  2. There are a few stand-outs, IMO: 1) Toyota Tundra--it's the truck that's supposed to spell doomsday for Detroit, even though it's predecessors have failed. 2) Toyota Camry--the official car of the boring person 3) Lexus LS430--the most boring, unexciting, uninspiring, unspirited, souless $70K car I've ever ridden in 4) Mazda CX-7--the fat, saggy, unpleasant-looking cousin to the Ford Edge that I never wanted to see coming 5) Ferarri 599--sure it has the Enzo's engine, but it's ugly. 6) Kia Amanti--Korea's first attempt at entry-level luxury, wrapped in an oh-so-mediocre package which strongly resembled a Mercedes E-Class. 7) Hyundai Azera--Korea's 2nd attempt at entry-level luxury, complete with fat hips and an unsightly rear. The other 3 are in the air.
  3. I got what I asked for-my parents' to pay for my driver's ed classes and some money. They also gave me a bucket, some Mr. Clean Windshield Wash & De-Icer, a chenille car-washing mitt, printer ink, the Catchphrase game, and some candy. They also bought the family a new computer (a rather good one at that, a Dimension 9200 w/19" flat panel). The rest of my family gave me gift cards and money, all of which will be put to good use.
  4. We finished shopping for my mom today. We got her a white gold necklace with an opal pendant, a white gold bracelet w/diamonds (18kt gold and rather small diamonds, though), some 18kt gold earrings w/synthetic rubies in them, and one of those digital photo frames. The parking lot at Kohl's was a zoo today, but I don't even want to think about what kind of nightmare it'll be tomorrow...
  5. In May, we began planning a trip to see my sister and my soon-to-be brother-in-law in Charleston...but events in my dad's branch of the family that occurred in October (they actually began way before I was born, but only really've began to affect us in October, and still are occurring) have f'ed that plan. We don't even have a tree this year. We've been on tenterhooks up until yesterday whether or not we'd go and see my dad's parents in Delaware, but that plan fell through, too, partly because of the ongoing issues. So we're now scheduled to go to my cousins' house (mom's side) in Silver Spring for brunch. I'm definitely irked that we're not going somewhere warm for a change, but I never complain to see my cousins' kids. It also helps that a lot of people that will be there are great cooks, like my cousin's mom, who makes killer egg rolls (she's Japanese), and my aunt's peach cobbler. Edit: Merry Christmas everyone!
  6. Dollar and Enterprise probably aren't pleased with this...
  7. Red X's still afflict my computer, but I saw it briefly earlier today on our other desktop...looks snazzy! I'm gonna fiddle with the skins later on tonite. Thanks Z!
  8. Ugh...still nothing I'd rather have over a Cadillac/Audi/BMW. Try again, Lincoln.
  9. Affordable: GTO, preferrably '05+ no strings: I couldn't make up my mind, though I'd start by looking at a '68 Eldorado.
  10. I want Chrysler to get these vans right. I really do. But the more things I see come out of Auburn Hills, the less confident I am in believing they are capable of doing that. If I were a betting man, I'd wager that they'd either be an eyesore (Sebring, Compass), a 300 with sliding doors, or something thoroughly mediocre at best (Durango, Aspen, Commander, Avenger, Caliber, Dakota, etc...). Prove me wrong, Chrysler.
  11. It's ok...the idea's cool, it's just that I'm not exactly fond of M-B's recent styling.
  12. World Car Fans I see the interior still suffers from the same boring design other BMWs do...but it has the new X5's shifter.
  13. I'm partial to this one, myself. I saw a 442 in Ocean City w/PA plates that read "UR2SLOW"
  14. People thought this was a Fairlane? To me, it was down to a Cube or some type of Honda. Some design aspects on this remind me of some on the Ridgeline.
