Not pleased. http://detnews.com/apps/pbcs.dll/article?A.../608020302/1149 And of course those demon spawn - the Lienerts and their review. http://info.detnews.com/autosconsumer/auto...ex.cfm?id=22802

So where's all the news about Toyota's recalls?! Instead the Detroit News reports that the big 3 market share is the worst ever. Why can't Toyota's bad news be on the front page?!! Please post your comments on this. GM is on their biggest turnaround, and are doing this faster than ever but for some reason everyone wants to pile on them-STILL. It seems GM can't do any right in the American medias eyes, yes I know there are some positive reports finally coming out, but the tide has not turned fully yet. Ford on the other hand...sorry guys I can't help you there! http://detnews.com/apps/pbcs.dll/section?Category=AUTO01

All development work on the L6 engine is done. That's from the horses mouth, as they say.

The GMC is pretty uninspiring to say the least!! We waited this long for a mundane design like that?! The Chevrolet is better but I'm still not sold. I don't know, there could have been much bolder thinking and styling gone into these trucks, but GM always takes the conservative route. The interiors are a major improvement. One misprint I found for the engine RPO's was the L76 6.0L, it's supposed to be LY6. All in all so far I think they did a better job with their SUV's. I'll have to see more before I go and give my final judement.

It did not have the wing on the back, nor did it have those wheels. The wheels looked to have those little bolt looking things between the spokes. The rear fascia was off a regular Caliber, and it did not have the side skirts. So basically it was a half ass cobbled together SRT or something in the color black.

The EPA needs to stop F&CKING with diesels already!! All these manufacturers are busting their asses to meet their requirements and then when they do they meet them the EPA are like oh guess what we just changed the rules again. VW can't sell enough TDIs and now they have to take a year off. I would love to see more efficient diesels in the U.S. I would buy one. I'm not sold on E85 yet being the savior of our fuel price debacle!!

Sorry no pics at this time, but it was cool looking. It had bulged out fenders front and rear. The intercooler for the turbo was in plain site, the front bumper looked to be a little cobbled on to fit around the intercooler. It had quite a large tailpipe on it, like something you would see on a local rice burner that makes a lot of noise but goes no where fast. The guy in the car was hauling ass so I had to haul ass too, to keep up with him. He actually got on it a lot to get away from me because he spotted me eyeing it, too much for him I guess! Nice exhaust sound though, very deep sounding. The wheels did not look production, I would say they were anywhere from 17-18" wheels on it. Definitely a cool car as far as Calibers go.

Everything is in place for the 07s but good luck trying to build and price one! Some you can build and others you can't. I tried to build and price a Colorado and the Chevy site might as well have said FU!! All the models were there and the msrp ranges but nothing would work. I'll just maybe chalk it up to the site having problems.

The only problems I have heard with the next generation of Wranglers, and this is from the diehards I know, is the cheapning of the drivetrain components. A lot of these people are worried. They say its a case of D/C pushing down manufacturing costs and making the Jeep brand bigger, so hence the cost push. The Germans don't always seem to get it when it comes to a niche vehicle like the Wrangler.
-
Change the orange interior and the front end and I'm sold. The orange would be a little too much to live with everyday, I'm sure there are other options though. The front end is very late 80's Nissan Maxima to me. Other than that I like the car a lot.

The 4 door Wrangler unlimited can be seen here... http://www.jeep.com/en/07wranglerunlimited/ That thing(Wrangler 4 door) is kickass!! As far as the other crap coming out, the Compass and the Patriot...terrible absolutley terrible!! Stop trying to please everybody is what I say and stick to your roots. The Compass's are all over in Michigan and they look worse in person.

Blue Devil/Stingray/Corvette SS engine spied?!?!?!

Somebody is getting fired from Wixom!! -
Are you one of those sensationalists like all these people out there saying replace President Bush, and somehow you believe a miracle will happen overnight. Even if Wagoner left tomorrow GM is not going to change in a whirlwind and all of sudden be making $30 billion in profits. Things take time and I think Rick Wagoner has them headed in the right direction. I think most of the problem is their entry level cars, they look just that entry level rental grade cars. I work at GM and most of the people here have desire for GM cars that are out of most everyones budget. What average person can afford an Escalade ESV, or a Z06? Not me! Does a base Cobalt interest me or an Aveo, HELL NO!! Come out with product the average car buyer WANTS!!

I am seeing more and more of them on the roads here in Michigan. They are still a rarity though. Great looking car and people who don't know what it is are like "whats that?!!". My girlfriend would like one, but they are a little pricey for her she said, or else she would get one in a heartbeat. I told her, you don't want a first year car even though its "in" right now.

I hope they have simplified the radio buttons. My buddy has one and I have tried to figure out that radio and its like I'm drunk or something when I go to change the station or anything for that matter. The damn thing is like trying to read the writing in a pyramid crypt, terrible absolutely terrible!!

I just came back from a trip over the weekend, and we drove in a borrowed Chevy Venture. The seats were not the most comfortable, but it got great gas mileage. We had 6 people in it with luggage and were doing 75-80+ with the air on and it got over 400miles to a tank. Not bad I would say. You can also get the 3.9L in the Uplander now which is 240hp and 240lb.-ft of torque, a nice improvement over the base engine.

I think everyone is ready for these small cars. Toyota and Honda are already pushing these cars into market. The Honda Fit is a prime example. GM needs to do this before the press jumps on them again and says their behind-AGAIN!!

All black for me!! Damn thats sinister...right up my alley!

Plus the reason the Duramax did not make it into the Suburban is for some strange reason the transmission tunnel is different than the Silverado, thus making them use a detuned Duramax. They could not stuff the Allison trans in there. I did ride a number of times in a passenger Chevy Express van with the Duramax in it. Very cool even though again it was detuned. That though was a mere clicks away in the cal. software...oh what fun!!

This is only going to hurt everyone in the industry not only GM. You will see a huge ripple effect go through every supplier not just Delphi. If they do this it will be close to game over and we might as well hand over most of the industry to Toyota or any other Asian manufactuer. A lot of selfishness on both sides at Delphi, not just the UAW but the white collar executives too. It was mentioned in this thread about the executive bonuses...are they insane?!! This is not the time to be shooting holes in the bottom of the boat when you are in a hurricane!!

Well the Saturn Aura is on the roads here in Michigan. And they are what looks like to me as close as you can get to a production car. I have been a skeptic of the Aura but now that I have seen one in person, up close, I have changed my mind. They look very nice and I dare say elegant! The interior was everything that the pictures show. And yes the wheels need to be changed, a little boring for my tastes. But all in all if I were to be shopping for nice family sedan I would consider one of these.

Korean totally, this thing screams KIA at me!!!!

As I said in a previous story on here, there have been a bunch of test mules running around Auburn Hills. But the funny story I will repeat is when I saw the Nitro on the shoulder of southbound I-75 with a group of engineers all on their phones scrambling around literally scratching their heads as smoke is coming out of this Nitro mule!! I was laughing out loud it was too funny!! But all in all not a bad looking vehicle.

Read the article here. What was this guy thinking in the first place? And more importantly did he know that GM could put a huge smack down on him? http://autoweek.com/apps/pbcs.dll/article?...41/TOC01ARCHIVE
