpopulation that is un-feedable
-
We are at 7.5 Billion. Most can not feed themselves without help. Most are crazy as fuck.. Many are as asinine as Smk. 131.4 million births per year. 55.3 million people die each year. Meaning even with death.. we are adding about 76 Million on to the roster every year at this rate.. another Billion by 2027 As I said many times over and over again.. the Gov't of the world want to prevent wars.. famine.. inflation.. etc??? put a stop on baby births for 7 years... get this population back down to 5 Billion.. Life will be grand. FUCK BABIES!!! They SUCK. The don't do shit. Needy MUTHAFUCKAS

BMW News: 2018 BMW M5 Arrives with 600 Horsepower, AWD
Cmicasa the Great replied to William Maley's topic in BMW
I'll keep my V.. more HP, better top speed by a whopping 45mph or even 11 mph vs the Black Edition.. and looks better to boot. The only disadvantage U see is that I don't have AWD.. which is a non-issue considering I would never drive my super-clean $$$ luxo sedan in the rain or snow anyway. If 0-60 is the goal.. then they do have me beat by about 3/10s, which is the only reason why I could see Caddy putting the CT6's AWD system (capable of handling up to 958 lbs of torque) in the upcoming CT5. Wow.. imagine a 640/630lb CTS-V with that variable AWD system... 0-60 would be in the 2s easy. With the new platform tech learned over at the Omega development.. weight should be significantly lower than the 4100 I'm at now. -
Jeep News: Great Wall Motor Says They're Interested in Buying Jeep
Cmicasa the Great replied to William Maley's topic in Jeep
I knu how this thread wold go the moment I clicked on it... and of course the FCA lover would make excuses and try and make irrelevant comparisons.. Hey Stew.. The Ram goes up against more than just the Sierra.. I'd say that the Silverado is also its competition.. and combined they are out in from by about 130K.. PLUS.. another 80K with their 7/8s Canyon and Colorado versions.. So what was your point? Anyone saying that FCA would be fucked.. if they got rid of Jeep.. is 100% correct.. and the only saving grace for FCA would be for them to MERGE WITH Great Wall.. giving both companies a better outlook. Personally I would like to see GM or Ford step in to get some of that "Chrysler pussy.." God knows every other car company has gotten to hit that ass the WHORE that it is.. might as well give that ass up to an American company for a change.- 25 replies

My point was that the CHEVY VOLT is a CHEVY CRUZE with a different name. There is zero reason to offer a CHEVY CRUZE HYBRID as long as there is a CHEVY VOLT.. which should have been just called a CHEVY CRUZE HYBRID in the first place and marketed as heavy as the Volt was back in 2010 onward- 21 replies

Quiet as it's kept... they do. I'm actually surprised they didn't call the Camaro SS, the Chevy 378ci or something IMO.. its a prime reason why some of their cars suffer in sales numbers. The Trax should have never been called the Trax.. when it is a taller version of the Sonic. A Sonic TRX would have been more appropriate.. and would offer a better sales marketing boast to the Sonic overall. Shit.. I would have called the Spark the Sonic Mini..- 21 replies
