nothing in the store had a price on it. I dunno if it was even for sale. It was out front sort of as a way to get people to stop and come in and buy a Vespa on impulse. I wanted to get in it reallll bad but the dude inside was watching us like a hawk and didn't seem pleased to see us there.

I moved away from all of my friends. If you ever meet any of them, god have mercy on your soul. I have a couple of really awesome friends up here though!

I disagree. nothing is worse than finding out that you are a product of rape. And the mother will always look at that child and remember how they were created. Trust me on this one. From a womans point of view.

Found this at a scooter store in Swannanoa. It's got a kick-ass lawnmower engine right behind the seat

I wouldn't say anything unless you talk to her frequently already. If you haven't spoken to her since high school, it might be odd to say "hey I was MySpace stalking you saw you were pregnant..." But everyone appreciated a "congrats I'm sure it will be a beautiful baby!" My boyfriend is 30 and he graduated HS in 1994, so for him, looking up people he went to high school with is very strange. The two Mexican brothers who didn't speak English are now plastic surgeons, and the wimpy nerdy dude who weighed 90lbs is now a prof. body builder with a family. In fact, most everyone he went to HS with has a family now. I graduated in 2003 so my friends are still drinking beer and being sluts. (except one who got married) Just depends on your perspective of it.

that website has some scary stuff on it, but at least for Asheville, it's total crap. They have some nutso story about the Biltmore on there. George Vanderbilt never went "crazy", and must to the dismay of guests, there are no ghost stories save for that dog, but even thats made up by bored tour guides. I used to work there, and had hoped there were some ghost stories, but really...there are none. Oh well!

thats awesome. It's not too hard to find mechanical parts, but very hard to find small body pieces like clips and stuff. I wouldnt know where to begin looking for a replacement sail panel. I'm excited about learning how to work on my car by myself and not rely so much on the mechanics. Like someone said before, they are very easy to work on, so it isn't intimidating, and it makes it fun. thanks for the information, I'll keep it in mind.

the fancy speedbumps like in gated communities? those are awesome.

OMG seriously, parts are hella expensive!!! I called to get a damn replacement bolt cap for my high-light and they wanted like $6 per cap! It's just a little red piece of plastic! Needless to say I just removed the other one to balance it out and screw that Honda dealership. And don't even get me started on charging $30 for a plastic honda badge. GAWD. thanks for the welcome!

Oh and thanks for letting me know what that truck is. It does look a lot like an early Bronco....

Hahaha...Sorry to hear that. I actually work for a chiropractor, and my direct boss is a massage therapist...so I kinda know what I'm doing, and if I don't, I have two know-it-alls to tell me. I dont get free massage therapy, but I do get free chiropractic care and that helps a lot. The problem with the Honda emblems is that they are held on with two pins, so when you remove it, it leaves two holes. Im sure I coulda put in some colored epoxy or something like that, but I'd rather just glue a new emblem on. The hairdryer trick is a good one. That's how I got the original emblem off. NOS is stalking me... And VTECS are cool and you are just jealous Whats funny about those decals though, is that anyone who cares that it's a VTEC probably already knows, and those who don't know what VTEC means certainly do not care. But *I* care and it's the only thing I've done to my car so far as far as "mods" (haha) and I think it's tasteful and cute So there.

Miata and a Del Sol....two of my fav cars!

I like the look of the H emblems off of the car, but I really have no way to shave them off. I dont have the tools and I really dont want to pay the money to get a decent paint job afterwards. So...replacement H for me Thank you!!! It IS shiny! Hehe, yeah I did injure myself pretty badly. I was a little too enthusiastic about waxing it and I'm still hurting from it. Yesterday I made it worse by going over all of the rubber seals and the targa top with some silicone grease. But it looks reallllly good now.

Hey I saw this odd FORD truck thing in the local cemetery and wondered if anyone knew what it was. My boyfriend said it was one of the first SUVS that was made...but he's no expert. And as a side note, I am very happy to get a replacement H for my hood! A nice guy with a del Sol had an extra one because he shaved all of his off. People with del Sols are automatically friends with other people that have del Sols. It's like some kind of secret club. Other del Sol drivers honk at me when they see my car and are always more than willing to help with anything or talk about cars. It's really neat, and that doesn't happen with a lot of things, so I feel lucky I reeeeeeally need to spray that plate black. It's an eyesore being white like that....Or I could just get a new plate... I also added these! You might think that's rice-y, but it's not because thats whats ACTUALLY under the hood (although I wish I'd bought decals that say DOHC VTEC instead.)

hey Brian, just buy a tank and get it over with already. And stop abandoning me on AIM!!! It's really annoying!

That sounds about right. Most of the structures are still very conservative. I made a humble website with some of the pictures Ive been taking with my new camera. It's just a bunch of shots, mostly of plants, from the Asheville area. Being from FL, I've never really been through any seasons before and I'm finding it terribly fascinating. The flowers are baffling to me. If you know what any of them are that have "unidentified" next to it, I would really appreciate knowing. You can email me at lauren at bansemer dot com The website is HERE!! And I will be adding to it frequently.

The South is very conservative. (as a side note- FL is not cosidered 'South') Most of our radio and TV is eaten up by religious programming. However, Asheville is an anomaly. Dunno exactly how it sprang up, but it's very hippie. On the other hand, this IS the south, so out where I live it's pretty evenly split between hippie and yuppie. We have a Starbucks, but for every yuppie store there are 2 more incense and Tibetan prayer flag shops. Yeah I'm new...but I joined because I'm friends of Brian's from high school. I have no idea about Andie McDowell. Personally I really dislike her. She married some guy up here that owns a car lot.

Yes I am aware it's Japanese, but it would be available in France...plus with the steering wheel on the other side of the car. I'm not moving to Japan

I think maybe someone should combine these commercials...
