  1. Ad #1 and ad #3 sound good. #4's not as good.
  2. I like the wood and the leather dash a lot, but I'm not sold on the color of the leather. Aside from that, the DTS looks beautiful as usual.
  3. The leather dash would have been really nice to see here...but it still looks great!
  4. The Centieme looks fat and ugly next to the Enclave. Minor preference quibbles aside...the production Enclave is still great.
  5. It's...ok, I guess. The interior's nice, but the exterior's odd. And the rear is just ugly.
  6. Nice catch, NOS. The clear taillamps are beginning to grow on me. They're not as bad as I thought they were.
  7. Mmmm...the Caprice SS is hot.
  8. A Lambda SUV with sliding doors does not make a minivan, IMO. I don't want to see GM to leave this market, if nothing else because I don't like thinking that the Venture was their best effort. Sure, it's not completely terrible, but there are many areas that could use improvements. I'd rather see GM make a killer minivan and sell very few than just see them give up completely.
  9. Yeah, Warren's light on GM. But, he's also light on Toyota-he gave the Echo a good review and said that the Avalon was moderately attractive. But I haven't seen him rave like this over something in a while (and I read his columns every Sunday).
  10. An Executive and Crossover With Oomph Very positive.
  11. Congrats on the job, a_r05 My first job was the secretary @ my parents' office. The old secretary decided to go back to school just as my school year ended. They really needed someone to fill in, and I figured $8/hr. to sit around, answer phones, and type stuff was better than sitting around at home for 10 weeks.
  12. I used to be awful to shop for at Christmas time. I'd draft lists that were 50 items long, some with parts a, b, and c. I'd color-code and prioritize them to show my parents exactly what I wanted, and in what order. Now, all I ask for is money. Money lets me get what I want without going through parental unit approval.
  13. Yesterday was great, but waaay too short. We had a smaller than usual gathering of me, my parents, my brother, and my aunt, uncle, and 2 cousins. Dinner wasn't as big as I'm used to seeing (what we usually do is go to my other aunt's house in Burtonsville and her 15' table is loaded to the breaking point with food), but it was still good. My aunt made an amazing stuffing and a delicious cherry pie, and my mom brought her wonderful sweet potatoes. I even tried broccoli w/chese, which I found to be rather unpleasant. And they got left with all of the left-overs, so no turkey sandwiches for me . After dinner and desert, I sat and watched my cousin play Test Drive: Unlimited and Gears of War on his Xbox 360 and we talked sporadically about stuff for about 5 hours. Then we watched "I Shouldn't Be Alive" on the Discovery Channel for 3-ish hours and went to bed. Leaving today sucked, since we hardly ever see them and I like the Harrisburg area many times better than the DC metro area. The trip up there wasn't bad. But I wanted to kill PennDOT for what they're doing in York. The interchange between I-83 and Business 83 is being upgraded, and I-83's being rerouted, repaved, and improved as well. So PennDOT drops the speed limit through the south end and a bit of the middle (up to US-30) of York to 45. It figures I'm the only one that even tried to follow the limit-everyone else's doing like 70 while I'm trying not to go faster than 50. Past the US-30 interchange, the speed limit got raised to a more sane 55. The state troopers were out in force, too-7 of them pulled a Kia Sepha over. And it misted most of the way up, which made some nasty roadspray. I was happy when we got off I-83 to go through Lemoyne. Rain and low speed limits aside, yesterday was very good, and I'm sad it's over and I'm home again.
  14. If I had to pick one engine, I'd say either an Olds Rocket V8 or BMW's S54-B32 inline 6. But our 350 Chevy SBC, the Northstar, the LS family, the Atlas LL8, Vortec V6, and R-R's RB211 aren't far behind.
  15. The Grand Caravan SXT rental we had over the summer was great. I hope Chrysler doesn't mess that up.
  16. GM, I think this is an enormous mistake pulling out of this market. Minivans aren't the most attractive cars on the road, nor are they the most fun things to drive, but there's not much that can beat their flexibility or versatility. There is a reason (actually, there are a few) why we bought our Venture over a Trailblazer or Tahoe/Suburban.
  17. Mmmm...nice! And on a side note, the Executive L wouldn't look so bad if the front door was extended as well. The back-door only stretch looks bad.
