  1. Get rid of the stripe and the wing and we have a winner! I never liked wings on the Lambos I always thought they ruined the clean lines. An impressive weight reduction, and I hope they sharpened up the steering too. This could be more of a contender for the F430 then.
  2. Not too much different than the car already shown here.... http://www.cheersandgears.com/forums/index...showtopic=15637
  3. I heard on the news on the way in to work that GM had posted a $1,000,000 bounty on any info or if someone would give up the person up who did it.
  4. GM@Geneva DON'T MOURN MONARO – HERE COMES THE VXR8! New Vauxhall supersaloon on sale in July, priced at £34,995 6.0-litre V8, 420bhp, 0-60mph in 4.9 secs. First VXR model available with an auto gearbox Motoring enthusiasts across Britain mourned the passing of the Monaro. The only Australian-built car to be sold in the UK offered raw and exciting performance thanks to its 6.0-litre V8 and rear-wheel drive set up. But the thunder from down under hasn't stopped yet – in fact it's only going to get louder. Vauxhall has announced the arrival of a new Aussie musclecar – the VXR8 – and it's more powerful and exciting than even the legendary Monaro. The dramatic-looking new saloon is powered by the same 6.0-litre V8 as the outgoing Monaro VXR, but revisions to the engine have made it even more efficient. It now develops a massive 420PS and 550Nm of torque, giving it enough grunt to sprint from 0-60mph in just 4.9 seconds. No other supercar offers this sort of power for anywhere near the VXR8's price. Yet the VXR8, based on Australia 's Holden HSV Clubsport R8, offers more in the way of practicality than the outgoing Monaro, with four doors and space for all the family. Although practical, with a spacious boot, comfortable, long-legged cruising ability and luxuries such as climate control and leather trim, the VXR8 is certainly no softie. Driver aids such as the stability system and traction control can be turned off at the flick of a switch – perfect for drivers who want to hone their skills on a track day! And VXR8 goes as well as it stops, too, with powerful 365mm front disc brakes that slow the car down from 60mph to a standstill faster than a Lamborghini Murcielago or BMW M5. In response to customer demand, the VXR8 will also be the first VXR model to be offered with an automatic gearbox. In order to maintain the control which VXR buyers require, the optional £1,400 self-shifter has a manual override and a sport setting which ensure the performance isn't blunted – in fact the auto is only half a second slower to 60mph than the manual! Satellite navigation and 20-inch wheels will be offered as options for those who want to make their VXR8 look more distinctive and help find their way to the best driving roads. Even with all the option boxes ticked however, the VXR8 is still around half the price of other cars with comparable performance. As all fast car fans know, Aussie rules....... ----------------------------------------- A pretty impressive car, does this signal more performance for the G8 in the future? http://www.carmagazine.co.uk/first_officia...=499&page=1
  5. They probably don't want the same scenario to happen to this car that happened to the GTO. Which it won't because this car is ten times more of a car than the GTO was! The money spent on bringing the GTO here I think got flushed down the toilet and they now have semi-cold feet. I think the G8 will be a runaway success, hell I would love to have one for myself.
  6. As if the Camry in any shape or form is attractive, this one is supposed to be more attractive?
  7. GOOD GOD!! That grille is even worse, I was just begining to admire the S5 when I saw that. That is horrible, what were they thinking, as if the regular grille is not obtrusive enough they had to make this one even more?! What are the specs on the S5 anway?
  8. So its a 3-series with an Audi grille? I know they are trying to compete, but with this bland of a design and with this obvious of a design rip off I don't think they can swing enough buyers. BMW has a stranglehold in this area, so Audi should have brought something a little more extravagant to the table.
  9. Why would anyone (DCX,GM) want to get into the BIG SUV market right now anyway when the trend is getting out of that and into more downsized friendly crossovers and SUVs?
  10. Too bad they dropped the ball in their ads in my current magazine for their engine stats. They quoted two different h.p. ratings for the Denali's 6.2L V8, 403 h.p. and 380 h.p. for the same engine, and then 6.0L V8 h.p. as 367 and then 366 h.p.?
  11. I like the keyfobs, its about time! VW, Merecedes, and BMW have been doing this for years so its time for GM to have some cool little innovations. I really like the updated STS interior too.
  12. Not for long. GM could whip up the performance wick on these engines in a milisecond and tromp all over that.
  13. I couldn't agree more. We are raising a bunch of candyasses anymore, America is on its way to becoming way too soft. Kids can't go to school because its too cold?! I stood at the bustop freezing my ass off when I was a kid. My mom said we would almost have to be flatlining not to go to school. Now we have to tweak an ad because somebody was offended!! I was not offended, where you?
  14. Its the Up With People singing group from the early 80's for all of you who are old enough to remember.
  15. Where does the toast go? They forgot to put in the slots in on the 08 for this ugly looking toaster.
  16. It looks more like a Hyundai Tiburon now to me.
  17. The fender vent needs to go and could save them a ton of tooling money by doing it, and the tailights remind me of a Toyota Matrix for some reason. Change those two things and we have a winner!
  18. The interior is horrible!! With all the latest upgrades GM has done to their other cars interiors this is a downgrade. It is a typical quirky econo-european interior. I remember being in an Opel years ago and this car looks the same inside, even now! The exterior color is cool though.
  19. Anyway or anywhere to get wallpapers of this yet? Thanks!!
  20. Where can wallpapers of this car be acquired?
  21. The whole thing is
  22. They've Aspenized the front end.
  23. "The standard powertrain combination in all models is the 1.8L Ecotec DOHC four-cylinder engine, which is paired with a five-speed manual transmission. The Ecotec engine is enhanced with variable valve timing to optimize power output and fuel efficiency. A four-speed automatic transmission is optional on all models." The transmission choices are somewhat disappointing.
  24. Its better than the CompASS! I think its a decent start to replacing the Cherokee if thats what it is. At least thats what everyone in this thread seems to agree on. It needs just a little more ruggedness added to it and its there.
  25. I've always liked the Dakota, I have even thought of getting one when my S-10 is close to being thrown away. I did not like the new one at first but I like it now. I am very surprised that Dodge has given it a refresh so soon! The current one has not been out that long has it?
