  1. Bland/boring/otherwise unattractive styling. To hell with squishy dash plastics, cupholder-counting contests, rear hip room, etc. If it looks bad on the outside, I don't want it. I also don't want a wheezy, blender-sounding engine, which is the main reason I couldn't bring myself to buy a 4-cylinder when a V6 is available (unless it's a Honda V6...they leave something to be desired, IMO). And it must retain the new car smell long enough for me to enjoy it.
  2. 90% ground-round from the local Pennsylvania-Dutch Farmer's Market...smells heavenly on the grill. Cooked medium, 1 slice American cheese, ketchup, 1 piece of lettuce, 1 slice of tomato, 1 small piece of onion. Bacon's always welcome, but it's seldom put on the table. Usually white Wonder bread, but a potato or sesame bun is preferred.
  3. More suspense...ugh. Hopefully, this is the first shot of something good coming GMNA's way.
  4. May 2007 be (much) better for us and the General.
  5. Final sightings of 2006: Final 500 Aurora I got to put an '07 Tahoe LTZ under the knife the other day at the local Chevy/Buick/Pontiac/GMC/Isuzu/Mitsubishi dealer...fantastic SUV. Only drawback was the price...for $49,350, I'd keep saving for an Escalade w/the 22" rims. I also got to sit in a Brazen Orange '06 GTO...it was easily the best passenger car from GM I've been in in recent memory...blew the '07 Impala LS my parents' company bought my grandparents right out of the water.
  6. Eh...I still think of it as the Chevrolet Epica by Chrysler (Sebring-esque front). The interior looks nice, but our Malibu is waaaaay better.
  7. It looks good in spite of the odd angles.
  8. Staying home to watch the ball drop. We might have gone down to my grandparents' in DE...but family issues are preventing that (or any travel, for that matter). But it's ok this time, because I can continue with my tradition of drinking a glass of wine (diluted w/ice, not big on the taste) to remind myself that I've endured worse this year, and that I will continue to endure worse next year. Only hitch is, the wine my mom got this year is rather good, so I might have 2 glasses (or go crazy and have 3), which sort of defeats the purpose. At any rate, Happy New Year y'all! Here's to hoping it's better for us and the General!
  9. There was a point where they were like the 17-year cicadas--swarms everywhere. They (thankfully) aren't as numerous as they once were, although there is the occasional straggler (usually in that nasty red-brown color). I applaud Toyota for designing a stand-out vehicle...it's just unbearably hideous.
  10. :rotflmao: That was amazing, Fly... I like the Viper. It's basically everything that Fly said it was, which is like I said, part of the Viper's charm. There really isn't anything like it out there, although the Corvette comes close in terms of power. The Viper is like using a slegehammer to kill a fly, while the Corvette is like using a rubber mallet for the same task. They both get the job done.
  11. Camino, if I had the money, I'd buy your GTO in a heartbeat. But I couldn't swing the payments (unless you take $1200 for it, I could do that). Maybe in a year or so after I find a job. Whatever happens, good luck to you, sir. You're a lucky guy for getting to know those cars.
  12. Well...it is a Chevrolet car after all...maybe that's why I put it there. On the subject of MT's Impy: I hope it looks better.
  13. I like it a lot...and that is a truly wonderful red. Only gripe is that the cashmere/titanium interior color combo's a little dull-looking.
  14. It sounds like a cross between an R-Class and a CLS...and I'm not sure if that sounds good.

  16. Don't forget the CompAss! The Trailhawk's pretty cool. It's actually really nice. But the Nassau...the sketches looked so good, what happened? And who thought that a hatch would look good here?
  17. It looks good on the outside, but the Grand Caravan we rented had the same stereo and climate controls, if not better ones. I guess that's part of the Viper's "charm." It might have more power than the Z06, but I think the 'Vette SS will fix that.
