  1. And you wonder why I discontinued my subscription to MotorTrend years ago?
  2. Traditional 8-passenger full-size SUVs: Competition - Toyota Sequoia - City: 15 Highway: 18 Chrysler Aspen - City: 14 Highway: 18 Ford Expedition - City: 14 Highway: 17 Nissan Armada - City: 13 Highway: 18 Toyota LandCruiser - City: 13 Highway: 17 GM's - Chevrolet Tahoe - City: 15 Highway: 20 Buick - Buick Enclave - City: 16 Highway: 24
  3. C-Spec... correct me if I'm wrong: Buick, Saturn (+ Opel), & Chevrolet are the only ones scheduled so far for EPS II. That's also the order they'll become available in the US as well correct?
  4. Thank you! So, at least there's one vehicle that had this "effect" in a place other than the front end. It looked appropriate on the Roadmaster. The C-Pillar was huge.
  5. That was my source as well, but you should only look at rental fleet percentages compared to total. The chart breaks them out. Not all Fleet sales are rental fleet. Rental is the portion of fleet that negatively impacts vehicle perception/resale value. My percentages take that into account.
  6. IIRC, I remember reading that the B-Body Roadmaster had a strip on the C-Pillar to stylistically represent Buick's portholes of yore. I couldn't find any pics though to illustrate. However, I thought I remembered it having Roadmaster written into the strip also.
  7. How about the 2008 DTS Platinum Edition instead? Last numbers I saw showed DTS @ 24% rental fleet & STS only a little over 3% rental fleet. So, the DTS would take one step down and place under the E-Class but the STS would remain the same. The Infiniti M, Audi A6, and Volvo S80 appear to be fleeted more than the STS.
  8. Wow! Pontiac now makes an Electric version of the Solstice! Maybe we should all pull together and buy one for a long lost friend. I doubt this one will pin-ball between guard rails. :rotflmao:
  9. I probably would. I would take a 2 or 3 year lease on this one and then trade in for the next-gen in 2011 or so. Sounds good to me.
  10. I'd prefer to be the laid-off worker than a Toyota temp any day. You continue to ignore the buy-out compensation packages and pretend they don't exist. I'd take a $100k buyout or life-long medical coverage while still being young enough to begin a new career. Have fun trying to find a job that pays similar in a farm town in Kentucky while feeding and taking care of your family on nothing but unemployment.
  11. I don't know... I personally like the one they used for the Chinese Riviera Concept... Destined for the World Both rock... Buick needs to advertise its international appeal and the unification of a globalized Buick line-up.
  12. But... But... Enzl said so? I'm not a GM owner because GM is American or because GM employs Americans. Some might be, but there is nothing wrong with national pride. I like GM's products, GM's historical achievements (domestic and international), and the culture that surrounds GM. Regardless if you're a GM dealer principle, sales man, whatever, I'll tell you this right now: If you continue to creatively spin news just to insult C&G board members, loyal GM buyers, and GM in general just for the sake of it, you're hurting your own personal buying public who visit this site as well as negatively impacting one of the purposes for this forum. You will be banned. I promise. You can continue insulting GM, the products you peddle, blindly-loyal car enthusiasts, etc at other fan boards like templeofvtec.com or toyotanation.com... just not here. Trust me, you'll find just as many - if not more - leg humpers on those boards who need the veil pulled back to expose the wizard for what he truly is.
  13. It's a rental. Just joking... no, not really. The odds are in my favor.
  14. But honestly, Honda's sales aren't that great right now. If it wasn't for the Fit and remodeled CRV, they'd be in serious trouble. As for Acura, the MDX should be doing better than last year's tired model, RDX isn't meeting expectations, and the RL should be euthanized. Even with the lower priced trim levels, Acura only sold 658 of them last month. The RL must be the lowest-selling midsize luxury sedan on the market.
  15. That's just too funny. Very cute.
  16. From another topic just two days ago... Here you go!
  17. I picked Honda... Honda & Acura historically released very striking drawings or over-the-top concepts only later to reveal generic production vehicles (at least with the exteriors.)
  18. No... this new design language is for Buick globally. But, you said it yourself, this is the new direction for Buick. Of course it wouldn't look like everything Buick has put out over the past 10-15 years. Buick doesn't need to be ashamed of its history (hence the heritage cues and Riviera name), but the brand is alive and should continue to evolve. This is Buick making up for lost time. It's love it or hate it... and I love it.
  19. Actually... a King can be castrated and still be King. It requires another piece of equipment.
  20. Wow... Mitsubishi had 630 some odd dealers in 2004... now it has 520 dealers. 520 dealers @ 12,047 mthly sales = 23 sales per dealer... however, what's Mitsubishi's fleet percentage? Also, keep in perspective that Mitsubishi sold 345,922 cars in 2002... they're currently on track to sell less than 150k this year.
  21. I love the Black Cherry! But I'm fond of the Cashmere w/Cocoa accents interior with the Black Cherry (Titanium might be nice too). 2nd color pic would be Sunset Blue and then Thunder Gray Chromaflair (if it has a blue tint) Both with Cashmere.... If they cancel Buick's Zeta sedan in the US... this may end up being my next car...
  22. The interior isn't bad. It reminds me of what Volvo was putting out a few years ago.
  23. Maybe this tunnel will come in handy after all... http://www.washtimes.com/upi/20070420-104337-2286
  24. I'll have to wait and see a remodeled dealership in person. I'm not able to take it all in with these pics. Are they revamping the interiors too?
  25. As much as I want the Park Avenue here... This issue needs to be addressed first
