  1. The media will have a field day yes, because its not a Toyota. Where is all the meda attention about the new Camry? Oh yeah its buried on page 6,023 of the newspapers where as GM vehicles make the FRONT PAGE!!!! More anti-american media hype by guess what?...AMERICANS!!
  2. Just wait there is a suprise for the H3 coming out, soon. A lot of people will be happy(engine-wise)!! 6 months from now or sooner.
  3. I believe this statement is true about Corvettes being sold out. We had a yellow Z06 in the lobby here at the tech center. Poof gone! I only got to drool over it for a very short period of time. Usually the cars they have in the lobby sit for months. Not the case here. I am very sad, it brightened my day when I came in. I'm thinking they gave it to a dealership to fill an order.
  4. "At the New York Auto Show, back in the rear of thePontiac exhibit area, there's a blue G6 Pontiac convertible. It's not on a stand, there are no lights or models prancing around it, and there was no press conference about the car. I've known about this convertible for four years. General Motors has been talking about it for years. But it didn't come out when the G6 sedan was introduced in fall 2004. It didn't come out in spring of 2005, or last fall, either, and here it is spring of 2006 and there have been no press previews and there was no celebration at the N.Y. Auto Show for the coming convertible. My conclusion? They can't build it. The car has a metal folding roof. I figure that GM, which hasn't built a convertible with a back seat in North America since the old Camaro - I'm not counting the three two-seat roadsters, the Corvette and the Pontiac Solstice/Saturn Sky - and just can't get the roof to work right. Maybe by Christmas?" See the rest of the article here....more GM bashing in it. http://www.thecarconnection.com/Auto_News/...192.A10331.html
  5. There was a head to head competition some time ago when the Prius came out. I can't recall which publication or where, but anyway the TDi was new(not broken in) and the Prius well, was a Prius. They did highway to highway comparisons mpg wise and city to city mpg. The Volkwagen was at the most maybe 3-4 mpg off. Give me a TDi anyday over a Prius. I almost bought one the last time I was looking for a new vehicle. I ended up with a truck...imagine that!
  6. I still like the Canyon, I think it is better looking than the current Colorado. But I still find myself comparing it to my buddies 05 Nissan Frontier, which I suppose is a direct competitor to the Canyon/Colorado. His truck has 265 hp and 284 lb-ft of torque out of a 4.0L V6...ouch!! Is GM going to keep increasing the displacement every 3 years to try to be competitive, by then the Japanese will have moved on. Get your asses in gear GM!!
  7. Wake me up when the M3 comes out, until then goodnight....zzzzzz.
  8. Hell it's already $2.86 here in Michigan since yesterday!! I paid $2.65 yesterday morning.

    ....

Chopity chop chop chop! I seen the real deal last Friday on I-75 coming home from work, it was right by the Chrysler Tech Center going southbound. It looks good. I also have seen a few of the new Nitros running around. One of the Nitros I saw was broke down on the shoulder of I-75. There were a bunch of engineers standing outside of the vehicle all on their cell phones scratching their heads, it was really funny!
  10. Eh a little bland, slab sided. A nice effort by Saturn though, it still needs to be a little more altered from the Vectra. Hopefully the Redline looks more exciting.
  11. Two valid points, yes the Civic dashboard is hideous, finally someone fesses up instead of saying its revolutionary. What a clusterf*ck of a design. Second, the GTi seems to be getting quite portly, please VW come out with something stripped out or down for a lower price with a little more HP, that would be kickass!!
  12. I don't know why but when I was on my way home last weekend from up north the local "Ford" dealership had some Calibers sitting out front. I did a double take to see if it was a split dealership like Ford/Chrysler or something but it wasn't. They had them all postioned like they sometimes do out front to say hey look at me. I even said something to my girlfriend like "thats strange". Dealer trade?....
  13. Bush F*ucked it up, so if its a problem he should fix all the problems with this and stop the bleeding of all the manufacturers jobs going elsewhere. I'm not a fan of Granholm but I do applaud her for standing up and bringing attention to this and saying 'hey what about us?' So if GM has to this to be competitive then so be it. Its life or limb right now at GM so do what it takes! Am I all over the place or what...LOL!!

    H3 vs. FJ

I will take the H3 any day over the Toyota. The H3 hands down offroad is far more capable, I can attest personally! The FJ looks like a lego project gone bad. Did they actually do an offroad test? I agree get the specs right! Once the H3 gets a power upgrade the FJ will be so everyone can shut the F*ck up about the power once and for all!! Then lets have a rematch and then the, my personal name for them, the Lyin'arts can give back the win to the H3!

    H3 vs. FJ

Who would have thought that the Lienerts would have picked the Toyota over the H3, well it doens't take a thermodynamicist to figure it out thats for sure!! More crap spewed from their mouths. But hey read for yourselves. Opinions are encouraged!! http://detnews.com/apps/pbcs.dll/article?A.../604050383/1149
  16. A friend of my mine a few years back got to take home a Bonneville from GM where he still works, he got to sawzall the roof off. How cool is that?! I don't remember what it was for. But who cares right?!!
  17. This car reminds me of a Kenny G cd. It will put you right to sleep. The Japanese need to start injecting some excitment in their cars. The domestics are making a comeback in a big way!!
  18. The Caliber is an ugly pile of crap that has so much plastic I think I would sell out the Armor All section at the local auto store. But yet anything is better than a GM car or truck according to the modern day reporter. Move to Japan and get a room with them!!
  19. Didn't you know that MT is an imaginary publication about imaginary cars? Well they don't exist to me anyway, what a P.O.S. publication.

    BLS Cadillac

My new issue of CAR magazine which is a British publication has a full page ad for the new BLS in it. In the ad it says "Independence Day - April 8th". This is when you can order the car, with the availability of a turbodiesel or petrol engines. The car does not look too bad in the ad, a smoothed over CTS I guess.
  21. Jerry York will be next!! Mark my words. I don't want it and a lot of people don't either. But hey it sounds like a good rumor...LOL!!!! Seriously, a lot of people have mentioned that around work here. So with the way the boat is rocking you never know with these unsettling times.
  22. As much as people are split on the looks of the GTO, I would take that car over the Charger. The Charger is nice but, give me a manual, a coupe, and a lower price anyday and I will make any changes I want with the money left over. The Charger still has that fugly old Intrepid rear end on it. Duh! of course the Charger is roomier...it has 4 doors compared to...2 doors! There is not really any options on the GTO to begin with either, so it already has everything you need, except for 18" wheels and the 6 speed. Am I wrong?! Unless you get the factory optioned bodykit with the racier sounding exhaust included. Which sounds F#cking great by the way!!
  23. Maybe its something they do at home so they tought they were geniuses for incorporating into their work. Sorry it doens't work!! "I say" "Go away!!"

    Black Tuesday

Jerry York will be the next chairman...HA!! Well at least thats the new rumor going around that people are starting. You never know though what might happen with the boat rocking right now. 8 more people next week that I have close contact with will be next, hell maybe even me! I did hear though that it will most likely be more salary workers. The problem is with GM is reaction time or lack of reaction time to the market and way way too much redtape to get things going. I can tell you firsthand of the endless nonsensical meetings. 'Well we didn't get anything accomplished in that meeting so we are going to have another one in an hour...' 'well that meeting didn't work either so tomorrow first thing, we are having another meeting to get this finalized'. It never ends!! My dad has been retired for about 10-12(I can't remember exactly) years from GM and they would not let him retire then(now would be different) because he had to sit in budget meetings that did not pertain to him once he was gone. It really pissed him off everyday when he went in. He loved GM too and it was his life, but he left with a little resentment and bitterness for what they did.

    Black Tuesday

According to our resident on staff engineer this is going to happen and possibly to "us". This engineer always seems to be in the know. I have not payed attention to the track record of the engineers info so I don't know how on they are. No one will be safe is the last thing that was said.
