  1. Baltimore is actually nicer than DC is. Sure, it doesn't have all of the monuments and reflecting pools, and federal buildings, but DC doesn't have the Inner Harbor.
  2. How about a 1996 Oldsmobile Cutlass Supreme SL Convertible with the 3.4L V6 and leather interior, and a 1980s El Camino SS/Conquista V8?
  3. Looks like the Avalon isn't Toyota's only 'problem car' anymore...
  4. Pathfinder, hands down. Only thing the Durango really has going for it it the Hemi.
  5. I can get a navigation system for $2K. Why should Honda expect me to pay that much for a $500ish a/c system?
  6. GM shouldn't be able to bring back Geo until they bring back Oldsmobile. I don't think that it's smart to introduce another brand-by-GM until they're on more stable financial ground.
  7. My friend's Sienna. The plastic feels oily, even though the car gets cleaned every week, how little headroom there is in the car, how annoying the engine sounds when getting ready to upshift, how narrow the isle between the 2nd row seats is, and that the windows in the sliding doors don't even open. If it counts, how the stray rock from a dump truck's tires makes a perfect arc over the Toyota and Acura in front of me and cracks my windsheild.
  8. I hope GM does this. Only 2 things missing though: 1) A crossover SUV. RWD or not, Pontiac could do well here if it gets the Torrent right 2) Real names, not the quasi-Lexus/BMW alphanumeric stuff. Names like Bonneville, Grand Prix, Firebird/Firehawk, Tempest, and so on... I kind of like the idea of Pontiac being a poor-man's BMW. I think that Pontiac could pull this off.
  9. Does Chrysler not want to be the leader of the minivan segment anymore? I thought my mom's Venture has an ugly interior, but this one takes the cake! I have never seen the air vents inbetween the radio and climate control dials before. All they have to do is shrink the vents (which look very familiar, btw) and put them on top of the dash, and I think it would look 100% better.
  10. They're both great cars, but if I'm going to spend this kind of money on a car, it had better have a V8 in it. So I'd have to say Corvette, but the Cayman wouldn't be too far behind-I've got a soft spot for hearing a six-cylinder being wound up. I think the Vette looks better (just a little), and if I recall correctly, it's also cheaper. Maybe with the left over money, I could lease a Cayman...
  11. Yuck...I'm just beginning to warm up to the current Accord and they show this. Looks too much like a Civic for my tastes. I do like the roofline, though.
  12. Until the Equinox gets a truly competitive engine as standard (3.9 w/AFM or even the 3.5), an SS model should be off limits. The 3.4 isn't bad-My mom's Venture has one. It's a good engine, but when loaded down, you can tell it's working hard to keep up to speed. It also doesn't look as good on paper as say the RAV4 V6 or even the Escape V6.
  13. I wouldn't mind if the Statesman came stateside, it's a great looking car, but it can leave its name in Australia. I like Park Avenue. Or Roadmaster.
  14. Don't worry, none was taken. I call it a Chevy half the time anyway, since more people know what an S-10 is around here. Take your time, no rush.
  15. Audi Quattro? Volvo V70 convertable?
  16. Nothing is planned for Memorial Day (maybe go to the grandparents outside of Ocean City). Summer, however, should be very nice. Plans are in the works to go to Charleston SC to visit my sister. Beautiful city...especially the Battery Park area.
