Amazing the clownish BS arises again. No offense to those complaining about the spoiller.. but I highly doubt that U are the target for the ZR1. I say that with the utmost respect too. The Spoiler is, like other iterations of it, incorporated to HELP exact 950lbs of DOWNFORCE on the car at higher speeds and in track conditions. Anyone who has driven a car like this above 170, let alone 210+, will tell U that at a certain point.. your ass becomes insanely LITE. That is absolutely no good at that speed for various reasons. I'm still researching the fuel system, but they aren't planning on running into any first year Z06 cooling issues it seems

Love the power.. but I'm sitting this one out til the Mid-Engine arrives. IF anything I would get a used Z06. 755HP is awesome.. but in the wrong hands WOW. The Demon for instance will kill someone I guarantee within weeks of it hitting the market. I believe that this having 755HP is essentially the equivalent of the Dodge in the fact that this is 1000lbs lighter and has GM engineering

Shit never makes it off the lot when I buy one.. First thing I tell them before I sign paper #1 is I want to see the car before I sign to make sure that not only is the BS removed.. but there was no damage done when U removed it.. Fuck I look like giving U free advertising after just PAY U for the car? @Drew Dowdell Yeah. I agree. The new rear looks much more BOSS. And this is the FWD based car. I'm really looking forward to seeing what the Black looks like on a revised CT6.- 58 replies

Chevrolet News:Corvette ZR1 Leaks Out, Debuting In Dubai

I'm not even completely confident the 750HP (I wouldn't be surprised if its more) number let alone the rest of the articles. The REVEAL will answer all questions.. and my comment above was speculation. The car is gonna be on point nonetheless. THIS!!!- 57 replies

Chevrolet News:Corvette ZR1 Leaks Out, Debuting In Dubai
Cmicasa the Great replied to William Maley's topic in Chevrolet
I will wait and see.. but various things could have been improved on this car to the point that any worry is moot. Hell the recent $350 Improved Magnetic Ride Calibrations that can be done at the dealership on the Z51 and Z06 are said to have improved times dramatically. I will also bring up that suspension tuning overall for this car are goin to be dialed to 15 vs the Z06 being 10. Also.. the reading shows WHY they decided to go with a OHV engine over a OHC. Simple styling of the exterior. Personally I see zero reason why they need to go OHC in this generation anyway. The Mid-Engine version can accommodate, but the visibility would be compromised looking out of the windshield if the HUMP were too big. and this is HUGE (screen shot below). If U've ever driven a C7 Z06 this sounds like its gonna require new training. Seriously in the Z06 and CTS-V (haven't driven the new ZL1) that 640-650 is all the way there.. it will get U if U don't massage it proper like.. and send U literally in the other direction.. even at 70 MPH already (believe me.. I almost pissed myself in both)- 57 replies

I don't kno.. Cadillac's art and science, Chevy, Buick.. truly has metamorphosed.. as has Nissan's look. Toyota is the wrong example to use. They are the epitome of SAFE That's nuts. Maybe they will as CUBIC said be simulated.. or only be at quick contained spurts. Me? What the fuck is the point?- 57 replies

Who cares what SMK says.. I am on the line as saying that this car will hit the 750HP mark.. and BLOW ALL HIS BS AWAY Stolen from a dude at Corvette Forum who read the C&D article: Here is the info on the new Corvette!- Starting price expected to be around $120k- 7 speed manual and 8 speed automatic- 1/2" wider than Z06 front wheels- Mag Ride standard- Carbon Ceramic Brakes- 750hp/680 lb-ft LT5 (6.2L, pushrod V8, Eaton supercharger)- Supercharger produces 52% more air per RPM than the Z06 blower, also 2.9" taller. - Because of the hood height, car can not be sold in Europe - Tadge claims the ZR1 can shoot flames out from its exhaust - NEW fuel delivery system- BOTH PORT INJECTION AND DIRECT INJECTION - sub 3 second 0-60, sub 11 second 1/4 mile, 210+ mph top speed- 4 additional heat exchangers (comparing to Z06) in the nose- Curb weight 3664 lbs, 140 lbs over Z06- Several aero packages available, RPO "ZTK" as shown in magazine. Wing has 10 degrees of adjustability, contributing to 500 lbs of downforce at speed. - Wing is attached behind the hatch and spreads the load to the bumper beam.- Removable top- 2.5 seconds faster around VIR than Z06- 57 replies

It really boils down to how long it takes Lincoln to establish itself again in the segment as the leader.. in PEOPLE'S minds and how long it takes Cadillac to counter in changes. To me the Escalade is still stylistically the better looking.. Perception-ally the better vehicle. but the fact that Ford BLATANTLY bought an Escalade.. improved on its interior and drivetrain hands down.. is what's bringing in the positive notions. GM and Caddy need to counter in 2018.. not the 2019 redesign. We are talking about a 30HP difference and a 40 lb-ft difference in torque.. when GM has the engines to counter this easily... without really even hurting fuel economy if its calibrated properly with the 10speed. Keep in mind that the Fuel economy advantage that the Lincoln has is probably due to the extra two gears that it has from a Tranny that GM and Ford developed together. Cadillac doesn't even need to do anything other than pop out a VSPORT edition with a supercharged EcoTec 3. 520HP and 515 lb-ft just like that

Really are we arguing the difference between a hatch, a lift back, and a small CUV? Dudes.. really.. there are limitations, or innovations.. in styling and engineering that create difficulties in pinpointing a particular segment. The Bolt is selling very nice for a $35K EV that has limited infrastructure, not to mention understanding in its quest for sales. Is it a CUV? yes.. Is it a Hatch? Yes. I bet good money that similar debates were had BEFORE the term "CUV" was invented... or even SUV. Remember people still call the Tahoe a "TRUCK.." and the CR-V an "SUV." New terms will come.. then they have to stick. I mean technically.. TECHNICALLY.. my Corvette is a damn Hatchback too- 58 replies

Not...not necessarily. And make no mistake.. I love the Bolt.. but I still believe until the infrastructure is truly in place.. the Volt(CT6 Hybrid), and VOLTECH is a better choice for an every day car for those who commute and live in apts. I do believe that the Volt should have an option to be BOLTECH, just like I think the Malibu Hybrid should have a Plug option too- 58 replies

At this point.. Tesla is essentially the Tucker of the modern era.. except being bolstered by Paypal billions or something like that. It is a company that should have been usurped by larger organizations, but it is a true depiction of just how SLOW and decadent so many of THEM are to not have already done away with a need for Tesla.. as company that for all intents and purposes serves the same amount of people and market share as a SINGLE.. GM, TOYOTA, or FORD niche division. Currently.. as of Oct.. Chevy rules the EV chart with the Bolt outselling the Model S by almost 3:1, and outselling the Model S and X combined by almost 800 units. Imagine if Chevy were to simply offer the Bolt in two or three more configs.. or I dunno.. gave Buick, Caddy and GMC some of the tech and allowed consumers to have more choices in different demographic sectors.

But do the Auto Companies have as powerful a lobby as the Oil Companies. Oil companies just won't see their livelihood die without a fight. I'm surprised gas isn't down to $1.50 right now.. Even more to the point is that they need to be transitioning over to something else.. as it is estimated that the earth has enough oil left for about 50 more years at current production levels. Electric.. or something else.. is the way of the future

Saab, like Saturn, was always a NICHE brand.. a hobby for GM after the acquisition/creation in '90. It was redundant too and GM should have gotten rid of them or went full in.. waaay before.. and I loved Saab and Saturn, but there were always brands within that could have done the same things better. Saturn was created to deter people from buying Asian makes.. No one thought at the time.. "why not just use all this money, billions, to make better Chevys, Buicks, Pontiacs, Caddys, and GMCs?" Saab on the other hand had a decent business in Europe. .and along with Opel/Vaux gave GM a nice foothold in Europe- 58 replies

I am of the opinion that the new LaX is worlds better looking than the FIRST gen.. but not as sexy as the previous. The crazy part about that is that it really reminds me of the Impala.. in so many ways, yet still lacks the pizzazz of the Chevy. The Impala is a luxury car. It looks luxury.. and for the money, in terms of looks, it triumphs over or equals everything in the large FWD category before U get to actual bonafide luxo cars. The LaX is beautiful too.. and has more features than the Impala.. but looks like it is a watered down version of it. The previous model was unique.. and played heavy on the INVICTA concept that came before it. Another thing is that GM.. like so many times before.. had the world salivating over a concept.. this time the Avenir.. and then gave us a "everyday car." If GM would release just the Concepts from the last 5 years: Avenir, Avista, Riviera, El Miraj, Ciel, Escala... they would instantly be in charge of all of Luxury Cardom- 58 replies

I am of a different opinion on that one. I thinking that GM/Buick may have just pulled a heck of a smart move with the SportBack and TourX. It would seem that Buick is essentially taking some of Saab's configs and making it their own (Finally).. while at the same time yanking a bunch of configs from Subaru. Encore (9-2), Envision (9-4), Enclave (9-7), Regal TourX (Sportcombi anyone?), SportBack (9-3), Lacrosse (9-5), and Cascada (9-3 Vert) .. then the upcoming EV CUV based on the Bolt. Almost all now in AWD configs- 58 replies

I agree. GM really should go all in on the Bolt's lead at this point. Bring it to Tesla via Chevy and Buick... onward to Caddy. JDN already said Cadillac will have an Electric out in a year. Buick is the next one to get an EV.. and its a Bolt based CUV. A Malibu that skips the Hybrid.. and goes straight to EV would put Tesla on the truck. A Buick Regal EV would "CRASH that truck" and send it up in smoke with the Tesla.. LOL.. again in flames. BTW.. do a search and U will see that the new REGAL is not being sold yet so that comment is pointless. speaking of Tesla... http://www.autonews.com reports that they: Tesla posts record $671 million loss in Q3 Tesla posted a $671 million loss for the third quarter -- dropping from a $22 million net profit a year earlier -- as the electric-vehicle maker continued to struggle producing the mass-market Model 3.- 58 replies

I wouldn't doubt that the Nox and Bolt stole some of its sales. In truth.. the Bolt is a bonafide hit at this point.. and the the Equinox has been since 2010- 58 replies
