  1. BTW... Thanks Balthazar! How come it's listed as a "Town Sedan" in 62 and then PA in 63 if PA was from 62-63? Was there a car the PA competed with directly or indirectly?
  2. I find it interesting that it was originally used on a Cadillac. Maybe the Buick Zeta could be called LaSalle since they took the Park Avenue name and made it the Buick flagship. Eh... very doubtful, but it would blend well with LaCrosse & Lucerne. It would also make a logical Flagship Buick since LaSalle was positioned between Buick & Cadillac.
  3. I was actually looking at our filter settings earlier today. We'll see if we can agree on some standard filtering to help maintain a certain level of professionalism.
  4. GM'S FORWARD PROGRESS: FACTS VERSUS FICTION.
  5. Yeah... the Camry's sales are plummeting like a rock with all that horsepower killing its V6's MPG.
  6. Thankfully... Hyundai and Suzuki wouldn't want to be associated with this thing. You obviously missed how well the G6 was received here at C&G... name, exterior, interior, powertrain, etc... All were ridiculed.

  8. Pauli, Look at the top of the LaCrosse Super's grille. It's not an upright waterfall grille; it kinks toward the top and heads back into the hood. The shape is even less of an oval. The top corners flare out more while it comes to a subtle point at the bottom.
  9. 1954 Cadillac Park Avenue Show Car: 1958 Cadillac Park Avenue: 1962 Cadillac Park Avenue:
  10. Maybe I've had blinders on for the past several years, but I never knew this... Was this ever a stand alone Cadillac model or just a trim on the DeVille? 1963:
  11. If only the Riviera (and Park Avenue) would have received the 4.6l V8 back in 1994.
  12. It's funny isn't it... What was that about "Smoke & Mirrors" again?
  13. There was just something incredibly odd about this test car, and I finally figured out what it was... The color. 'Silver Green' was only available for 2005. It was dropped (IIRC) due to low demand. I wonder if this is just a left over 2005 model with exterior updates... that might explain why the interior doesn't have any updates.
  14. That's just awesome Evok! Thanks for the link!
  15. Zeta-based Buicks(note plural... still hoping for a Riviera coupe. Yes, I've read the coupe topic in Chevrolet section) NG LaCrosse with available AWD. NG DTS or possible the future ULS Cadillac. NG Northstar engine. NG 9-5
  16. Thanks! I didn't want to misinterpret.
  17. And you type this while packing your bag for a trip to Canada in search for a cute 16 year old!
  18. Here's the link posted in the blog with stats and more interior/exterior spy pics http://www.allpar.com/cars/dodge/avenger.html Doesn't really matter though... The unveiling is apparently today. All I have to say is... DCX had almost 4 years to perfect the Airflite styling and this is what they came up with?
  19. In 2008? not for 2008? So the LaCrosse Super will have unique styling for one year and then the rest of the LaCrosse line-up will receive the updates for MY2009? The article states the LaCrosse Super will be out around this time next year so the Super itself must be a MY2008. Am I missing something here?
  20. Magneride = Magnetic Ride Control. I don't think we'll have to worry about a "sport" setting.
  21. I thought a little more on why the LaCrosse Super was pushed out to 2008 instead of having a 2007 debut. What if GM decided to hold off on the Super for one more year to make all the changes at once. Perhaps the 3800 will be phased out after 2007MY, leaving the 3.6l as standard with the V8 optional. Enter refreshed 2008 LaCrosse (interior & exterior) with new trim levels and packaging: LaCrosse Reserve (3.6l V6) LaCrosse Super (5.3l V8) Sound plausible?
  22. Bravo indeed! Fly---> <---Fly
  23. Then that just makes Hyundai the "Value King" for the compact & midsize markets. The Elantra & Sonata both have direct competitors that offer the same safety features (Corolla & Camry both immediately come to mind) and have been doing so longer than Hyundai. Unfortunately for Hyundai, People are already willing to pay more for a Toyota. Do Hyundais offer "Pre-Collison detection?" Does the ESP on Hyundai's CUVs have the same capabilities as Ford's "Rollover Control System?" Do the Sonata and Azera offer Knee airbags like the Camry & Avalon? There are safer vehicles for people to drive other than Hyundais. Even in their given markets. We can also reference the side-impact protection results you posted. The brand new Azera did not take the top score. A less expensive 18 year old W-Body based Impala scored higher than the Azera. The Azera also scored below the Toyota Avalon, which it competes directly with. Hyundais are "feature rich" when looking at base trims, but (IMO) lose any type of status other than "value" or "budget" once they are stacked next to the actual leaders in their respected classes.
  24. I'm still curious about that myself. We'll see if the entire LaCrosse line-up doesn't eventually benefit from it. It could still happen.
  25. Congrats Ocn on the new job! Rebounds like that are always great to hear about!
