  1. I actually like how griffon painted this... Buick in Australia Buick - Australian History Interesting info on Holden's history as well...
  2. Exactly... The fact that Buick can shed 10 years off the average buyers age in a year is proof enough of how fast the "working age" buying market is willing to give Buick a chance with the right products. Throw a TE-based "Rendezvous" CUV underneath Enclave and watch the younger buyers flock to Buick. An unmistakably premium compact would be received well too with gas prices increasing.
  3. Great News! Shows progress is being made! I'll be contributing, again, to the buyers age dropping one day soon... I would like to see the complete breakdown between brands...
  4. Yes, it's on EPSYII and will be larger than the 2008 Malibu. I'm expecting the exterior dimensions to be smaller than the current LaCrosse, but not by much though.
  5. It happened to me approx when TYD started this topic. I was attempting to save a post in Camino's GMBS topic.
  6. How about going old school on the new Camaro? swap out for a custom grill, custom honeycomb taillights, screaming chicken on the hood and badge it as a Pontiac Firebird or Trans-Am? The local B-P-G dealership probably won't appreciate it (come to think of it, neither will the Chevrolet Dealer...) But they'll remember you! :-) As a side note of curiosity... did anyone else first think of VISA when looking at the title of this topic?
  7. Still like it! Thanks for the better pics though....
  8. Didn't catch that the Base 3.5l model was starting lower than $38,000. My mistake. How much will the base model start at? Anyone know or care to guess?
  9. Uhm... A base-price $38,000 specialty performance car debuting in 2008 with a 4-speed automatic...
  10. At least the styling Moves your attention Forward
  11. I actually like it... but GOOD GRIEF! the angles of those pics are hooooooorrible. Ugh!
  12. The more I look at it, I'm wondering if this is a Camry-sized wagon or an Avalon-sized wagon. I'm starting to get more of an Avalon vibe from it. I'm sure it'll be initially priced more like an Avalon since it'll launch with the 3.5l V6 standard (2.7l 4 comes later)
  13. Very nice... Those moments last a lifetime. Hang on to them.
  14. I'm actually very interested in seeing this car in person. I also want to know pricing. I see the Passat CC more of a Volvo S80/SAAB 9-5 competitor... which is far more appropriate for the Volkswagen brand than the S-Class-chasing Phaeton.
  15. Don't worry... if the Camaro goes to Australia, I suspect it will remain a Chevrolet and debut the Chevrolet brand into the Australian market. Kind of ingenious actually, considering the state of things to come. On that note, this might explain the potential for Chevrolet to get Alpha instead of Pontiac. It could be sold as a Chevrolet in Australia, North America, and Europe... A Zeta-based truck and an exported Camaro might fill up quite a bit of capacity at Oshawa...
  16. How do the current headlights prevent it from being a Murano competitor? I'm just playing. I know what you mean.
  17. I think that's completely do-able. Look at a potential competitor... like the Camry 4-cyl. It ranges from the $18.5k CE to the $25k XLE. I think if Buick had a premium compact sedan that's smaller than Camry, approx 200hp 4-cyl, higher quality materials, additional available features*, and Enclave inspired styling then Buick would have a strong contender in the market. Buick's standard longer warranty, standard Quiet-Tuning, standard Turn-by-Turn navigation, standard XM radio, & standard OnStar would only improve its chances. *Additional available features could include: AWD (All-Wheel Drive), Memory leather seats, Xenon headlamps, automatic headlamps, LED tail lights, Satellite navigation... What ever you do, please use the same vendor as Enclave for the interior wood trim. It's at least convincing.
  18. If you'd relinquish just one item (the V8) you'd have the Solstice, Sky, and Alpha-based vehicles to consider. I know you really want a V8, but their intent and purpose have diminished considerably aside from the "prestige" factor.
  19. Not as far as the Camaro, G8, and the Alpha vehicles (regardless of mainstream brand) are concerned.
  20. Okay... well, back onto small cars for Buick, Pontiac, & GMC... the off-topic subject is being strung across several other topics as it is... I hope the Skylark comes. Remember the article that stated Buick was getting Alpha? I'm wondering if that was a misquote or not... Delta or Alpha... doesn't matter to me. I would like to see a compact Buick again.
  21. So is the GMC Sierra, but he was considering it as well. His requirements was a GM vehicle that provided more passenger room than the Aura, ample cargo room, but better gas mileage than a GMC Sierra. He asked where that left him since the G8 wagon was canceled... Answer: GMC Acadia/Saturn Outlook/Buick Enclave
  22. Maybe an Outlook? Is there a two-mode Hybrid GreenLine planned down the road?
  23. If done tastefully, I'd consider one as a commuter and keep my Park Avenue a few more years (I only have 45k miles so far and she's a 2003) and then trade her in for a replacement in addition to having the Skylark. Maybe/possibly we could just use the Skylark as a replacement for the Sebring? hmmm...
  24. Sounds good to me... just don't recreate the "rebadge" fiasco from the past... as Lutz said in previous statements, the 35mpg CAFE is not happening all at once, it's in phases. They don't need to rush cookie-cutter brand-eroding products into the dealerships. After all the work they've done and ground regained, please don't let them do this. I look forward to learning more of the "Skylark" compact Buick for China. Hopefully it'll exceed expectations and be imported/manufactured here for the US market.
  25. Almost about as smart as a Pontiac minivan... I just don't see the market for an R/T minivan....
