  1. This isn't a subcompact CUV... It'll be one of the largest CUVs on the market... similar in size to a Tahoe. From what I can tell, the following mainstream-to-premium CUVs have standard (from entry to Limited) 4-way front passenger seats: Chrysler Pacifica Subaru Tribeca Honda Pilot Jeep Commander Mazda CX-9 Toyota Highlander Nissan Murano The Following luxury CUVs have 8-way passenger seats standard: Lexus RX350 Acura MDX Lincoln MKX Infiniti FX35 VW Touareg Yes... as much as I would like the Enclave to match feature for feature against the luxury CUVs, it is definitely not a safety issue or even unheard of in this market! We do not know pricing, and the standard feature+option list is still sizeable even though the Enclave only goes up to CXL trim (at this time). It's a given that the Enclave will under-cut all of the above-mentioned luxury CUVs. Considering the premium mainstream brands (like Subaru, Toyota, Chrysler, & Honda) get away with this, I don't see why Buick can't for the moment. Considering the premium mainstream brands get away with this (Subaru, Toyota, Chrysler, & Honda) I can't see how this is really a big deal to most of you that are complaining since you've allowed this to be a non-issue (and not a deal-breaker) all this time. Moving on....
  2. Variance... Not necessarily which one is better, but I actually prefer the SLS. It's not as dramatic as the CTS, but it's more formal... and at the moment, I'd prefer to stare at the SLS's Steering wheel on a daily basis. I do like the CTS's window switch placement over the STS/SLS. BigPontiac... The argument wasn't about preference, at least not as far as I was concerned. It was based upon which car could more appropriately accommodate adult-sized rear seat passengers. The CTS does. How that ability rates as a buyer's priority wasn't the issue. Whether or not you took that into consideration when buying your BMW wasn't the issue either. Where you found it as a negative, someone out there finds it as an advantage. The CTS just has more space in the back seat. I don't know who stated the obvious, but yes, the reason is plain and simple: The CTS is just a larger car.
  3. - Good job on that yourself. As if you can cast the first stone... To tie it all in then... The CTS' rear seat is more suitable for adults than the BMW 3-Series. Happy?
  4. LOL, LOL, LOL You don't think that GM isn't targeting CamCord sales? That segment is a totally different animal than the full-size pickup segment. It may be at the moment (since GM has changed its mid-size strategy)... but GM traditionally approached the mid-size sedan segment with two separate models under several brands. While being the largest seller of mid-size sedans in the US (N & W combined) for several years, GM continued to be ridiculed for not producing "one car for all people" or as you'd put it, a home run. GM's multiple variants were still held up against the Camry and Accord for individual scrutiny regardless of their individual sales volume expectations. The Tundra, regardless of its mediocre expectations of 200k sales, still deserves (and rightfully so) to be held up against the leaders in this segment for direct comparison/scrutiny. I'm sure you can understand and recognize this fair and distinct quality that NorthStar is speaking of even though Toyota is only offering one version of the Tundra.
  5. Sit in both man......I have. In real-world comfort, there's not much between them. Don't let the 3's exterior size be the only thing you base your opinions on.....the new model is much roomier inside (especially in the back seat) than the old one.... You'll complain about the inhospitable and cramped rear quarters on the W-Body cars (Like LaCrosse) but you'll condone and argue in favor of driving 4 grown men (5'10"-6'2") around for an extended period of time in a BMW 3-Series? You are NUTS! I’ve been in a 3-Series. SEVERAL times… The back seat is a very uncomfortable place to be longer than 20 minutes (only good for car-pooling to lunch and back.) Outside of that, the back seat is only for children... teens at best.
  6. Um... What do you think the benefit of MRC is? Just a flashy name? This suspension will allow the LaCrosse to perform better and be more predictable than the SS or GXP regardless if it's tuned with a softer ride. I suspect this will be the best "touring" W-Body sedan GM will have ever made (or will make.) I'm not talking about the LaCrosse Super stealing SS or GXP sales. Hardly. I'm sure the LaCrosse Super will provide a superior ride to other comparably priced sedans (better than Camry XLE, current Accord, Avalon Touring, or Azura for sure)... More to the liking of the buyer Buick is now chasing after... A refresh for those who aren't familiar with it (I know you are O.C.): I can't see how the current Impala SS or GXP would be able to compare against the LaCrosse Super without MRC.
  7. Heh... my opinion: If GM is willing to do this to the LaCrosse... then maybe there's still hope for a Lucerne MCE to improve the interior matching DTS material quality. I expect the LaCrosse to only offer two engines when it's refreshed: 3.6l as standard and then the Super's V8. The 3800 will die. Magna-Ride (What happened to MRC name?) will undoubtedly make the LaCrosse Super perform MUCH better than the Impala SS or Pontiac GXP. I actually expect complimentary reviews as far as performance/handling is concerned. Interior and amenity upgrades may include LED lighting and Navigation. I do think this will assist with transitioning to the EPSII vehicle. It makes little sense otherwise.
  8. Take that with a grain of salt. Tundra offers two smaller engine choices beneath the 5.7L. Considering the volumes Silverado & Sierra sale in, their niche model sales may match Toyota's Volume. Playing the percentage game here won't work. Do you honestly think Toyota's top engine choice or trim level pricing will be significantly cheaper than GM, Ford, or Dodge? Remember, the 5.7L is the largest of three engine choices in the Tundra. The Tundra 5.7L gets what again? Last I checked, the Tundra is a Gas-Guzzling Pig also.
  9. O.C., I'm disappointed in you... Since when is 'good enough' or 'just as good as the competition' acceptable to you… especially in one of the most competitive and staunchly loyal markets as this one? The Tundra is the one in catch-up mode and according to recent reviews, Toyota is the one guilty of underestimating GM.
  10. Also...it just shows how difficult it would be for GM to trump Tundra on the numbers game. It's not. Engine, equipment, etc are already in place to beat everything Toyota is offering.
  11. for the third time...
  12. I still love it... Regardless of the color shown so far... even in Orange. I'd never buy the current CTS. I'd definitely consider the new one. Sorry, but it's superior in every way as far as I'm concerned: features, quality, style, proportions, presence... it's beautiful. I can't wait to see it in person and on the road. Between the updated STS (Chinese interior) and the new CTS, I'm thoroughly impressed with Cadillac A&S 2.0. I'm pretty much hooked. The upcoming AWD LaCrosse or RWD Lucerne better steal my heart or I'm switching brands.
  13. I'm sure the competition is thinking the same thing :AH-HA_wink: I think the vents will look better in person considering they contribute to the cut lines under the door windows.
  14. Unless the next LaCrosse and Lucerne sweep me off my feet, this will be my Park Avenue's replacement. Comments on the styling: Profile reminds me of a Mercedes C-class Interior gives me a Subaru Tribeca feel, but I love it. The wood looks fantastic contrasting with the metal-look interior. Plus: Front is gorgeous Minus: I don't really care for the steering wheel, but that's just looking for something wrong on a car with soooo much right. A+ Cadillac!
  15. How is the driver suppose to use the navigation screen when in any car interior it would be almost in front of the passenger... 2007 Tundra... vs. If this was a Tahoe, The nav-screen would be on top of the middle-right A/C vent:
  16. Yep... and that wonderful 4-Speed Automatic is still an $800 option. It's amazing how the Aveo gets slammed by the Media for offering a 4-speed auto, but they adore the more expensive Scions despite it.
  17. Hey Fly, are you going to file an insurance claim? I'm joking. Sorry to hear this. At least you didn't pin-ball back and forth between guardrails.

    NINTENDO!

Yikes! I vaguely remember that... We're talking 15-16 years ago. lol. If memory serves me, I think there's a pattern to it. I'll see if I can find something online... Edit: Here's a walk through... http://www.classicgaming.com/startropics/w.../stwalkthru.txt This page appears to be entirely dedicated to the game That's a blast... I heard the theme song and laughed! I actually recognized it!

    NINTENDO!

OH MY GAUD! I haven't thought about that game in years. I remember my brothers and I finally beating it. We saved it right before facing the alien at the end so we could video tape the skit right after it. LOL! wow... Satty... definitely get this game if you want to have some fun. It's not as complax as it appeared when new, but it's definitely entertaining, and you won't finish it in a day or two.
  20. Are they ever going to give the tC a full length CHMSL? or leave it with the horrid budget-looking 7 LED light using a huge faux light cover? Every time a tC brakes, it looks like most of the CHMSL is burned out. It's awful and cheap looking:
  21. Chrysler has been here before. All these vans are missing are integrated window curtains and you have a reinterpretation of the original full-size van. My parents had a Dodge Ram conversion van back in the 1980s, which had mid-row captain chairs that swiveled, and a table that could be installed/removed at will. The table looks almost interchangeable with the one we had. You unlatched the top from the base and then removed the pole from the floor. Easy to store when not in use. Let's see if engineering has improved after 20+ years. (gaud... I feel old at only 30 ) I do have to say... overall, I like them. After seeing both interior & exterior shots, they're a dramatic improvement over the current generation and once again the best on the market. edit: I didn't see DetroitNut90's post before posting... Kind of funny that we had a similar experience and association.
  22. I looked at the pic provided one more time... The photo really makes the LS460 look similar to the Camry-based ES350. After seeing two LS460s on the road (that I consciously identified), I have to say the LS is hard to distinguish from the ES, IS, & GS until you take the vehicle size into account. A peripheral glance doesn't catch the details in the shared watered-down look that all Lexus sedans have now.
  23. Heh... Bob will be interested (proud? or not surprised at all... lol) to learn that Neiman Marcus is finally building a department store here in the NorthWest... Yep... Downtown Bellevue :AH-HA_wink: As a Dallas native, I had to sit and wonder what took so long.
  24. This is my favorite characteristic... hands down! That's not a knock on the Camaro Concept either. I'm not in the Camaro's target audience, but I do miss GM-Exclusive seat belt buckles. They provided a sense of pride and family identity while still appearing as interior jewelry in an area that's usually neglected. From Chevrolet to Cadillac, owners weren't ashamed to touch, hold, pull, and wear the corporate logo on their seat belts. Lexus, Acura, and Infiniti owners would be ashamed. That's something GM and its owners can be proud of.
  25. Outside of BMW's BMW Assist & DCX's Mercedes-Benz TeleAid you either use OnStar or nothing at all. Even if you have BMW Assist or TeleAid, I'm not sure they offer every service that OnStar provides. Last time I checked only certain models under the Acura, Lexus, Isuzu, VW, Subaru & Audi resell OnStar services... It's not typically offered as standard equipment (like on GM's products) or across the entire line-up of the brands mentioned. As far as volume is concerned, all of the foreign brands who resell OnStar are truthfully low volume/niche brands in the US. What about the rest of the competiton? including high volume, luxury, niche? Mitsubishi Nissan (and Infiniti) Chrysler Group (Chrysler, Dodge, Jeep) Ford (Ford, Mercury, Lincoln, Volvo, Jaguar, Land Rover) Toyota brand Scion brand Honda brand Hyundai Kia Most other manufacturers offer their own version of OnStar? I don't think so.
