  1. No... it's out of GM's 2007 Car & Truck guide. That's the real thing. http://www.gmfleet.com/gmfleetjsp/us/acqui...truck_guide.pdf Go to page 63
  2. I like it! Looks much better... Looks somewhat similar (not identical) to the BLS interior.
  3. I'm going to miss the Rendezvous name and vehicle... It's reasonably priced, had style inside and out, and did everything a typical buyer was looking for. I just hope the Enclave isn't too expensive... Buick really needs a reasonably priced compact Rendezvous if the Enclave is going in the $40k range.
  4. yeah... I think an H4 - Truck/Wrangler/2-door SUV combo would be perfect.
  5. I don't think speaking was possible at the time
  6. I just want HUMMER to come out with a Wrangler/CJ/FJ Cruiser competitor...
  7. cool... you caught it!
  8. WWWWOOOOWW! That's Red! Looks Great! Congrats!
  9. You know... I just don't have a problem with hummers coming in different shapes and sizes. Bring it on.
  10. I've mentioned it a few times before... Seattle & the Eastside no longer have local Mitsubishi dealers. There are a few in suburbs but the closest one is 15+ miles away. Mitsubishi has lost the Seattle market entirely IMO.

    ....

I'm not a truck person, but I think it looks great. I also like the flared fenders. It looks 100% Chevrolet. I'm also pleased that it does not look like the Tahoe. I think GM has finally realized they have the unique ability to build two different trucks while attacking the same market. This new Silverado allows a lot more breathing room for the Sierra to have its own identity. The new Tundra interior wins no kudos from me. I suspect the Silverado's & Sierra's interior to be the class leaders. Don't forget, the aftermarket/customization for Chevrolet & GMC trucks are huge... you can pretty much make them "your own" regardless of the stock product styling.
  12. looks good! I agree... get rid of the Gold Package... it's sooooo 90's...
  13. Thanks for the heads up! Awesome news!

    Pictures!

Damn... and I thought this topic died... I missed a lot!
  16. I have to agree with Delta. The Solara interior is the only Toyota interior that I like. The exteriors, old and new, aren't appealing.
  17. Ocn, don't let them. I fear they'll just euthanize them.
  18. Did you check out OakLawn/CedarSprings? Thankfully, that community seems to have weathered every transformation that Dallas has made over the past several years. If you haven’t stayed at The Melrose Hotel on Oaklawn, it’s a “must do” and is very convenient to the local nightlife on CedarSprings & Downtown. West End is evolving to compliment the upcoming Victory Park neighborhood. If you go to the web page and look at the location map & master plan, you'll see that Victory Park is 75 acres of mixed-use development directly north of West End. The "West End Marketplace" retail building has finally closed. The Dallas Morning News had an article about it on 6.6.06. With The revitalized Arts District to the east & Victory Park to the north, I believe West End will recover once all the surrounding construction is completed. Uptown, in general, will become a major destination for Dallas. Deep Ellum has been seedy for as long as I can remember. It won't truly become what it aspires to be until Fair Park is completely renovated (including the Cotton Bowl)... but Deep Ellum, Lower Greenville, & Fair Park all have a collective fate. The entire area's current condition is mostly to blame on the City of Dallas. The city owns and continues to buy up property on both sides of Haskell Ave in preparation to expand it and create a major artery from Downtown/Uptown to Eastern Dallas & Mesquite. Driving down Haskell during the day makes you want to lock the doors, but nothing to fear because Dallas owns most of the dilapidated buildings. The DART Light Rail will assist with the area's rejuvenation once service starts in 2010 along Robert B. Collum Dr/ Scyene Rd. This 2 page article discusses the Southeast Corridor project and how it is to impact some of the Fair Park area. I haven't been able to stay abreast of the entire area's different projects. Several facets of the area's development seem to have dropped off the radar until Dallas comes up with a complete vision like the other mentioned neighborhoods. A map of Dart Transit & Rail system is located here... Dart Homepage is http://www.ridedart.org or just http://www.dart.org I completely spaced on the Trinity River Corridor Project. It's massive and mind boggling. It's going to create the largest Urban Park in America, dwarfing New York City's Central Park, while expanding the Tollway and allow direct access to Dallas' Great Trinity Forest just south of Downtown. I received a Master Report on it in 2004 and it was absolutely amazing. Although I doubt everything will materialize (see the aforementioned comment about Dallas' City Council), I have faith most will come to pass. The Trinity Bridges alone will change the Dallas skyline for all time. See, I'm not all about Buick. I have other interests. I want to eventually transition from a career in technology to some role of City Development or Planning. It will take years, but it's far more interesting.
  19. Maybe you need to reinstall Java? Delete/uninstall it and then try to redownload it. http://java.sun.com/products/archive/ Look under: Java 2 Platform Standard Edition (J2SE) JDK/JRE - 5.0 You'll want the JRE "5.0 update 6" I'm currently running JRE 1.5.0_06 and chat works fine... I recommend performing the offline installation. It will take longer, but usually works without complications. If you still have a problem, try it in IE. You may need to activate Sun Java under Internet Options: Tools> Internet Options> Advanced tab> Scroll down to 'Java Sun' heading> Check the box for "1.5.0_06"> click 'OK'> then restart your computer
  20. I know I'm really late to the game in this topic, but how is an STS-L in China possible? I thought Sigma was stretched to its limit with the current STS?
  21. Dallas
  22. I'm looking forward to "Cars" myself, but I was disappointed with Ice Age 2. It was too predictable. After 15 minutes, you really knew the story and how it ended. The dialog was thin at best. The first one was much better. Do I regret seeing #2? No, but for the same team to live through an entire Ice Age… it was hard to swallow. (no jokes Satty )
  23. carman21 - I'd say Terraza more than anything. The CSVs have been notorious for assembly problems. The Rendezvous has been out for years while Buick has continued to increase in scoring... until now. GM needs to drop the CSVs as quick as possible for the Lambda replacements.
