Its funny you say that. They were off by less than 2% Talk about a mess. http://www.iht.com/articles/ap/2007/01/08/...undai-Motor.php This is wher you lose me. Teachers and police get paid dirt because they can be paid dirt. How many people are going to jump at the chance to pick up your trash or drive you to work or get shot at while someones sticking you up without having a certain sense of job security and decent wages? Sure there are some bad apples out there who see 20 years and 1/2 salary pension and thats it --but thats life. Should the hero cops, im sure theres still some out there, firefighters that run into your burning house while you are running out or the teacher that inspired little jimmy or suzy be punished because of some jackass. Work needs to be done to get GM competetive. The sign of fair arbitration... everbody will walk away pissed.

I think the most important thing to realize is that all OEMs are serious about providing better quality and less problematic automobiles. But lord almighty look at Honda. under 2,000 recalls for a potentially substantial reason. Unbelievable. Honest question, I understand tsb's are common practice but are voluntary recalls included? and how are customer service campaigns and special service campaigns and whateverelse they want to call them classified? Like a collosal salary grab, wait--I mean temporary refund adjustment... Some good ones from last year, Recall to make cars less safe More Recalls Good News for Toyota? Under the Radar? Japan Condemns Toyota but I wouldnt worry too much about toyota, rather instead be concerned GM will be doing the right thing and continue to make strides.

Damn that thing looks great. And I dont even like converts all that much. Is that even even English? what are you trying to say. It sounds like about 12 sentences. Maybe condense it into two or three instead of the one and let everyoine else in on what you are trying to get across. damn. and I love those belts...Even though theyll burn you like a sumbitch on a hot summers day...Just like an all leather interior anyway. I remember tring to singe my bro with those things. The Mark of Excellence. NICE. Glad to see them back.

what? do you have any idea at all waht youre saying? hahah typing? not the way it works because we'd be seeing what? 500 pound people all over the place. one extra slice of bread will not do what you claim. Thats a fact jack. ps. im long done with school and term papers. -

I dont know what kind of bread you eat but 1 pound = 3500 calories. You either eat that much to gain a pound or burn that much to lose one or a combination works best. You can just cut that much out and lose too. That works out to about 500 calories per day. 2 cokes and that coffee roll perhaps. I only have a minor in health/nutrition though so I could be wrong. Im not, though. Look it up if you want. And the best way to regulate is to tax the gas and not the OEMs. People will think twice before buying that large truck or 4x4 and maybe choose more wisely. If the govt wants to but in it should be arbitrary. They shouldnt but if they do keep it at a level playing field...no one wants to win on a technicality. Wheres the honor in that? -
oc, I recommend a higher spf for you. The differences are not any where near as dramatic as you suggest. In fact, most people acknowledge the discrepancies...but they are plenty capable. The way you go on I would think the cobalt came with a crank or standard with a horse pulling it. Im just so glad you crossed PUSHRODS off YOUR $h! list. The focus of this article is about perception. HINT HINT...and so basically it wont matter what is done because like you say, people (in Cali, at least) dont want to be seen in one. and that means no matter what. Toyotas have their own stereotypes, at least around here--and they aint all rosy. And lately...whewww. talk about problems.
-
Not yet anyway. Theyll move about 8k this year. But when you add them up its Miata what? http://media.gm.com/servlet/GatewayServlet...n=2&docid=30971

What do you have, $h! for brains? How exactly did they screw up? Toyotas hybrids are band aids that only appease the media types. They are ineffecient and hardly worth the trouble. The real gains from hybrid technology are seen in mass transit. GM did not screw up hybrids rather they screwed up in marketing their buses. The next generation of "hybrids" an alternate fuel will further make the Prius look like a joke. 30 years from now people will be laughing at this feeble attempt to conserve energy and will only learn how to use public relations and successfully market a product. The 235 hybrid buses that operate in the Seattle area are expected to save 750,000 gallons of fuel per year over the buses they will replace. Over the 12-year life cycle of the vehicles, the total savings is expected to be 8 million gallons of fuel. http://autos.msn.com/advice/article.aspx?contentid=4022529 If America's nine largest cities replaced their transit fleets—totaling 13,000 buses—with GM's hybrid buses, GM states the cities would save 40 million gallons of fuel each year—a greater savings than 500,000 small hybrid vehicles.

What a lovely post. How long did it take you to craft this gem? How about you go and take the time to calculate the benefits that the GM hybrid buses have yielded? ...what was that contribution?... That will be the mark when it is looked back upon. No? It should. The hybrids like the prius will go down as a blip on the radar compared to the stuff that Gm is working on right now. And Honda, and BWM...and Toyota is left twiddling their thumbs.

ahhh, yes a calculated bias prone conspiracy the likes of which never before seen and designed to systematically and irrevocalbly destroy the US auto market stretching to the highest levels of....nevermind. If you check the links i supplied youll see the clear evidence of bias and all the suckers that have been brainwashed. thats sarcasm. Check the links to see what im saying, you might be surprised Ive always despised CR's "reporting" for instance. Lately however they seem to acknowledge the smooth powertrains and efficient 6 speeds GM is now using. Some examples of their wording still irrate me however...The way I look at it now is this: GM has perhaps been brought down a little by them just to be brought back up...same goes for Toyota. Bias is just human nature. Initially they seem to have an interest in the lambdas too. Sometimes it really just takes a terrifly executed idea with the latest tech. or in some instances just the status quo to get peoples attention or change their minds. Is it only me or can anyone else not wait until 2009 to see if the 2007 Toyota Camry is on the "used cars to avoid" list? that and for some other reasons.

GM introduces vehicle-to-vehicle (V2V) system
Mr.Krinkle replied to SoCalCTS's topic in General Motors
Most law enforcement wont even budge from their hiding spots unless youre doing a good 10-15mph over the limit. Some bust balls for less but ideally you should always be paying attention or have a good radar detector. I dont believe in them but sometimes know when to slow because of others on the road. No amount of technology is going to excuse someone for being reckless or driving like an idiot...as far as this tech goes its a little scary. A warning system like this in theory would be good. Just think of all the people on the roads that just do not look or leave themselves an out. Unfortunately if it is a beep most people will probably just think theyre getting another call... There are ddefintely dempgraphics this could help but how would the warning seriously effect their actions? Conceivably it could cause a startle reflex and do as much harm...guess well see what the jury says. -
There is no one "unbiased" source of anything. Multiple accounts from multiple sources is your best bet. Dont be lazy. No one person is going have the definitve answer for you. There will never be a shortage of opinions. As far as trucks go I know where to look and theyve been doing it for a few decades.

Ive outdriven a couple of them. One in a Cavalier no less. The real marvel of engineering is how the positraction in the rear end of a Plymouth works. The writing is on the wall pretty much I think. Any Honda V8 is going to go in an Acura. Dont kid yourselves just yet. Im sure its a neat little car but it should be more i suppose. Anywhere else but on the track im sure its a bore...and a chore. Oh well. Keep at it.

I noticed this the last time I was checking out these sites. Read the reviews. Look at all the dissastified camry customers. Granted they have a larger sample but its not going to be like that if this keeps up. Many claim to be jumping ship...the first rats off I suppose. Consumer confidence and media portrayal are linked to some degree. Check the reviews of the products Gm gets right. The bias goes out the window. Even the mighty and venerable import humping CR seem to be waking up. Slowly perhaps but surely. The bottom line is sub standard and inferior efforts are acknowledged. How this will affect something like the ridgeline is beyond me. I dont think a v8 will sell any more of them than they do already. Especially since its pricey to begin with. http://autos.msn.com/research/vip/overview...ota&model=Camry http://autos.msn.com/research/vip/overview...da&model=Accord http://autos.msn.com/research/vip/overview...turn&model=Aura http://autos.yahoo.com/toyota_camry/;_ylt=...vLTwGSOuyBXfb8F http://autos.yahoo.com/honda_accord_sedan/...tFk.MMByKFZeb8F http://autos.yahoo.com/saturn_aura/;_ylt=A...e87i6IpTWdsfL8F http://www.edmunds.com/new/2007/saturn/aur...083/prices.html GM is learning if you offer more you can charge more and you will find a market. When buying a car it usually doesnt come down to dollars and cents as much as it does dollars and sense, i.e. value for the perceived money spent in relation to what you are actually getting. and the s2000 is lame. in more than one way
-
Whatever happened to being late to the party? If you truly believe the media is that influential you underestimate most people. Or you just consider yourself too smart as not to fall for it. Maybe GM should bail on hybrids and continue to build giant V8's that not many people are buying.--except mostly in...what? Trucks. What would a media dance sound like anyway. Im guessing tap because only the tango and shuffle have an identifiable signature to their sound.

Theres probably a few people who feel that way. About both parts.

Go ahead laugh it up. The poor midget inside that thing is probably dead or seriously injured. You try walking up steps with all that sh!t on. See how far you make it.

It looks like it might be the minivan that once again saves Dodge .

I always liked sliding doors. I try to park next to minivans for that reason because I know that giant door isnt going to swing open... One less door to worry about.
