  1. No pics ocn!
  2. Sorry Turbo, but I completely disagree with you about Buick & Golf. Buick has roughly 50 years history with the PGA. There's a lot of money wrapped up in Golf and ANY LUXURY BRAND would die to have Buick's advertising position in the sport. Golf fans and players are young & old alike. Golf isn't dying. It has millions of fans nationally and globally. Buick would be insane to dump all of its heritage and endorsements for Golf during its turnaround. Can you provide any proof that Golf advertising does nothing for Buick?

  5. I still want Toni's Vectra-based Buick here... as a Buick. Let Saturn have the Astra.
  6. Congrats! Yes... Definitely pics!
  7. I actually agree... I've been an advocate for the Terraza from the beginning. If any GM brand should have a Town-n-Country competitor, it should be Buick. And yes, it's selling better than expected.
  8. Last reported Chevrolet and GMC will receive the Lambda minivans... Saturn's Relay replacement was cancelled. And no... it would not be the death of GMC... the minivan may not sell great, but it wouldn't hurt GMC. It's also the only way to provide Buick-Pontiac-GMC dealers with a minivan without hurting Buick or Pontiac's image.
  9. Not sure if it's correct, but I've always said "E-Co-Tech"

  11. My theory, the Super w/V8 will only serve as a 'shot in the arm' for the current LaCrosse as competition becomes overwhelming. The trim may stay around for the NG LaCrosse (as reported earlier that Buick is considering "Reserve" and "Super" trim levels), but it will probably use a high-performance version of the 3.6l V6. I doubt EPSII is being engineered to accommodate any V8.
  12. GM has already announced that all GM cars and trucks will have ABS, Traction Control, & Stability Control standard by 2010. It's only a matter of time. Yes, It's taking awhile... but GM will have that taken care of within the next 3 years.
  13. I actually think the GTP coupe with two-tone interior will now be a great option to competitors. Especially if it retains the $23,490 base price. Remember, Solara hasn't been updated yet, and the Honda still only has a 5-spd.
  14. Happy B-Day Walt!
  15. I knew what you meant... but I just stated what I did for those who might have not known.
  16. A MY2010 vehicle can debut anytime... it just can't go on sale anytime before January 1st 2009. So I suspect the 2010 will debut in 2008 and go on sale in early 2009.
  17. That's what I wanted to verify. So the LaCrosse will more than likely have an early and short MY2009 run in 2008 before production ends. The MY2010 LaCrosse will probably debut sometime in 2008 and go on sale early in 2009. It looks like we'll be seeing the next-gen LaCrosse debut in 2 years or so at one of the autoshows (most likely Chicago). Sounds good to me.
  18. The current Altima offers it: The preview pics don't show if the 07 does or doesn't... But I do agree it would be smart not to offer it. I just don't think it would look any metter in the 07 than it did in the current gen. Nissans just don't look very good with wood trim.
  19. Oops... sorry about that northstar. Thanks for posting this!
  20. Look under Color and Trim - page 11 XE grey interiors come standard with Silver Metallic Trim XE tan interiors come with Wood XR black interiors come with Silver Metallic Trim (Wood available) XR Morocco Brown interior comes with Wood.

  22. In another topic, you mentioned the Aura would be replaced in 2010 on EpsII also. So, you're saying that the LaCrosse and Aura will be replaced at the same time? I've always been under the impression that the LaCrosse would last 4 years instead of 5. Isn't Oshawa supposed to end W-Platform production in 2008? If so, then a 2009 LaCrosse (CY or MY) on EpsII seems the most likely. I may have missed a topic or two.
  23. Do we know if they already plan to offer aluminum-like trim on the Aura? I don't really disagree with any of the suggestions here, especially the piano black finish on the controls. I think it's an excellent styling trait for Saturn to adopt. However, I wouldn't go as far as putting it around the center air vents. I think that would distract too much from the flow of the interior and look tacky. It looks better with the air vents blending in with the top of the dash. I'm not entirely against the wood trim being available. I want to see how it looks in person... As for 'fit-n-finish' comments, don't forget this is a pre-production vehicle. just my :twocents:
  24. Do you understand what competitive means? It's a good alternative... Beside that, the RAV4 was just remodeled this year to catch-up to where the VUE already was. The VUE had a 5-sp auto and 250hp V6 back in 2004. How do you account for Toyota still using a 4-sp auto in the 4-Cyl models... isn't that the same corporate blunder that's supposedly going to destroy the Saturn Aura's chances? Let alone that all Scions have 4-spds also. There are very few "cute utes" on the market right now that are comparable to the VUE... the RAV4 is one of them... but the RAV4 is not "head over heels" better than the VUE, nor does it make the VUE look "6 years old." None of the other compact "cute-utes" come close to offering the same well rounded package that either of them provide... and this isn't a small segment either.
  25. Malibu will be on Epsilon II. LaCrosse will be on Epsilon II also. Epsilon II will be big enough.
