  1. The Regal also did well with Consumer Reports... So, outside of ignorant bias against Buick (because you are supposably in love with Chevrolet), where's your source backing up the claim Buick was/is unreliable? Honestly, I don't feel alone supporting Buick. I've been to a Buick National meet, and I also know Buick owners who are very much alive and kicking. I still receive compliments on my Park Avenue Ultra, and expect to continue receiving compliments on my next new Buick. Buicks are gaining more attention and recognition every day. Get over using US sales volume as a yard stick for Buick's vitality. It's global. Live with it.
  2. YYYYEEEEEEAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHH BUUDDDDDDDDYY! Hmmmm....... and a nod goes to also...
  3. Congrats! Always drop in when you can. Can't wait to see what happens!
  4. Google takes the fun out of researching most questions these days. Spoiler:
  5. With Mercedes out of the picture, Jeep now has justification for a product like Commander. Keep the model and turn it into a true rugged luxury SUV going up against Land Cruiser and the LR2.
  6. Sales are down from last month (July'07 Tundra Sales: 23,150)... not from last August.
  7. That's actually what I meant... If the vehicle goes on sale in 2009, when would you expect the unveiling? 2008... correct? It could be unveiled in the US and China simultaneously or at different shows in the same year. That was my point.
  8. This is an interesting topic now that the domestics have all but closed the reliability gap. Just a skeptical passing thought... If Consumer Reports can't convince buyers to continue purchasing Asian brands based on reliability, they'll just tell their loyal fan base to stop buying cars altogether. The cars they currently own are good enough. Fortunately, this could backfire since the "devout import/Asian buyer" will wait longer before trading in their vehicle, thus reducing sales of the brand that holds their loyalty. Could this mean cars are now too reliable?
  9. NO WAY! This will be very interesting...
  10. I thought the new Chinese Buick compact goes on sale in China as a 2009 model? If GM decides to import it, why would it not be available to debut at a US Auto Show in 2008?
  11. Posted on 8/31: http://www.cheersandgears.com/forums/index...showtopic=19572 Please continue all discussion under the cited topic.
  12. Stopgap? Reduce corporate staff voluntarily by an est 70% then pull out?
  13. I must have missed something... Chrysler has stock?
  14. Which one(s) did you have in mind?
  15. You might want to go back and read the topic comments. Northstar stated production of the 2010 LaCrosse begins Jan'09. That's 15 months away! We'll be seeing it debut much sooner than that, so this really isn't too far in advance.
  16. If Tundra sales continue to drop, Toyota will miss Tundra's 200k goal for the first year, even with heavy incentives. The Tundra must be costing Toyota a fortune. I can't wait until they release the Sequoia. It's sure to light up the sales chart. I wonder if they'll continue to use the same horrible redneck-sounding narrator for the Sequoia commercials...
  17. How eerily accurate and spot on.
  18. Congratulations! I wish the both of you many years of building fond and lasting memories.
  19. Oops... Brian was wrong... hehe.
  20. Hey Axel - check out the pic with the instrumentation cluster. It has wood/satin metal on each side right below the leather stitched upper dash. I bet that it follows the upper dash across the width of the interior (over the console and onto the passenger's side) to help maintain a horizontal theme which is echoed by the steering wheel design. In that manner, it would continue an interior style that's identifiably Buick.
  21. I can still hope. The car is over a year away until we start hearing solid details. Anything can change in a year. Regal is already known in China, Canada, & the US. GM could finally drop the Allure/LaCrosse debacle and bring Regal back.
  22. Why am I not surprised who voted for GM to go back to the drawing board. We've already seen where Honda will be by the end of the year with the 2008 Accord. The 2010 LaCrosse/Regal will be in a higher class. Oh, and matching the premium competition in controls integration means they're no longer 10 years behind.
  23. One request... rename the vehicle REGAL!
  24. 100% approval in my book! I can't wait to see the finished product!
  25. I believe I paid around $1,800 for my 84mth/100k premium plus extended warranty without a deductible on my '03 PA. I think it was originally priced around $2,500. The price is definitely negotiable.
