  1. That's sounding vaguely like the smk argument; 'it sells the most so it's the best'.
  2. Like I said; perceptions lag.
  3. 4994 miles, no issues. Dash MPG up to 24.3 (400 mile window), best was 24.6.
  4. Not nuts about the color scheme, but the design is eternal ~
  5. ^ My statement was- they have no "advantage", not that they were 'POS'.
  6. Toyoter lost their reliability advantage a decade ago.
  7. And yet GM has made literally countless advancements, despite claims of rampant ignorance and stupidity. Howbow dah? It's called 'management & engineers & design working together'.
  8. Bolt came out in 2017 with a 238 mile range. It's currently 259. ccap's posted chart is very good info (if the results of real-world independent results, not OEM-sourced). hyundai, vw, bmw, Chevy & Ford see some significant loss, but Teslas apparently do not. I have good faith in GM, but the Ultium system is brand new to production- and you know you should never buy the first year of a new major system. ?
  9. Of course, you can't start developing a vehicle you intend to sell that year. And (assumedly) with a brand new, untried architecture, toyoter would need at least 5 years' head start, which means 2024 (for a fall 2029 intro). They were lobbying against BE moves like 5 minutes ago. Which means they have less than 3 years.
  10. Another reason I'm in my last new vehicle (and only 2nd), ever : >>"Ford Motor Company and Honda have met a commitment ahead of schedule to equip most of their vehicles with automatic emergency braking this year, significantly reducing crash and injury risk for thousands of drivers, according to a news release from Consumer Reports and the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety Friday. Ford and its luxury brand Lincoln, along with Honda and its luxury brand Acura, installed the safety feature on more than 95% of the vehicles they produced for the U.S. market between Sept. 1, 2020 and Aug. 31, 2021. Insurance data shows that front crash prevention systems with both forward collision warning and automatic emergency braking cut rear-end crashes by half."<< To put it bluntly; I do NOT want this type of automatic controls over the driving experience.
  11. I’m not reading anyone here ‘making a mountain out of a molehill’; merely asking to see data on extreme cold weather BE degradation. It’s a valid question. And there’s nothing wrong in asking it.
  12. The above pic is primarily computer-renders; note the chopped-off wheels of the far right 2nd-row one, pus the cast shadows are inconsistent. Not so sure toyoter has it's ducks in a line yet on this move.
  13. That might be formidable to tabulate on numerous fronts. Do you happen to speak Norwegian? I assume Tesla, the company, has done cold weather testing / data collection. Would be interesting to read their findings.
  14. ^ OK, so what's the data from Tesla on winter weather performance degradation? Surely it's been tabulated by now.
  15. ^ I have no intentions of finding out, personally... ever.
  16. I saw a pic of some bacon-wrapped stag beetles; interesting.
  17. Looks (what we can see so far) MUCH better than the Lightning - and it still strongly says 'GMC'. It will be interesting to see the pickups when revealed.
  18. Who knows- GM has stated they will be ‘mostly’ BE by 2035; that leaves a LOT of ‘time room’. All these articles, political posturing and OEM futurism are sidestepping one thing- getting consumers to buy them.
  19. Corvette's not competing with anything at Dodge, so; irrelevant. And we'll see about 2023. That's a mere 8 months away (by rough model year), and everything coming out next Sept needs to already be finalized TODAY. We've only seen one CGI render to date. ?
  20. I assume (with no evidence either way), that's it's basically impossible to order any non-standard / non-optional change. I just read that at GM in the '60s, there were tiers of color options. 1. Regular factory colors by brand. 2. Any colors used at other corporate brands. 3. Any colors made by the paint company supplier. 4. Custom-mixed colors.
  21. Spoiler question is going to depend on a lot of things, most especially; are we talking front spoiler or rear?
