  1. My 1983 Cavalier had a little over 400,000 miles when my dad sold it, we bought it new and it was handed down from my parents, to my sisters, and then to me. It had the original engine/trans, the front end needed to be worked on after I jumped it too many times...(I was in high school c'mon)whoops!! The people that we sold it to came back three weeks later. My dad saw them pulling up the driveway and freaked out thinking they had some sort of problem. The guy and his wife just wanted to tell my dad that this was best car they ever bought...wow who knew!!

    2008 model info

Well they did have 2008 info on their sites but now it is pulled. What gives? GM is thee slowest when it comes to getting info out I swear. So the only 08 info out is the Impala...whoop dee doo. I built the truck that I really want on GMC's site last week, now I can't drool anymore than I do on a regular basis.
  3. This article was my whole point in another topic in this section, this idiot is only going to pillage Chrysler for his benefit. This only proves Bob is going to ruin Chrysler : But the new CEO also made clear that it will be critical for Chrysler to focus on the customer, not just try to cut costs. "The most important thing," said Nardelli, "is to have good-looking designs. Then you have to make sure the cars you're building are of the highest quality and reliability." That is thee most profound thing I have ever heard. Can you get anymore generic and make a more obvious statement? Chrysler has now become a Viking funeral ship, wave bye bye as it heads out to sea on fire never to be seen again.
  4. Here is GM's response to Chrysler's recent news about their new warranty program. Still The Best: GM’s 5-Yr./100k-Mile Powertrain Warranty Chrysler recently unveiled a Lifetime Powertrain Warranty. But it’s a quality statement that still doesn’t quite measure up, from GM's perspective. GM believes that our 5-Year/100,000-Mile Powertrain Limited Warranty continues to be the better choice. Length of time is not the sole factor in comparing manufacturers’ warranties. GM coverage focuses on the complete ownership experience and includes other provisions that our competitors do not offer, including transferability to the next owner and more complete coverage of parts. In addition, GM offers superior complementary programs, like courtesy transportation and roadside assistance. In other words, GM takes care of the vehicle and the owner, which is a competitive advantage. Of greater importance, GM has the quality to back-up the coverage we offer. Judge for yourself! Chrysler's Lifetime Powertrain Warranty covers 2008 model year vehicles delivered on or afterJuly 26. By contrast, the GM 5 Year/100,000 Mile Powertrain Warranty covers 2007 and 2008 model year vehicles, as well as eligible 2002-2006 GM Certified Used Vehicles. The Chrysler warranty applies to the original owner only; GM coverage is transferable from owner to owner for 5 years or 100,000 miles (whichever comes first). Chrysler coverage requires an inspection by an authorized Chrysler, Dodge or Jeep dealer every five years; no inspection is required in connection to GM coverage. Most importantly, ALL 2007 and 2008 GM passenger car/light duty trucks are covered by the GM warranty. Chrysler's warranty coverage comes complete with a laundry list of exclusions, including: SRT vehicles, Sprinter, all Ram Cab/Chassis; vehicles equipped with diesel engines; rentals; government vehicles; and those vehicles used by police or as taxis, limousines, postal vehicles and ambulances.
  5. I like Saab's, but a lot of people were ticked off when GM bought them, citing that they were going to ruin the brand. They did help it in some ways and ruined them in others. Most recently I have read articles about how crappy the handling/steering is on Saab's still, and that the dreaded torque steer monster still lurks around. AWD may help this but that is just a bandaid I think. I guess keeping Saab could be a question again of too many brands under the GM umbrella, because you can only spread the money around to every brand so much, and this has shown up in Saab more and more.
  6. This article should give some more insight to this joker. http://www.autoblog.com/2007/08/07/video-t...s-than-answers/
  7. I wouldn't say they are completly ruined...yet. They probably will be once this guy takes the wheel and steers them into an iceburg.

    new job

I'm looking for a part-time job myself. Things are tough in the wonderful state of Michigan. High unemployment/layoffs, foreclosures, gas prices, taxes, and Jennifer Granholm is high too don't forget!! I have not had a raise in 4yrs so I think it's time to supplement my income because nothing is on the horizon. I could elaborate more about my lack of a raise but I think I will keep my mouth shut for fear of someone watching me.
  9. What a joke appointing Nardelli!! This guy is only going to ruin Chrysler after he decimated Home Depot and left with a $210 million prize. Home Depot's stock dropped waayyy down when he was at the helm, I can only imagine what will happen next. They were on the right path with LaSorda I believe, now I'm not so sure.
  10. Why doesn't the media just get a room with Toyota so they can get it over with. I'm tired of the endless BJ's they are giving this company.
  11. WHY????!!!!
  12. So...nobody got my hint when I said Alpha about the Colorado? Man what more can I say but V8.
  13. Here is a picture of one from SEMA. The one I saw did not have these wheels or all the chrome, other than the grille on it. http://www.cheersandgears.com/forums/index...p;mode=threaded
  14. Don't worry about the Colorado, just think happy thoughts (Alpha) and it will be bring a smile to your face.
  15. You will be very pleased with the look of this truck, I would love to have one for myself!! It is a great looking truck when you see it in person. I did not get a chance to see the interior yet.
  16. Next-Gen Pontiac Performance Brand wants to add muscle but wrestles with CAFE standards 20XX Pontiac G6 Sketch by Zulehan Link to Original Article @ AutoWeek | Published 07/30/07, 12:08 pm et AT A GLANCE: FUTURE PRODUCT PLANS 2008 G8 debuts 2009 Solstice coupe debuts 2010 Possible G5 redesign 2011 Solstice restyled, re-engineered ---------------------- General Motors wants to transform Pontiac into its "affordable performance" brand with a new lineup of rear-wheel-drive cars. But the CAFE debate has thrown those plans into turmoil. G5: General Motors might replace Pontiac's entry-level car with a redesigned model, possibly as early as the 2010 model year. Rear drive has been mentioned for the next G5, as Pontiac moves away from front-drive cars. The bottom line: The current G5 may remain in Pontiac's lineup one or two years longer than originally planned. G6: "What do we do now?" also might be the question for the next-generation G6. The first plan was to restyle and re-engineer the G6 on GM's new Epsilon 2 front-wheel-drive vehicle architecture, debuting for the 2010 model year. But that plan was canceled in the past year when GM executives decided that the brand's cars should all be rwd to further distinguish Pontiacs from Chevrolets. The Pontiac Solstice is rwd, as is the Pontiac G8 sedan that goes on sale in January. So the next-generation G6 was shifted to GM's new global rwd vehicle architecture, called Alpha. The redesigned G6 had been slated for the 2012 model year with assembly in the Oshawa, Ontario, plant. The rwd G6 is larger and heavier than the current fwd model. But with the push in Congress to dramatically boost CAFE standards, the rwd G6 program was put on hold. Later, it was put back on track pending the resolution of the CAFE debate by Congress and the Bush administration. It appears to be on hold again. Grand Prix: GM will discontinue the Grand Prix at the end of the 2007 model year. Expect most of the last Grand Prix models to be sold to daily rental fleets. G8: The 2008 Pontiac G8 will be the first car sold in the United States developed on GM's global rwd vehicle architecture. The car is essentially a Pontiac version of the redesigned Holden Commodore, which was developed by GM's Australian subsidiary. The G8 will be assembled in Australia; U.S. sales begin in January. The G8 shares much of its sheet metal with the Commodore. Unique to the G8 are the hood, front fascia, grille and headlights. The fascia and bumpers had to be engineered to meet U.S. specifications. The base G8 will have a 261-hp, 3.6-liter V-6; the GT model will have a 362-hp, 6.0-liter V-8. The G8 is intended to be Pontiac's flagship sedan, eventually replacing the Grand Prix. But it will be one step up in terms of price, starting at around $25,000. GTO: Some within GM want to add a sporty, high-performance coupe to the Pontiac range, a spiritual successor to the GTO and Firebird. There is no time frame for such a car, and at this point, neither the GTO nor Firebird name likely would be used. Solstice: A fastback coupe is scheduled to be added for the 2009 model year. Higher-horsepower engines are planned, but a V-6 is not. GM likely will re-engineer and reskin or restyle the Solstice for the 2011 model year. Torrent: The Torrent crossover ends production in January 2010, leaving Pontiac with a car-only product line. The Torrent's replacement shifts to GMC, with production set to start in the first quarter of 2010 as a 2011 model.
  17. About damn time they made a announcement on this instead of leaving us scratching our heads for another 3 years. This is good news for me, becuase by the time it comes out I might be able to afford one...lol.
  18. I think everyone agrees on the 6-speed. This should be introduced right out of the gate when this car is launched, that way all the media can't have any arsenal to fire on this car with. Drop the 4-speeds already!!!!
  19. So where are they...lol. I'm with him on this.
  20. It didn't kill it for me. It is just that you get all excited when there is a very good review of a new GM product and then they have to give you a kick in the nuts at the end...LOL!
  21. I already know I will be happy with the H4 :AH-HA_wink: :AH-HA_wink: That is all I can say about that. I totally agree, you could even get saayyy a Colorado/Canyon. Who would of thought of that??!! A small pickup based on the same chassis that can do the same things and has the same engines, and will have the V8 too!! Sweet Jesus what is the world coming to...LOL!
  22. "While the 2008 Cadillac CTS isn't likely to surpass the established Germanic thoroughbreds, it has grown into a more capable car with a vastly improved interior. Best of all, its well-sorted chassis doesn't fall to its knees when pushed hard." They are already setting this car up for failure??!! What a bunch of a$$holes!!!! This is just their opinion, wait until the rest of the media's articles come out, I bet it will get much better reviews even though overall they liked it. But why take a stab right at the end of the article? I'm really starting to not like Edmunds more and more, they are becoming the consumer reports of online sites. By the way ZL-1 can you help out with the pic, I would like to make it my wallpaper as well. Yeah I know I'm a copycat...LOL!
  23. They should have just left this market alone. Opel is doing just fine and this only proves that Europe does not want "american" cars in their market. I don't care if they have the most technological diesels in the world Europeans just have different tastes and those tastes don't include Cadillac, Chevrolet, or Hummer. They've already bashed the BLS, and the H3. The SRX got a lukewarm response and maybe just maybe the next-gen CTS will fair better diesel and all.
  24. Who cares about the H3T...I don't! Besides this thing is hideous and is no where near the good looking concept it once was. I keep saying this over and over again and I will say it again...bring on the H4 already dammit!!!!
  25. Ouch!! Just when things were starting to look up for GM they take a hit. What kind of impact will this have on the talks that are underway with the UAW?
